NOKIA 5G14-B FastMile 5G Receiver

Product Usage Instructions
Option A: Wall Mounting
- Insert SIM if not installed
- Unbox your FastMile 5G Receiver.
- Insert the nanoSIM card if not pre-installed.
- Do NOT power on the FastMile 5G Receiver.
- Open the SIM screw cap on the bottom of Nokia FastMile 5G Receiver.
- Next, place the SIM into the slot making sure it is in the correct direction and push it gently in.
- Once it is fully inserted, the SIM should lock into place. Replace the SIM screw cap.
- Connect cable & attach bracket
- Connect the cable to the RJ45 port on the bottom of the device by using the cable gland included. Tighten the sealing nut by hand to avoid damage.
- Attach the square mounting bracket to the back of the FastMile 5G Receiver with the screws provided.
- Directing cable through wall
- Mark hole positions using the mounting bracket as a template.
- Drill screw holes into the wall, using the correct drill bit. Use the correct screws for the wall material.
- Screw the screws to the wall and attach the mounting bracket. Tighten the screws and ensure it is secure and there is no danger of it coming loose.
- Connect the PoE and Wi-Fi
- Lift the device into place on the hinge screws (M5 hex socket screw).
- Finally, lock the receiver firmly in place with the supplied locking screws on both sides of the bracket.
Option B: Pole Mounting
- Insert SIM if not installed
- Unbox your FastMile 5G Receiver.
- Insert the nanoSIM card if not pre-installed.
- Do NOT power on the FastMile 5G Receiver.
- Open the SIM screw cap on the bottom of Nokia FastMile 5G Receiver.
- Next, place the SIM into the slot making sure it is in the correct direction and push it gently in.
- Once it is fully inserted, the SIM should lock into place. Replace the SIM screw cap.
- Connect cable & attach bracket
- Connect the cable to the RJ45 port on the bottom of the device by using the cable gland included. Tighten the sealing nut by hand to avoid damage.
- Attach the square mounting bracket to the back of the FastMile 5G Receiver with the screws provided.

- Pass two metallic hoops through the rack.
- Wrap the hoops around the pole and tighten them slightly. Do not tighten too tight yet as you may need to rotate the device to get the best performance.
- Lift the device onto the hinge screws and secure it firmly in place with the supplied locking screws on both sides of the bracket.
- Turn the device up or down, right or left and ensure the best performance.
- Tighten all screws and ensure the installation is tight and secure and there is no danger of it coming loose.
- Consider if grounding the 5G Receiver is required. When grounded, please ensure to use a Class I PoE and shielded cable. When installing at the rooftop, a grounded lightning rod is strongly recommended.

Before installation
Recommended tools:

Choose the installation location so that the FastMile 5G Receiver gets the best possible connection to the base station. Plan the route to the cable. Note that PoE must be installed indoors and near a wall socket. Read and follow the safety instructions that come with the device. More information is in the Operator Manual.
It is your responsibility to ensure that the installation is safe and does not cause any safety problems during use. The external dimensions of the FastMile 5G Receiver are 400 x 400 x 174mm (15 ¾” x 15 ¾” x 7″) and it weighs approximately 3kg (6.6lb) with the mounting bracket attached.

- The receiver can be tilted at an angle of ~25° up or down to ensure the best connection.
- Finally, lock the receiver firmly in place with the supplied locking screws on both sides of the bracket.
Option B: Pole mounting
- Pass two metallic hoops through the rack.
- Wrap the hoops around the pole and tighten them slightly. Do not tighten to tight yet as you may need to rotate the device to get the best performance.
- Lift the device onto the hinge screws and secure it firmly in place with the supplied locking screws on both sides of the bracket.
- Turn the device up or down, right or left and ensure the best performance.
- Tighten all screws and ensure the installation is tight and secure and there is no danger of it coming loose.
- Consider if grounding the 5G Receiver is required. When grounded please ensure to use a Class I PoE and shielded cable. When installing at the roof top, a grounded lightning rod is strongly recommended.
**Directing cable through the wall
**
- Route the ethernet cable to the PoE injector. Allow some slack for the cable by pulling it gently from the wall to prevent the seal from being broken and creating a leak.
- It is recommended to use an appropriate wall grommet (not included) or other cable sealing when running cables through the wall.
Connect the PoE and Wi-Fi
- Connect the cable from the FastMile 5G Receiver to the PoE injector port marked as “PoE”.
- Connect the ethernet cable from the Wi-Fi gateway (not included) to the PoE injector port marked as “LAN”.
- Power on the devices and ensure that the LED in the PoE injector is green and the FastMile 5G Receiver LED is green.
Check your 5G performance
Ensure that performance is good. Connect to WebUI to manage the device. Connection details can be found on the product label of the device. Additional information can be found on the available operator manuals and other Nokia product materials.
