HOW TO MEASURE YOUR BL0OD PRESSURE PROPERLY AT HOME

Preparation before measurement

Remove the jewelry from your hand, Avoid eating, drinking alcohol or caffeinated beverages, smoking, exercising or bathing for 30 minutes prior to taking a measurement. It’s best to take a reading on bare skin, pull up long sleeves

Tighten the cuff properly

Wrap the cuff around your wrist, attaching it to itself with the hook-and-loop fastener. The display needs to be on your inner wrist, as your pulse is strongest there.

Rest wrist at heart level

For an accurate reading, place your arm on a pillow or similar. The monitor should be the same level with your heart for the best reading

Start measuring

Do not move while cuff inflates and deflates. Take two or three readings approximately a minute apart to get an average and record your readings with our time/date stamp function.

FAQs

If checking a child’s blood pressure, would you place the cuff on their wrist or their upper arm?****

We always recommend you consult your physician or health care provider prior to use. We also do not recommend using a wrist cuff for anyone under the age of twelve years of age.

I lost thing instructions. Can you check it while lying down? If so, where do you place your arm?****

Your arm should be above your heart. That is the main thing. Think cool thoughts and you’ll get a better reading.

My wrist cuff shows only the double zeros and then goes to one zero. It will not inflate. Do I need an update?****

Try with fresh batteries. If that does not work, then you might need to get a new monitor.

Does this monitor have a carrying case?****

It’s a hard plastic case. Small, simple, no handles.

Can I print the memory results?****

No, if don’t think you can, but it can be saved.

Can you turn off the voice that read the blood pressure numbers for you?****

Yes you can turn off the talking feature. Press and hold the SET button (far left button) for approximately 2 seconds. You can then turn the voice operation on or off by pressing the M button (far right button). The screen will read On or Off. To save your chosen mode press the START/STOP button to turn unit off (center button). This will automatically save your preference.

Anyone getting different readings? I mean, I get from 140 to 112 range! Not accurate at all.****

I found this machine to not be accurate at all. Always too low.

How small will it go? My wrist is 5 inches around.****

It actually wraps around the center of your arm, not your wrist. It is a Velcro wrap and can adjust to a small arm.

How do you change the language from Spanish to English?****

There is system setting instructions in the manual, which you can set the memory group, Time/Date, time format( EU time and U.S. time), voice(symbol “L1″=Enlish, “L2″= Spanish, “OFF”= Mute) and volume settings. In short, turn off the monitor before setting, then press”SET” button to move on to the setting you want, when get there, press “M” as choice making. Save settings by turn off the monitor whenever you have done setting.

My wrist cuff will not operate?****

Did it ever operate? If not, did you insert the batteries (and in the right way?) The positive poles have to be as shown in the battery compartment. So you need to check if the polarity is right, if it is and the monitor does not work, then you need to see if it works with fresh (new) batteries!

How to reset the date, time, etc. after incorrect ‘Set’ = wrong date, etc.?****

Start over.

You can refer to the owner’s manual (page 17). Press the SET button to set the time/date mode. Adjust the M key to set the year first, then press the SET key to confirm the current month, and continue to set the day, hour, and minute in the same way. Each time you press the SET button, it will lock your selection and continue.
