OPERATION
Lighting Burners – Simply press the knob, turn it counterclockwise to the
maximum and the burner will turn on. Before releasing the knob, make sure that
the flame is established, if the burner does not light, put it in the off
position and try again.
If in case of power failure or ignition failure, you can use a match or
lighting device. Care must be taken when using this method.
The device should not be used for more than 15 seconds. If after 15s the
burner has not ignited, stop the device and open the cell door and/or wait at
least 1 minute before attempting to ignite the burner again. If the burner
flames accidentally go out, turn off the burner control and do not attempt to
relight the burner for at least 1 minute.
If it is not possible to light the flame even after several attempts, check
that the “cap” and “crown” (see diagram below) are in the correct position. To
turn off the flame, turn the knob to the “●” symbol.
- Lid burner
- Corona burner
- Burner plate
- Electrode Of power on
- Thermocouple
When the network is turned on, after installation or after a power outage current, it is normal for the spark generator to activate automatically.
Burner | Minimum diameter | Maximum diameter |
---|---|---|
Triple flame (fast) | 240 mm | 260 mm |
Large (fast) | 160 mm | 240 mm |
Medium (semi-rapid) | 120 mm | 220 mm |
Piccolo (auxiliary) | 80 mm | 160 mm |
If you use a pot smaller than the recommended size, the flame will spread
beyond the bottom of the container, causing the handle to overheat.
When using a pan with concave or convex bases, you can place a accessory pan
support on the pan support. And use a pan appreciated on the accessory pan
support.
Be careful when frying food in hot oil or fat, as superheated splatters could
easily catch fire.
Warning: You are against using cooking vessels on the griddle that
overlap its edges.
As soon as a liquid begins to boil, lower the heat so that it is barely
keeping the liquid boiling. If the control knobs become difficult to turn,
contact your local service center.
MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING
Before carrying out any maintenance or cleaning operation, you must turn off
the stove.
It is best to clean the hob while it is still hot; as the spill can be removed
more easily than when left to cool.
The hob panel
Rub the hob regularly with a soft cloth well wrung out in water lukewarm to
which a little detergent has been added. Avoid using:
- household detergents ebleaches;
- impregnated pads not suitable for non-stick pans;
- wool pads steel;
- bathroom/sink stain removers.
For stainless steel hobs, use a proprietary stainless steel cleaner.
Pan supports
The grills are dishwasher safe. If you wash them by hand, be careful when
doing so drying as the glazing and drying process occasionally leaves edges
irregular. If necessary, remove stubborn stains using a paste detergent.
The burners
Burner caps and crowns can be removed for cleaning. Wash I burner caps and
crowns with hot soapy water and remove the marks with a delicate paste
detergent. A swab of steel wool soaked in soap well moistened can be used with
caution, if the marks are particularly difficult to to remove. After cleaning,
be sure to dry with a soft cloth.
Ignition electrode
Electric ignition is achieved via a ceramic “electrode” and a metal electrode
(see diagram on page 3 – number 4). Keep these components very clean, to avoid
ignition difficulties, and check that the holes in the burner crown are not
blocked.
Thermocouple
Thermocouple is very crucial to cut off the gas supply in case of flame going
out during cooking, make sure to keep them in very clean condition.

IMPORTANT SAFETY REQUIREMENTS
Predisposition for ventilation
The hob must not be installed in a living room with a volume of less than 20
m3. If it is installed in a room with a volume of less than 5 m3, a socket is
required of air with an effective area of 110 cm2. If it is installed in a
room with a volume between 5 m3 and 10 m3 an air intake with a useful surface
area of 50 cm2 is required, while if the volume exceeds 11 m3 no air intake is
necessary. However, if the room has a door that opens directly outward
requires no vent even if the volume is between 5 m3 and 11 m3. If they are
present in the same room other fuel burning appliances, B.S. 5440 Part 2
Current Edition, must be consulted to determine the necessary requirements for
vents.
POSITION
The hob can be placed in a kitchen, a kitchen/dining room or a living room
with bed, but not in a bathroom, shower room or garage. Before make the cut in
the work surface make sure there is a minimum distance of 55 mm between the
rear edge of the hob and the wall. A distance must be left minimum of 100 mm
between the side edges of the top and any adjacent wall units or walls. There
minimum distance of combustible material that can be mounted above the hob in
line with the edges of the top is 400 mm. If it is mounted below 400 mm it
must be left a space of 50 mm from the edges of the top. The minimum distance
of material fuel that can be mounted directly above the hob is 700 mm.
Warning: Using a gas cooking appliance causes the production of heat and
humidity in the room where it is installed. Make sure the kitchen is well
ventilated: keep natural ventilation openings open or install a ventilation
device mechanics.
Prolonged intensive use of the appliance may require additional ventilation,
such as opening a window, or more effective ventilation, for example
increasing the level of mechanical ventilation where present.
INSTALLATION
IMPORTANT : The hob must be installed by a competent person to the relevant gas regulations. Make sure that, once installed, the hob is easily accessible for the technician in the event of a fault.
WHEN THE FIRST INSTALLATION OF THE HOB
Once the hob has been installed, it is important to remove any protective
materials, that were placed in the factory.
Any gas installation must be carried out by a competent person. The
manufacturer assumes no responsibility in the event that the above
instructions or any other safety instructions incorporated in this book are
ignored.
At the end of the shaft, which includes the GJ 1/2 “threaded elbow, the
adjustment is attached so that the washer is inserted between the components
as shown in the figure. Screw the parts together without using excessive
force.
Important: We recommend isolating the appliance from the furniture underneath with a separator, leaving a space of depression of at least 10mm. If the hob must be installed above an oven, it is necessary to take precautions to ensure compliant installation current accident prevention regulations. Pay particular pay attention to the position of the electric cable and the hose gas, they must not touch the hot parts of the oven. Furthermore, if the hob must be installed above an oven built-in without forced cooling ventilation, special air vents must be installed to ensure adequate ventilation, with less inlet and greater outlet of air.
GAS CONNECTION
The connection to the gas supply must be made with a rigid pipe or semi-rigid,
i.e. steel or copper. The connection must be suitable for connection to RC 1/2
(1/2 BSP male thread). Once the final connection is made, that’s it It is
essential that a thorough check of the hob’s leak-tightness is carried out of
the installation. Make sure that the main connection pipe does not exert any
force stress on the hob. When using a hose, keep that not can come into
contact with a moving part of the housing unit and does not pass through
spaces susceptible to congestion.
It is important to install the elbow correctly, with the shoulder at the end
of the thread, secured to the hob connection pipe. Failure to verify correct
assembly will result gas leaks.
- Gas inlet pipe
- 90° connecting elbow
- Connector nut
- Main power connector of the gas
ELECTRICAL CONNECTION
Any electrical work required to install this hob must be carried out by a
qualified electrician or competent person
THE HOB MUST BE EARTHED
This hob is designed to be connected to an electrical supply 230V 50Hz AC.
Before switching on, make sure that the electrical supply voltage is the same
indicated on the hob data label.
Make sure the hob’s power cord does not come into contact with surfaces with
temperatures above 50 degrees. C.
INSERTING THE HOB INTO THE WORKTOP
Carry out the installation of the top as follows:
- Place the gaskets supplied with the hob on the edges of the cutout make sure that the gaskets meet without overlapping;
- Position the hob in the recess, making sure it is centred
- Secure the top with the relative clamps and fixing screws, as shown in the figure.
Once the screws have been tightened, the excess gasket can be removed.
The edge of the hob forms a double seal that prevents the entry of liquids.
CONVERSION FROM NG TO LPG
Important
Replacement / transformation and adjustments of the gas hob must be carried
out only by a competent person.
Your model was designed to work with NG. Please check the note on the
appliance. But it can be converted from one gas category to another, make sure
that the injectors (supplied) are fitted and that the gas flow rate is
adjusted to suit.
Method
- Make sure the gas taps are in the “OFF” position
- Isolate the hob from the electricity supply
- Remove all grills, caps, rings, crowns and control knobs
With the aid of a 7mm socket wrench it is therefore possible to unscrew the injectors of the burner and replace them with the appropriate injectors (supplied). (Fig.1)
ADJUST THE GAS PRESSURE (Only professional installers can operate!)
If after the conversion from NG to LPG the flame is lowered to the minimum
position, adjust the gas pressure as follows: (Fig.2)
Place the faulty burner knob on the medium position so that the flame remains
stable. Remove the knob and, with a very thin screwdriver, turn the bypass
located in the central control rod of the tap in the maximum position.
Turn the knob to the minimum position. The flame will be too large. Remove the
knob again and reduce the pressure (by turning the bypass) down to one size
convenient for the flame. It means that the flame no longer lowers but neither
too big.
