Multiple Presenters
The ListenTALK Solution
ListenTALK is the ideal solution for portable one or two-way group
communication, including assistive listening, tours, training, and
interpretation because it provides crystal clear audio – even in challenging
environments. This application guide outlines how
to create groups with multiple presenters and an audience microphone.
Before proceeding, you should be familiar with the basic operations.

Pairing On the Go!
Additional sub-leaders and participants can be added or reprogrammed for
different groups at any time throughout the presentation with Near Field
Communication (NFC) Pairing*.
To create a sub-leader, attach a red leader clip to an LK-1 transceiver before
following the instructions below.
- Enter pairing mode by pushing the soft button (on the leader unit) until it flashes.
- Tap the back of leader unit to the back of the sub-leader or participants unit.
- Beep! (successfully paired).
*NFC Pairing is available on LK-1 and LKR-11 only. LKR-12 must be paired in a docking station or the ListenTALK Software Suite.
ListenTALK Unit Types
ListenTALK enables fluid conversations with three simultaneous talk paths,
helping prevent excessive overlapping speech and ensuring clarity.
When multiple sub-leaders are present, the default setting will release the
talk path when another sub-leader requests to talk. You can enable the Sub-
leader Do Not Drop setting with the ListenTALK Software
Suite.
Two-way Communication
ListenTALK allows for clear and concise two-way communication between all presenters and participants with the LK-1 transceiver. Simply add leader clips to presenters, pair, and discuss!
Note: Talkback modes enable the leader to effortlessly switch engagement
to listen only, respond to the leader only, or discuss freely with the entire
group.

One-way Communication
Sometimes you just need simple one-way communication, but have multiple presenters – ListenTALK can help. Use LK-1 transceivers with leader clips for presenters and LKR-11 or LKR-12 receivers for listeners, pair all units, and enjoy the uninterrupted flow of information.
One-way Communication with Audience Microphone
Want the affordability of a one-way system that still allows your audience to ask questions? The LK-1 transceiver is equipped with a built in microphone and can be paired as a sub-leader to be used as an audience microphone! Note: You can use an external microphone with the LK-1 by simply inserting a 3.5mm TRRS microphone into the headphone jack!
Here are some quick tips to troubleshoot common issues.

We’re always happy to help!
The participants can’t hear/audio quality is poor.
Is the volume turned up? Units default to low-volume, so adjusting the volume
up may help. Audible beeps can be heard as the volume increases even if there
is no audio from the leader.
Are the headphones/earbuds pushed in completely? The 3.5 mm standard jack must
connect completely with the headphones or earbuds being used. To check, unplug
and then plug them in again ensuring they’re in the port all the way.
Is the participant part of the group? Check the display with leader or sub-
leader group name/number and re-pair if necessary.
Are the headphones/earbuds functional? Try using a different set – especially
if no beeps are heard when adjusting the volume.
If audio cuts out abruptly, check for physical interference (walls, meta
structures, etc.) and have the participants move closer to the leader.
If all else fails blame your intern! Or try rebooting the unit by turning it
off and then on again with the power button on the top of the unit.
