Thank you for choosing HABYS products and congratulations on your purchase. We recall that the proper use and maintenance of the products ensure full satisfaction of their use for many years.
CONDITIONS FOR SAFE USE OF THE PRODUCT
-
In order to avoid the risk of electric shock, fire or injury, the product must be used in accordance with the following:
a) do not use with generators, power converters, or inverters;
b) do not insert the product or power cord into a sofa or other furniture;
c) all parts of the blanket and controller should be visible during use;
d) do not allow electrical wiring to pinch;
e) do not use the product while sitting on rocking chairs, chairs with wheels, or other furniture with a movement function;
f) never grasp or pinch any of the electrical wires;
g) the heating area of the electric blanket should always lie flat to prevent overheating;
h) if the plug does not fit into the outlet, contact service or a qualified electrician;
i) make sure that only a dedicated power supply with 120V, 50HZ current ratings is used;
j) make sure that the cable from the controller is properly connected;
k) you can use this electric blanket with any sheets or blankets, but never in combination with other electric blankets;
l) do not roll up or fold the blanket during use;
m) keep the controls away from draughts and areas that are particularly exposed to changing conditions (e.g. open window);
n) always turn off the electric current when the blanket is not in use;
o) wrapping the cord around the controls may damage the cord;
p) if you observe any malfunction of this, stop using it immediately and consult your dealer;
q) the appliance is intended to be operated by adults only;
r) keep out of reach of children. Keep out of reach of children;
s) do not use the device on the following parts of the body: face, eyes, surgical wounds, infected, injured skin, damaged bones or joints;
t) if discomfort occurs, discontinue use immediately. -
Do not use the product without medical approval if you use a pacemaker, metal rods or plaques.

Frail persons and children should be supervised by an adult while using the device.

The above contraindications do not mean that you are prohibited from using the product, but we recommend that you consult your doctor beforehand.

MANUAL
Overview
-
Power Cord Connection:
a) Connect the power cord plug to the electric blanket by aligning the arrow on the cord plug with the arrow on the blanket connector;
b) A correct connection will be indicated by a characteristic click. -
Make sure that the cables are not tangled or pinched by other components.

Connect the controller plug to the 230V mains power supply.
NOTE: when disconnecting, proceed in reverse order: first disconnect the cord from the 230V mains power supply, then disconnect the power cord of the electrical blanket. -
On and off:
a) To switch on, press and hold the “Power button” button until the temperature information on the display is obtained;
b) To switch it off, press and hold the “Power button” button until the temperature information on the display disappears. -
Temperature Control:
a) The controller is equipped with a 4-stage temperature control described as:- W (40 ±5 [°C])
- L (45 ±5 [°C])
- M (50 ±5 [°C])
- H (55 ±5 [°C])
b) By default, when the power supply is turned on, the temperature value will be set to “W” (40 ±5 [°C]);
c) To increase the temperature, press the “+” button until the required temperature value is reached;
d) To lower the temperature, press the “-” button until the required temperature is reached.

Working Time Control:
a) The controller is equipped with a step-by-step adjustment of operation, 1h adjustment;
b) To change the operating time of the device, press the “H” button until the required value is reached on the display. -
Temperature Unit:
a) The controller is equipped with 2 modes, the temperature can be displayed in units [°C] and [°F];
b) To change units, press and hold the “M” button for about 3s.
Note: for the safety of use, the product is equipped with a power switch, it will activate automatically after a period of 10 hours of continuous operation.
CLEANING, MAINTENANCE AND STORAGE
NOTE: We recommend washing before first use.

Before washing or storing your heated electric blanket:
a) Unplug the power cord, then unplug the cord with the control panel;
b) Make sure no wires are connected and none of the wires have rubbed through the fabric;
c) Carefully follow all the washing instructions referred to in the following paragraphs. -
Do not immerse the control panel in water.

Do not dry clean a heated blanket, dry cleaning solvents may damage the ductwork.

Do not use bleach or cleaning fluids.
-
Do not use a wringer.
-
Do not iron a heated blanket.
-
Do not use mothballs or sprays of any kind.
-
Do not use the heated blanket until it is completely dry.
-
Do not wash or put the power cord in the water.
-
Machine washing:
a) Soak an electric blanket for 15 minutes in mild liquid and cold water;
b) Machine wash on a mild liquid and cold water on the “gentle” cycle for two minutes;
c) WARNING: Do not use bleach;
d) Rinse in fresh, cold water;
e) Spin in the washing machine;
f) Unfold completely and hang up, allow to dry, do not use clothespins. -
It is permissible to dry in domestic washer-dryers and automatic dryers using a gentle program and low temperature ranges (max. 40°). Then hang until completely dry.
TROUBLESHOOTING
-
The light on the controller is off:
→ make sure that the wire connections are correct and that the power cord is plugged into an outlet. -
The controller is lit, but the product does not heat up:
→ check the product by folding the cloth over
itself and turning on the controller. After about five minutes, carefully check the temperature between coats with your hand. Never leave the product switched on and folded for more than a few minutes. -
The blanket heats up, but not by much. How warm should this product be?
→ this product will provide enough heat to keep you comfortable even in an extremely cold room.
We suggest that you spend a few nights experimenting with your heating settings to find your personal comfort level. -
Can I use a bedspread or duvet cover on my electrical product?
→ you usually won’t need more heat than this product will provide. However, you can use any bedding with this blanket, except for an electric mattress pad, another electric blanket, or a heating pad (overheating may occur). -
My product works fine, but then it seems to shut down:
→ 10 hours auto-off function could be activated. Press the “Power button” again and the blanket will heat up for an additional ten hours or until you turn it off. If less than ten hours have passed, check that all connections are tight and that the wall outlet is not turned off. -
Why is my controller warm?
→ small amount of heat is generated when moving electricity from the power outlet.
WARRANTY TERMS
-
For the purposes of the guarantee:
a) “Manufacturer” refers to HABYS Spółka z ograniczoną odpowiedzialnością (Limited Liability Company) with its registered seat in Jasło, ul. Produkcyjna 16, 38-200 Jasło, entered into the Register of Entrepreneurs kept by the District Court in Rzeszów, XII Commercial Division of the National Court Register, with the assigned KRS number: 0000513317, with the share capital in the amount of PLN 10.750.000 (ten million seven hundred fifty thousand zlotys), the capital has been fully paid up, NIP: 6852208438, REGON: -
b) “Buyer” refers to the final Buyer of the equipment, manufactured by the Manufacturer, including both the consumer and the entrepreneur.
c) “Distributor” refers to an entity that, under an agreement with the Manufacturer, sells the Equipment in a designated area.
d) “Authorized Service Centre” refers only to a service held by the Manufacturer or a service indicated by the Manufacturer and held by its Distributor,
e) “Equipment” refers to a movable item, manufactured by the Manufacturer, being the subject of the sales and to which the said warranty applies. -
The manufacturer ensures good quality and efficient operation of the equipment for which the warranty card has been issued, for the period of 1 year.

The guarantee repair does not include the activities provided for in the manual, which the Buyer is obliged to perform on his own (installation of the Equipment, maintenance of the Equipment, etc.).

Liability under the guarantee covers only defects resulting from causes inherent in the Equipment., In particular, the guarantee does not cover any damage resulting from improper or inconsistent use, storage, maintenance or transport of the Equipment, as well as colour differences between the parts exposed and not exposed to solar radiation, the influence of chemical or abrasive agents, atmospheric pollution or accidental punctures and abrasions, the presence of stains or rings from greasy or dying substances (fats, creams, lotions or oils), permanent staining with dyes such as inks, permanent markers or other non-permanent dyes used in the production of clothing (e.g. dyes used to make blue jeans).

The guarantee does not cover any mechanical damage to the Equipment.

The buyer loses the guarantee rights in the event of:
a) the Manufacturer states that the Equipment was repaired by entity other than the Authorized Service,
b) making any design modifications to the Equipment without the prior written consent of the Manufacturer,
c) using the Equipment contrary to its intended use,
d) using the Equipment after revealing any defect in it. -
Regardless of the loss of the guarantee rights, described above, in point 6, the Manufacturer shall not be liable for any damage to property or caused to third parties, which may be caused by the use of the Equipment covered by the guarantee.

The guarantee does not exclude or limit the rights resulting from the warranty for defects. Exercising the rights under the guarantee does not affect the seller’s liability under the warranty for defects. If the Buyer exercises the rights under the guarantee, the time limit for the exercise of the rights under the warranty for defects is suspended on the date the Manufacturer is notified of the defect. The period runs further from the date of the Manufacturer’s refusal to perform the obligations arising from the guarantee or the ineffective expiry of the time for their performance.

The scope of the guarantee coverage is limited to the territory of the country in which the Equipment was sold.

The Manufacturer shall perform its obligations under the guarantee (removal of defects or damage to the structure of the Equipment arising from reasons inherent in the Equipment, and disclosed during the guarantee period) free of charge within 14 days from the date of delivery of the Equipment to the Manufacturer or the Authorized Service Centre. If the repair of the Equipment cannot be performed within the above-mentioned period, the Manufacturer shall inform the Buyer of the above, and also indicate the reasons for the delay and the expected date of fulfilment of the recognized guarantee request.

The use of the guarantee rights requires the total (cumulative) fulfilment of four conditions:
a) presenting a VAT invoice, receipt or other proof of purchase of the equipment to the Manufacturer, photographic documentation of the defective Equipment, together with a brief description of the reasons for submitting a guarantee claim,
b) reporting the defect within 14 (fourteen) days of its detection,
c) delivering the Equipment in original packaging at the expense of the Manufacturer, to the address indicated above in the guarantee card or to the address of the Authorized Service Centre,
d) designation of the place where the Manufacturer delivers the equipment after repairing it (limited to the country in which the Equipment was purchased). -
The guarantee period is extended for the duration of the repair, starting from the date of delivery of the Equipment to the Manufacturer or to the Authorized Service Centre, to the date on which the Equipment was returned to the Buyer.

The responsibility of the Manufacturer or the Authorized Service Centre is to define the scope and the method of repairing the Equipment.

The guarantee is limited to the repair of the Equipment. The Manufacturer reserves the right to replace the Equipment with a non defective one, if the repair exceeds the price of the Equipment indicated in the proof of purchase. Under the guarantee, the Buyer shall not be entitled to demand that the Equipment be replaced with a new one. The guarantee, in particular, does not cover liability for losses or damages incurred by the Buyer in connection with the fact that one is not able to use the Equipment.

The Manufacturer shall not be liable for any damage to the Equipment caused during the performance of the transport service by the delivery company until it is collected by the Manufacturer from the delivery company.

If the shipment of the Equipment was ordered by the Manufacturer, the Buyer is obliged to check the technical condition of the Equipment upon its receipt. If the Buyer finds that the Equipment has been damaged during the transport, the Buyer is obliged to:
a) immediately, not later than within 3 days from the date of receipt of the shipment, notify the Manufacturer of any damage to the Equipment that occurred during transport, in order to enable the Manufacturer to submit a complaint to the delivery company and pursue related claims,
b) provide the Producer with a complaint report drawn up between the Buyer and the delivery company. -
The guarantee regulations contained in this document are the sole and exclusive guarantee rules for HABYS limited liability products.
