instructions for use carefully. Follow the warnings and safety notes. Keep
these instructions for use for future reference. Make the instructions for use
accessible to other users. If you pass the device on to somebody else, give
them the instructions for use too.
WARNING
- The device is only intended for domestic/private use, not for commercial use.
- This device may be used by children over the age of 8 years and by people with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or a lack of experience or knowledge, provided that they aresupervised or have been instructed on how to use the device safely, and are fully aware of the risks of using the device.
- Children must not play with the device.
- Cleaning and user maintenance must not be performed by children unless supervised.
- Under no circumstances should you open or repair the device yourself. If you do so, it may no longer function correctly. Failure to comply will invalidate the guarantee.
- The hand-held part must be disconnected from the connection cable before it is cleaned in water.
- When using the device in the bathroom, remove the plug after charging, as water in the vicinity constitutes a danger, even when the device is switched off.
- Never use the device with the mains adaptor near a bath, wash basin, shower or other object containing water or other liquids – risk of electric shock!
- If the mains connection cable of this device is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its customer service department or a similarly qualified person to avoid any risk.
- As an additional safety measure, we recommend installing a residual-current-operated protective device (RCD) with a rated operational current not exceeding 30 mA in the bathroom circuit. Your local electrical specialist can provide you with the relevant information.
- The device and the connection socket of the device must be dried immediately after cleaning with water.

Check that the exterior of the cardboard delivery packaging is intact and make
sure that all contents are included in the delivery.
Before use, ensure that there is no visible damage to the device or
accessories and that all packaging material has been removed. If you have any
doubts, do not use the device and contact your retailer or the specified
Customer Service address.

INTENDED USE
The device is only intended for cutting and trimming people’s facial hair. Do
not use the device on animals or objects!
The device may only be used for the purpose for which it is designed and in
the manner specified in the instructions for use. Any form of improper use can
be dangerous. The manufacturer is not liable for damage resulting from
improper or incorrect use.
WARNINGS AND SAFETY NOTES
WARNING
To avoid damage to health, we strongly ad- vise against using the device in
the following situations:
- Danger of suffocation by packaging material! Keep packaging material away from children.
- Inspect the device and accessories for visible damage before use. If you have any doubts, do not use the device and contact your retailer or the specified Customer Service address.
- Keep the mains adaptor away from water.
- Risk of electric shock! Never submerge the device in water or other liquid!
- Risk of electric shock! If the device should fall into water despite following all safety precautions, immediately remove the mains plug from the socket! Do not put your hands into the water! Danger to life due to electric shock! Have the device checked by an authorised specialist workshop before using it again!
- If the device has been dropped or has suffered any other damage, it must no longer be used. Risk of electric shock and injury!
- Risk of electric shock! If there is visible damage to the device, accessories or mains adaptor, do not use the device if you have any doubts and contact your retailer or the specified Customer Services address.
- Risk of injury! Do not use the device if the stainless steel blade is damaged as it may have sharp edges.
- Do not use extension cables in the bathroom to ensure the mains adaptor can be accessed quickly in an emergency.
- Only use the original comb attachments.
WARNING
To avoid damage to health, please note the following:
- Do not use the device if you have sunburn, open wounds, eczema or cuts on your face.
- Switch off the device before attaching or switching the comb attachments.
- Risk of fire! Keep the device away from any highly flammable liquids.
- Remove all packaging material before using the device.
- Ensure that the mains cable cannot be tripped over.
- Only connect the device to a socket that has the correct voltage as indicated on the type plate.
- Only operate the device according to the specifications on the type plate.
- Only pull on the mains adaptor to remove the mains cable from the power outlet.
- Never leave the device unattended while in use.
- Switch off the device after every use.
- Pull the mains adaptor out of the socket after each completed charging process.
Notes on handling cutting oil
- Cutting oil may be harmful or fatal if swallowed. If swallowed, do not induce vomiting – seek medical attention immediately.
- If cutting oil comes into contact with the eyes or mouth, rinse the affected area with plenty of water. If irritation persists, seek medical attention immediately.
NOTICE
- Protect the device and its accessories from knocks, humidity, dirt, marked temperature fluctuations and direct sunlight.
- Only operate, charge or store the device at temperatures from -10°C to 40°C.
Notes on handling batteries
WARNING
- Do not disassemble, open up or crush the batteries. Never subject the battery to mechanical knocks.
- If fluid from a battery cell comes into contact with your skin or eyes, wash the affected areas with water and seek medical assistance.
- Risk of explosion! Never throw batteries into a fire.
- Protect batteries from excessive warmth, heat and sunlight.
- Exposure of batteries to an environment with extremely high temperatures or a low air pressure may result in explosion or leakage of flammable liquids and gases.
CAUTION
- Charge battery before use. Always use the correct charger. Avoid continuous charging.
NOTICE
- After prolonged storage, it may be neces- sary to charge and discharge the battery several times to achieve maximum performance.

INITIAL USE
You can operate the device with the battery as well as a mains adaptor (not
included in delivery). To charge the device, only use a protection class 2
mains adaptor ( ), which is approved for use with
household appliances and whose output corresponds to the safety extra-low
voltages of 5 V and max. 1 A.
6.1 Battery operation/charging the battery
You must fully charge the battery for 90 minutes before the first use. The
operating period of the device is approx. 90 minutes when it is fully charged.
If the battery charge level is less than 20%, the LED display will show 5 “Lo”
for “Low” and flash.
- Connect the USB charging cable 8 to the connection socket 6 and a mains adaptor (not included in delivery).
- Insert the mains adaptor into a suitable socket. The LED display 5 shows the current battery status in % and the charge display flashes.
- As soon as the LED display 5 shows “100%” and the charging symbol is permanently illuminated, the battery is fully charged. The device is now ready for use.
6.2 Mains operation
DANGER
Risk of electric shock! Never use the device in the shower or in a damp
environment when it is being operated via the mains!
- Connect the USB charging cable 8 to the connection socket 6 and a mains adaptor (not included in delivery).
- Insert the mains adaptor into a suitable socket. The device is now ready for use and the battery is charging.
USAGE

Place the stainless steel blade 1 onto the device from above until it clicks into place.
To remove it again, press the stainless steel blade 1 upwards with your thumb. -
If necessary, select one of the two comb attachments 2 and place it on the stainless steel blade 1 . Make sure that you hear and feel the comb attachment click into place. We recommend that you start with the comb attachment with the longest cutting length initially so you can then slowly work your way up to your desired length.length.

To adjust the cuttinglength, slide the combattachment 2 upwards or downwards.

To switch on the device, slide the ON/OFF control 4 upwards. The LED display will light up.

To switch off the device after use, slide the ON/OFF control 4 downwards. The LED display 5 will turn off.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
8.1 Cleaning the device
WARNING
- Risk of electric shock! Always disconnect the device from the power source before cleaning it.
- Risk of fire! Do not clean the device with highly flammable liquids!

- The device is washable and can be cleaned under running water.
- For thorough cleaning, remove the attachments from the device by pulling them upwards.
- Leave the attachments to dry completely before reattaching them to the device.
8.2 Oiling the stainless steel blade
To achieve consistently optimal cutting results, spread a little cutting oil
on the stainless steel blade 1 on a regular basis.

DISPOSAL
For environmental reasons, do not dispose of the device in household waste at
the end of its service life. Dispose of the device at a suitable local
collection or recycling point in your country. Observe the local regulations
for material disposal. Dispose of the device in accordance with EC Directive
Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE). If you have any questions,
please contact the local authorities responsible for waste disposal. You can
obtain the location of collection points for old devices from the local or
municipal authorities, local waste disposal companies or your retailer, for
example.
Used, completely flat batteries must be dis- posed of via specially designated
collection boxes, recycling points or electronics retailers. You are legally
required to dispose of the batteries.
The codes below are printed on batteries containing harmful substances:
Pb = battery contains lead,
Cd = battery contains cadmium,
Hg = battery contains mercury.
