Brief description of how to insert the spare wheel and the polystyrene toolbox into the spare wheel recess in the luggage compartment floor (see figures).

Fig. 2 – Remove the existing luggage-compartment floor covering from the vehicle.
Fig. 3 – Unscrew the plastic nuts at the front of the toolbox (see arrow 1). Remove the existing toolbox from the luggage compartment (see arrow 2).
Fig. 4 – Insert the polystyrene box in the spare wheel recess (in the position shown in the figure) such that the bolts welded to the vehicle floor protrude through the holes in the polystyrene box. Secure the box using the plastic nuts (the plastic nuts that were removed (see arrow) and the plastic nuts (B) from the set).
Fig. 5 – Insert the spare wheel (H) into the spare wheel recess in the vehicle’s luggage compartment, with the outside of the wheel facing down- wards.
Fig. 6 – Insert the fastening bolt with knob (C) into the opening in the spare wheel recess. Push the bolt in and turn it 90° clockwise.
Fig. 7 – Screw on the knob as far as it will go and tighten it. Then insert the luggage compartment floor pin (D) into the fastening bolt.
Fig. 8 – Wheel secured correctly using the luggage compartment floor pin.
Fig. 9 – Remove the towing lug, the tool for removing the wheel covers, the plastic clip for wheel bolt cover caps and other components (depend-ing on the equipment specification, e.g. attachment for anti-theft wheel bolts, light bulbs, etc.) from the existing box.
Fig. 10 – Place the car jack crank handle (F), the car jack (E), the wheel brace (G) and the other components removed from the existing box into the polystyrene box. If there is no space available in the polystyrene box for the light bulb case, this can be stowed in the netting system or in the storage compartment on the luggage compartment side panelling.
Fig. 11- Fit the existing floor covering back into the vehicle’s luggage compartment.

The vehicle’s Owner’s Manual describes in detail how to use the spare wheel and how to replace a wheel in the event of a puncture.
