PRODUCT OVERVIEW

Introduction to key functions:

1. 1.+/- Keys
   Short Press to change the channel up or down Long Press to continuously change channels

2. < P1> Key
   Short Press to decrease volume level Long Press for A/B Band switching Double Click to Mute, Double Click again to Unmute

3. < P2> Key
   Short Press to increase volume level Long Press to turn Talk Around On/off

4. < P3> Key
   Short Press: Speak the current channel
   Long Press: Turn Mic on/off
   Double Click: Place Mic in Pairing Mode (red/green flashing LED)

When the speaker microphone is connected to the Bluetooth system of the mobile phone and a call comes in, Short Press the button to answer the call, and Double-Click the button to hang up the call. When you are on a call, Short Press the button to hang up the call.

Please note that this speaker microphone is not an official headset for calls, so when you answer the call, the call sound quality will be poor. Try to use your mobile phone to answer the call.

LED STATUS INDICATORS

• Device Not Connected: Slowly flashing red
• Low voltage alarm: Quickly flashing red
• Entering pairing state: Alternately flashing red and green
• After successful pairing: Steady green
• Device disconnected: Quickly flashing red
• Mute state: Double flash
• Radio TX status: Steady red when PTT pressed
• Radio RX status: Steady green when receiving a signal
• Charging status: Red light
• Fully charged state: Green light

PAIRING TO THE RADIO

1. Long press the key to turn on the microphone, then double-click the key to enter pairing state. The indicator light on the microphone will flash red and green alternately, and a beep will sound to indicate that it has entered the pairing state.
2. Turn on the radio and switch the menu to General Settings > Bluetooth Settings on the radio. Select Pairing to enter pairing state.
3. BS-22 will be displayed in the list of available devices on the radio— select BS-22 and bind (pair) to it.

When Pairing is successful, the radio will turn off the pairing state. Observe if the “headset” icon is shown on the radio’s display, or press the PTT button to test. The display will display the upward transmitting icon. After releasing the PTT, the microphone will make a “beep” sound tone and the TX will turn off.

If pairing is unsuccessful, please repeat the steps shown above. If the speaker microphone has connected to a nearby radio, please turn off the other radio and try to pair again.

PAIR ON THE APP

1. Press and hold the button to turn on the microphone for pairing, then double-click the button. The indicator light of the microphone will flash red and green alternately, and a beep sound will indicate that it has successfully paired the units.
2. Open the app to enter the settings page. Click on “Connection Management” and place the app in scanning mode.
3. When the BS-22 is found and appears in the scanned list, click on it to pair.

UPGRADE STEPS

1. Open the Bluetooth page of the cell phone and connect to the speaker mic.
2. Open the BTech APP and press the PTT of the BS-22 once. If there is an update available, the menu will open and you can click “OK” to begin the upgrade.

PRECAUTIONS

1. The maximum usable distance of the mic from the radio is less than 10 meters (30 ft). Attempting to use beyond this range may cause the speaker microphone to transmit and receiveb abnormally. Returning closer to the radio should fix the issue.
2. After the wireless microphone is turned on, it will automatically search for the last paired radio. When the last paired radio fails to connect, the wireless microphone will automatically turn off after 3 minutes to save power. If the connection is made, it will beep to indicate that it is connected and can be used. During use, and the paired radio goes offline, the speaker microphone will prompt that the connection has been disconnected.
3. When the speaker microphone indicates that the battery is low, please charge the speaker microphone as soon as possible to continue use. Continued use with a low battery will cause the speaker microphone voltage to be lower than the allowed value and will shut the unit down. While charging, the indicator light shows red and turns blue when fully charged.
