Installation Instructions
Spout Installation
- Flush both supply lines before installation. After flushing, shut off both supply lines.
- Remove the tee connector and spout mounting hardware from the quick-connect shank, leaving the brass plate intact.
- Apply a ring of silicone caulking around the designated hole for the spout. Do not use plumber’s putty.
- From the top of the deck, insert the quick-connect shank through the assigned spout hole.
- Secure the quick-connect shank by tightening the lock nut firmly.
- From the top of the deck, slide the spout with the flange and flange washer onto the quick-connect shank. Align the spout and tighten the set screw using the provided Allen key.
- Connect the tee connector to the spout shank.
Handle Trim Installation
Step 1
- Unscrew the pre-assembled handle trim from the valve body. The hot valve assembly (red) should be mounted on the left, and the cold valve assembly (blue) should be mounted on the right.
Step 2
- Remove the top lock nut and fiber gasket from the valve body.
- Apply a ring of silicone caulking around the handle hole on the deck top. Do not use plumber’s putty.
Step 3
- Insert the valve body from below the tub deck.
- Place the top lock nut and fiber gasket back onto the valve body, ensuring that the top surface of the lock nut is flush with the top surface of the valve body.
- Secure the top lock nut in place before inserting the handle.
Step 4
- Align the handles with respect to the spout and tighten the bottom lock nut until secure.
Diverter Installation
- Unscrew the pre-assembled diverter handle trim, one of the lock nuts, and fiber gaskets from the diverter.
- Secure the top lock nut and fiber gasket in place and insert the diverter valve body from the bottom of the tub through the appropriate hole.
- From the tub top, screw the handle trim back onto the diverter, ensuring that the handle is assembled correctly and turns freely in both directions.
- Align the handle lever and tighten the lock nut firmly.
Hand Shower Installation
- Insert the guide tube, flange, and washer from the top of the tub through the appropriate hole.
- From the bottom of the tub, insert the crimped metal washer followed by the brass lock nut. Tighten the lock nut firmly.
FAQ
- Can flex hoses be used to connect the spout, handle valve bodies, and diverter?
- Yes, flex hoses can be used for connection. However, please note that flex hoses are not provided by Santec.
- Can copper pipe soldering be used for connection?
- Yes, copper pipe soldering can also be used for connection. When soldering connections, avoid using excessive heat as it can damage the joints and increase the probability of leakage.

FLUSH BOTH SUPPLY LINES BEFORE INSTALLATION. AFTER FLUSHING, SHUT OFF BOTH SUPPLY LINES.
THE MINIMUM HOLE SIZE FOR THE SPOUT AND HANDLE TRIM IS 1-1/4” AND THE MAXIMUM IS 1-1/2”

Remove the tee connector and spout mounting hardware from
the quick connect shank being sure to leave it on a brass plate. -
Apply a ring of silicone caulking around the hole designated for the spout.
- DO NOT USE PLUMBERS’ PUTTY, WHICH CAN DAMAGE FINISH.

From the top of the deck, slip the quick-connect shank through the assigned spout hole.

Secure the quick connect shank by putting the washer and lock nut back on the shank. Tighten the lock nut roughly.

From the top of the deck, slip the spout with the range and range washer onto the quick-connect shank top. Align the spout and tighten the set screw with the Allen key provided.

Connect the tee connector to the spout shank.
MAXIMUM DECK THICKNESS 1”. DEPENDING ON DECK THICKNESS, IT MAY BE NECESSARY TO COUNTERSINK FROM BELOW.
Step 1
1. Unscrew the pre-assembled handle trim from the valve body. Hot valve e assembly “Red” to be mounted on left. Cold valve assembly “Blue” is to be mounted on the right.
Step 2
1. Remove the top lock nut and the ber gasket from the valve body.
2. Apply a ring of silicone caulking around the handle hole on deck top.
DO NOT USE PLUMBERS’ PUTTY, WHICH CAN DAMAGE FINISH.
Step 3
1. Slip valve body up from below tub deck.
2. Place the top lock nut and the ber gasket back onto the valve body until
the top surface of the lock nut is used with the top surface of the valve
body.
3. Secure the top lock nut in place before inserting the handle.
Step 4
1. Align handles with respect to the spout and tighten the bottom lock nut until secure.
