Alpaca IH-20N Series Electric Fireplace Logs 23 Inch

Thank you for choosing our Electric Fireplace. This owner’s manual will provide you with valuable information necessary for the proper care and maintenance of your new product. Please take a few moments to thoroughly read the instructions and familiarize yourself with all the operational aspects of your new heater.

IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS

When using this electric unit, basic safety precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and injury to persons, including the following

  1.  Read ALL instructions before using this unit.
  2. CAUTION : Risk of Electric Shock. DO NOT open or try to repair the heater yourself.
  3. This heater may get hot when in use. To avoid burns, DO NOT let bare skin touch hot surfaces. If provided, use handles when moving this heater.
  4.  Keep combustible materials, such as furniture, pillows, bedding, paper, clothes, and curtains at least 3 ft from the front of the heater and keep them away from the sides, top, and rear. DO NOT place towels or other objects on the heater.
  5. Extreme caution is necessary when any heater is used by or near children or the disabled, or when the heater is left operating and unattended.
  6. DO NOT operate any heater with a damaged cord or after the heater malfunctions, has been dropped or damaged in any manner. Return heater to authorized service facility for examination, electrical or mechanical adjustment, or repair.
  7. This heater is not intended for use in bathrooms, laundry areas and similar indoor locations. NEVER locate heater where it may fall into a bathtub or other water container. To protect against electrical hazards, DO NOT immerse in water or other liquids.
  8. DO NOT touch the control panel or plug with a wet hand.
  9. DO NOT run cord under carpeting. DO NOT cover cord with throw rugs, runners, or similar coverings. Arrange cord away from traffic area and where it will not be tripped over.
  10.  DO NOT insert or allow foreign objects to enter any ventilation or exhaust opening as this may cause an electric shock or fire, or damage the heater.
  11. To prevent a possible fire, DO NOT block the air intakes or exhaust in any manner. DO NOT use on soft surfaces, like a bed, where openings may become blocked.
  12. A heater has hot and arcing or sparking parts inside. DO NOT use in areas where gasoline, paint, explosive and/or flammable liquids are used or stored. Keep unit away from heated surfaces and open flames.
  13.  Always plug heaters directly into a wall outlet receptacle. Never use with an extension cord or relocatable power tap (outlet/power strip).
  14. To avoid fire or shock hazard, plug the unit directly into a 120 V AC electrical outlet.
  15.  To disconnect heater, turn controls to OFF, then remove plug from outlet. Pull firmly on the plug, DO NOT unplug by pulling on the cord.
  16.  Always unplug the unit before moving or cleaning, or whenever the heater is not in use.
  17. Use only for intended household use as described in this manual. Any other use not recommended by the manufacturer may cause fire, electric shock, or injury to persons. The use of attachments not recommended or sold by unauthorized dealers may cause hazards.
  18.  Always use on a dry, level surface. Use on floor only.
  19. DO NOT use outdoors.
  20.   WARNING : To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, DO NOT use this unit with any solid-state speed control device.
  21.  DO NOT attempt to repair or adjust any electrical or mechanical functions on this unit. Doing so will void your warranty. The inside of the unit contains no user serviceable parts. Qualified personnel should perform all servicing only.

Overheat Safety Feature
This heater is equipped with a overheat safety feature. When the heaters internal components reach a certain temperature that could cause overheat and possible fire, the heater will automatically shut off.
WARNING : It is normal for the power cord to feel warm to the touch; however, a loose fit between the outlet and the plug may cause overheating of the plug. If this occurs, try ingil outep for dam a different oullet. Contact a qualified electrician to inspect the original outlet for the damage.

THIS APPLIANCE HAS A POLARIZED PLUG (one blade is wider than the other). To reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug is intended to fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician to install the proper outlet.

Control Panel Operation

  1. Digital display : Indicate set room temperature, timer setting, flame color choose ,heat level setting function mode display.
  2. Flame button : choose flame color
  3. Power button : turn on/off
  4. UP button : Setting up the temperature
  5. Timer indicate : When timer function open, this indicate light on, When timer function off, this indicate light off.
  6. Remote control sensor receiver window
  7. Child lock indicate : When the Child lock function open, this indicate light on, Child lock function off, indicate light off
  8. Timer button : Open or close timer function, setting timer
  9. Heater button : High heating and low heating setting
  10. Down button : Setting down the temperature

Remote Control

  1. Remove the battery box cover along the indicated arrow.
  2.  Putting in two new AAA alkaline batteries (Package does not contain batteries), making sure the “+” and “-” polarities math.
  3.  Reinstall the cover into place.

Control Panel/Remote control Functions

Once the Electric fireplace has been properly assembled and connected to a electrical outlet and make sure the power button light on. It is ready to operate

  1. Start and select working mode
    Power button
    : Powers the heater on and off. In standby status, the display window show –, Click power button, Log color is orange, start breathing light mode, the flame color is red. The screen display room temperature. Other function off Press power button again, the machine off, The buzzer will have a long sound, and the machine will shut down after blowing left heat for 180 seconds. Afterwards, enter standby made

  2. Start and select working mode
    Select a heat setting. Press the HEATER button to toggle between the two heat settings. the display show H1(Low power)-H2(High power).– -(heating off). Long press this button to change Fahrenheit and Celsius degree
    Power for high heat mode is 1500W, low heat is 1000W, and turn off the heat.

  3. Setting room temperature
    Press the UP or DOWN button set temperature Set temperature indication varies from 59°F to 95°F. Once you have chosen the desired temperature, the heater will remain on until the room temperature increases to the temperature on the digital display. The heater will cycle on and off to maintain the desired room temperature.

  4. Setting Flame Color
    Flame button
    : Click this flame button, five flame start cycle color(Yellow- Red- Blue- Yellow + blue -Red + blue- Off) ,and also with breathing light mode(the light dark and light change) each time press the flame button, the flame show different color, total 5 colors, The flame color display(C1,C2,C3,C4,C5,), Every time you press the button, the LED lights will light by( CI) yellow, (C2)red, (C3)blue, (C4)blue-yellow, (CS) red+ blue
    Click flame button on key 3 seconds, the breathing light mode off, the light keeps on. Press this button again keep 3 seconds, Breathing light mode on

  5. Setting timer-power- off
    Caution! ONLY under power-on mode can you set timer-power-off function.
    When starting the unit, press the timer button on the control panel. Timer indicate light on
    Adjust the time by pressing the arrows on the control panel or remote control. When the machine turn on , Press and hold the timer button for 3-5 seconds to open the child lock function the digital display CL, Child lock indicate light on Repress and hold the timer button for 3-5 seconds, the child lock function off, Child lock indicate light off
    Digital display turns set temperature to time value for the timer. Press the timer button more than once, the value will vary from 0 to 12hr (1 hr interval) in circulation.

  6. Setting timer-power-on
    Caution! ONLY under power-off mode can you set timer-power-on function.
    Under power-off, press the timer button on the control panel. Timer indicate light on
    Adjust the time by pressing the arrows on the control panel or remote control.

Digital display indicates time value for the timer. Press the timer button more than once, the value will vary from 0 to 12hr (1 hr interval) in circulation.

Care, Cleaning and Maintenance

  • Cleaning
    ALWAYS turn the heater OFF and unplug the power cord from the outlet before cleaning. performing maintenance, or moving the fireplace. Failure to do so could result in electric shock, fire, or personal injury.
    NEVER immerse in water or spray with water. Doing so could result in electric shock, fire, or personal injury.

  • Metal
    Buff using a soft cloth, slightly dampened with citrus oil-based product. DO NOT use brass polish or household cleaners, as these products will damage the metal trim.

  • Glass
    Use a good quality glass cleaner sprayed onto a cloth or towel. Dry thoroughly with a paper towel or lint-free cloth. NEVER use abrasive cleansers, liquid sprays, or any cleaner that could scratch the surface.
    Use a vacuum or duster to remove dust and dirt from the heater and vent areas.

  • Plastic
    Wipe gently with a slightly damp cloth and a mild solution of dish soap and warm water.
    NEVER use abrasive cleansers, liquid sprays, or any cleaner that could scratch the surface.

  • Maintenance
    RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK! DO NOT OPEN any panels. No user-serviceable parts inside!
    ALWAYS turn the heater OFF and unplug the power cord from the outlet before cleaning, performing maintenance, or moving the fireplace. Failure to do so could result in electric shock, fire, or personal injury.

  • Electrical and Moving Parts
    The fan motors are lubricated at the factory and will not require lubrication. Electrical components are integrated in the fireplace and are not serviceable by the customer.

  • Storage
    Store fireplace in a clean, dry place when not in use.
