ADJUSTING INSTRUCTION
ADJUSTING THE HEADBAND
Make sure to always wear the earmuffs in noisy environments, without interruption. The wearer should ensure that the earmuffs are fitted, adjusted and maintained in accordance with this instruction manual. These earmuffs fall in small size range. Earmuffs complying with EN 352-1 are of ‘medium size range’, ‘small size range’ or ‘large size range’. ‘Medium size range’ earmuffs will fit the majority of users. ‘Small size range’ or ‘large size range’ earmuffs are designed to fit users for whom ‘medium size range’ earmuffs are not suitable. Check earmuffs regularly to ensure they are in proper working condition and store them in their original clean packaging. Earmuffs, in particular cushions, may deteriorate with use and should be examined at frequent intervals for cracking and leakage, for example. The fitting of hygiene covers to the cushions may affect the acoustic performance of the earmuffs.
Please note: children’s size. This earmuff shall only be worn by children of at least five years. At this age the bone structure of the children’s heads will be so solid and strong that the risk of deformations is eliminated. This earmuff is suitable for children with a head height up to 130 mm only. Please make sure the child wears the earmuff correctly and continuously. Please minimize the time a child spends in a noisy area. Excessive usage time can have adverse long term effects, e.g. due to the pressure on the head; a recommendation for a usage time of approximately 90 min without break and approximately 3 hours per day in total. Weight: 176,3 grams. Material: Headband made from BK net fabric + PU, padding made from PVC+PU. The product may be adversely affected by certain chemical substances. Refer to the manufacturer for further information. Not following the user manual instructions can severely harm the earmuff’s service life and their protective capabilities. Alpine Hearing Protection is not liable for any resulting damage. Service life of earmuff is 3 years from manufacturing date. The stated life of the product is only an indication. The life of the product depends on many external and uncontrollable factors and should not be considered a warranty. Further information should be sought from the manufacturer. Hereby, Alpine Hearing Protection, declares that the hearing protector Muffy is in compliance with the PPE regulation (EU) 2016/425 and PPE regulation 2016/425 as brought in UK law and amended.
