CMS Electracom M3J3 2 Way Junction Box Installation Guide
Installation couplers
- Are to be fully engaged; with no significant gap, and the retaining clip latched as shown –
- Are to be engaged and dis-engaged without load only.
- Are not suitable for readily accessible areas.
- Are not to be considered as a replacement for the plug and socket outlet systems complying with AS/NZS 3112, AS/NZS 3123 and AS/NZS 61535.1
- Are not to be placed under excessive strain; in case of doubt, fix cable and couplers.
- Are to be placed to distribute the load between outlets as evenly as possible ensuring that the sum of all loads does not overload the input coupler and cable.
- Are to be installed, connected, and tested in accordance with AS/NZS 3000 (Australian/New Zealand Wiring Rules & Regulations).
- Dangerous compatibility between different coupler systems is not automatically prevented by the couplers compliance with AS/NZS 61535.1
DO NOT INSERT TEST PROBES LARGER THAN 0.8MM WIDE AS IT WILL DAMAGE THE CONTACTS.
- Connect IN to power supply
- Connect ‘1-WAY SWITCH ’ to a 1-way switch using a switching lead
- Connect ‘2-WAY SWITCH 1’ and ‘2-WAY SWITCH 2’ to 2-way switches using switching leads
- Refer the diagram below for wire connections to the switches
- Connect ‘Load 1’ and ‘Load 2’ to lights or other loads that needs to be controlled by the switches
- 1-WAY SWITCH ’ controls the output to ‘LOAD 1’
- Both ‘2-WAY SWITCH 1’ and ‘2-WAY SWITCH 2’ control the output to ‘LOAD 2’
Switch Connections
- Connect Brown wire to ‘Common’
- Connect Orange wire to screw terminal 1
- Connect Grey wire to screw terminal 2
