Product Usage Instructions

    Use the car seat only on a front-facing seat that is fitted with an automatic or static 3-point belt that has been approved according to the ECE R16 standard or similar. Do NOT use a 2-point belt.

  7. Headrest Adjustment:
    Adjust the headrest to the desired height using the headrest adjustment button.

  8. Child Positioning:
    Make sure the headrest is properly adjusted to the correct height for your child. Instruct your child not to play with the buckle and to hold their head against the headrest.

  9. Maintenance Instructions:
    The EPS parts of the headrest and backrest should not be removed.

Cleaning
Clean plastic parts with a wet cloth. Do not use harsh cleaning agents. Never use chemical cleaning or bleaching agents.

Cover
Take the covers off completely to wash them. Follow the washing instructions reported on the label attached to the fabric. Wash plastic parts using warm water and soap. Do not use aggressive cleaning agents.

WARNING:
The covers are an integral part of the child seat: the seat must not be used without the covers. The covers must only be replaced with manufacturer- replacement covers.

SAFETY

We recommend you always use your TERRA with the ISOFIX connectors when your vehicle is equipped with it.

General instructions TERRA I size:

  1. The car seat is for car use only.
  2. The car seat is developed for an intensive use of approximately 10 years.
  3. We advise checking the expanded polystyrene (EPS) parts regularly for damages.

WARNING:
Check that the child seat is properly installed. It is important for your child’s safety that you fit the belt correctly. The vehicle belt must be fixed along the appropriate markings/ positioning points on the seat. Please also read the label on the side of the car seat. Never fit the belt in any way other than as shown. If in any doubt about the correct installation or use of the system, the user is advised to contact the distributor or the manufacturer of the child restraining device system.

TERRA in the car

  1. After purchasing, install the seat in your vehicle. If you encounter any installation problems, contact your distributor immediately (prior to use).
  2. Use the car seat only on a front-facing seat that is fitted with an automatic or static 3-point belt that has been approved accor-ding to the ECE R16 standard or similar. Do NOT use a 2-point belt.
  3. Remove the car seat headrest if it stops you from adjusting the headrest of the car seat to the desired height.
  4. Make sure to replace the headrest of the back seat of your vehicle when you remove the car seat.
  5. The car seat back support cannot be removed to ensure optimum safety.

WARNING:
TERRA must only be installed in the car in a forward-facing position.

Your child in the TERRA

  1. Make sure the headrest is adjusted to the proper height.
  2. Tell your child not to play with the seat belt buckle and to keep its head against the headrest.
Maintenance instructions

The EPS parts of the headrest and backrest may not be removed.

WARNING:

  • Any straps holding the restraint to the vehicle should be tight, any straps restraining the child should be adjusted to the child’s body, and the straps should not be twisted.
  • Ensuring that any lap strap is worn low down and that any impact shield is installed properly so that the pelvis is firmly engaged, shall be stressed.
  • The device should be replaced when it has been subject to violent stresses in an accident.
  • It is a danger of making any alterations or additions to the device without the approval of the Type Approval Authority and a danger to not following closely the installation instructions provided by the child restraint manufacturer.
  • When the chair is not provided with a textile cover, it shall be recommended that the chair should be kept away from sunlight, otherwise, it may be too hot for the child’s skin.
  • Children should not left in their Enhanced Child Restraint System unattended.
  • Any luggage or other objects liable to cause injuries in the event of a collision shall be properly secured.
  • The Enhanced Child Restraint System shall not be used without the cover.
  • The Enhanced Child Restraint System cover should not be replaced with any other than the one recommended by the manufacturer, because the cover constitutes an integral part of the restraint performance.
  • When used for stature heights between 135 to 150cm this seat might not fit in all vehicles.
  • The instructions should be retained for future use.
  • The user shall also be referred to the vehicle manufacturer’s handbook.
