The Juno Slimform Downlight is an LED flush mount light that can be used for UL-listed junction boxes already installed in the application.

Installation Steps
- Read the entirety of the Installation Instructions guide before beginning to install the fixture.

LED IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
- To reduce the risk of death, personal injury, or property damage from fire, electric shock, falling parts, cuts/abrasions, and other hazards please read all warnings and instructions included with and on the fixture box and all fixture labels.
- Before installing, servicing, or performing routine maintenance upon this equipment, follow these general precautions.
- Installation and service of luminaires should be performed by a qualified licensed electrician.
- Maintenance of the luminaires should be performed by person (s) familiar with the luminaires’ construction and operation and any hazards involved. Regular fixture maintenance programs are recommended.
- It will occasionally be necessary to clean the outside ofthe refractor/lens/trim. The frequency of cleaning will depend on ambient dirt level and minimum light output which is acceptable to user. Refractor/lens/trim should be washed in a solution of warm water and any mild, non-abrasive household detergent, rinsed with clean water and wiped dry. Should optical assembly become dirty on the inside, wipe the refractor/lens and clean in the above manner, replacing damaged gaskets as necessary.
- DO NOT INSTALL DAMAGED PRODUCT! This luminaire has been properly packed so that no parts should have been damaged during transit. Inspect to confirm. Any part damaged or broken during or after assembly should be replaced.

WARNING RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK
- Disconnect or turn off power before installation or servicing.
- Verify that supply voltage is correct by comparing it with the luminaire label information.
- Make all electrical and grounded connections by the National Electrical Code (NEC) and any applicable local code requirements.
- All wiring connections should be capped with UL approved recognized wire connectors.
CAUTION RISK OF INJURY
- Wear gloves and safety glasses at all times when removing luminaire from carton, installing, servicing or performing maintenance.
- Avoid direct eye exposure to the light source while it is on.
WARNING RISK OF BURN
- Allow lamp/fixture to cool before handling. Do not touch enclosure or light source.
- Do not exceed maximum wattage marked on luminaire label.
- Follow all manufacturer’s warnings, recommendations, and restrictions for: driver type, burning position, mounting locations/methods, replacement and recycling.
CAUTION RISK OF FIRE
- Keep combustible and other materials that can burn, away from lamp/lens.
- Do not operate near persons, combustible materials or substances affected by heat or drying.
CAUTION RISK OF PRODUCT DAMAGE
- Never connect components under load.
- Do not mount or support these fixtures in a manner that can cut the outer jacket or damage wire insulation.
- Never connect an LED product to an unapproved dimmer pack. Contact ABL directly for any dimmers not specifically recommended for the product.
- Unless individual product specifications deem otherwise: Allow for some volume of airspace around fixture. Avoid covering LED fixtures with insulation, foam, or other material that will prevent convection or conduction cooling.
- Unless individual product specifications deem otherwise: Maximum ambient temperature is 90°C. Do not operate fixture at temperatures higher than this.
- Unless individual product specifications deem otherwise: Never mount in places where fixture will be exposed to rain, high humidity, extreme temperature changes or restricted ventilation.
- LED products are Polarity Sensitive. Ensure proper Polarity before installation.
- Electrostatic Discharge (ESD): ESD can damage LED fixtures. Personal grounding equipment must be worn during all installation or servicing of the unit.
- Do not touch individual electrical components as this can cause ESD, shorten lamp life, or alter performance.
- There are no user-serviceable parts inside the unit. Do not rewire, reconfigure, or modify the unit or attempt any repairs yourself. Additionally, field replacement of the LED assembly or lamps is not allowed by UL standards at this time. In the unlikely event your unit may require service, stop using the unit immediately and contact an ABL representative.
- Always read the fixtures complete installation instructions before installation for any additional fixture-specific warnings.
- Verify that power distribution system has proper grounding. Lack of proper earth ground can lead to fixture failure and may void warranty.
CAUTION RISK OF WIRING PRODUCT DAMAGE
- To prevent wiring damage or abrasion, do not expose wiring to edges of sheet metal or other sharp objects.
INSTALLATION STEPS

Read the entirety of the Installation Instructions guide before beginning to install the fixture.

Remove fixture components and parts pack. Check that all parts are included, shown in Figure 1 and Table 1.
WARNING: Before wiring fixture to the power supply, turn off electricity at fuse or circuit breaker box! -
Move switch on backside of fixture to desired Color Temperature setting before fixture installation, shown in Figure 2.

Use the #8 Screws provided to secure the Mounting Bracket flush to the ceiling by fastening it to the Junction Box. If installing a Square Slimform, use the straight edges of the mounting bracket to assist with alignment of the fixture. To align a square fixture parallel to a particular wall, ensure that the straight edge of the bracket runs parallel with the wall, as shown in Figure 3

Attach the eyelet end of the Tether Cable through one of the Installed Mounting Screws fastened to the Junction Box. This can be done by following one of the two methods shown below:
- A) Thread the tether eyelet through the screw and secure eyelet with the supplied nut by tightening the nut on top of the eyelet AFTER the mounting plate has been fastened to the junction box. This is the recommended method of installation by Acuity Brands for easier installation of the fixture. This process is shown in Figure 4.
B) Thread the tether eyelet through the screw BEFORE fastening the mounting plate to the junction box. Ensure that the tether eyelet is placed in between the mounting plate and junction box, as shown in Figure 5.
- A) Thread the tether eyelet through the screw and secure eyelet with the supplied nut by tightening the nut on top of the eyelet AFTER the mounting plate has been fastened to the junction box. This is the recommended method of installation by Acuity Brands for easier installation of the fixture. This process is shown in Figure 4.

With the power turned off, hold the Fixture Assembly firmly and connect the green ground wire from the fixture to the bare copper ground wire from the junction box using a wire nut. (If house wiring does not include a ground wire, consult your local electrical code for approved grounding methods).
FOR PROPER CONNECTION, PLACE WIRENUT OVER WIRES, TWIST CLOCKWISE UNTIL TIGHT. -
Use Wirenuts to connect black fixture wire to the black power supply wire and white fixture wire to the white power supply wire, as shown in Figure 6.

For Fixture with 0-10V dimming (120 – 277V driver only), use wire nuts to connect violet dimmer wire from fixture (+) to V

Hold Fixture Assembly in one hand and with the other hand position wires up and into outlet box.

Align spring clip on Fixture Assembly with indented section of the Mounting Bracket, as shown in Figure 7.

Secure the Fixture Assembly to the Mounting Bracket by pushing up on one side of the Fixture and then to the other side, shown in Figure 8.

Turn on electricity at fuse or circuit breaker box and verify that fixture functions properly.
TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE
If this fixture fails to operate properly, use the guide below to diagnose and correct the problem.
- Verify that fixture is wired properly.
- Verify that fixture is grounded correctly.
- The line voltage at the fixture is correct.

This LED light provides low maintenance service with no bulbs to change.
Suggested Dimmers
For suggested dimmers, see the notes below.
- 120-volt driver is dimmable with the use of most incandescent, magnetic low voltage and electronic low voltage wall box dimmers.
- Universal voltage driver is dimmable with the use of most 0-10V wall box dimmers. See electrical schematic of the dimmer or consult local electrician to connect fixture as wire connections may be different.

Fixture Notes
120V FIXTURE MUST BE CONNECTED TO A NOMINAL 120 VOLT, 60 HZ POWER SOURCE AND
120 – 277V FIXTURE TO A NOMINAL 120 – 277 VOLT, 60HZ POWER SOURCE. Any other
connection voids warranty. This fixture is intended to be connected to a
properly installed and grounded UL listed junction box (not provided) and
should be installed according to the NEC and local building codes.
Products with emergency option are suitable for installation in damp locations only. Products are suitable for installation in wet locations (indoor covered ceilings only); fill any visible gaps between fixture and mounting surface with a waterproof sealant such as silicone caulk.
FCC
This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, under part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates, uses, and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used by the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation.
If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures:
- Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.
- Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver.
- Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected.
- Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help.
All luminaires that contain electronic devices that generate frequencies above 9kHz from any component within the luminaire comply with one of the following Part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the following two conditions:
- This device may not cause harmful interference
- This device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation.
