Product Information
The LT-84 ListenIR Transmitter/Radiator Combo and LA-141 ListenIR Expansion Radiator are components of a wireless audio transmission system. The LT-84 is a transmitter/radiator combo unit that includes a mic input, frequency selector, level control knob, expansion link selector, output RJ-45, power input, RCA input, level indicators, and power switch indicator lights. The LA-141 is an expansion radiator unit that features a safety/security cable slot, expansion link indicator lights, on/off switch, channel 1 and 2 delay compensation switches, and green LED power indicators.

Product Usage Instructions
Determine Unit Placement
Determine the optimum location where the LT-84 and LA-141 units will cover the intended area. Mount the units above and point them towards the listening audience. Ensure that there is a clear line-of-sight path between the units and the receiver for best performance. Do not conceal the units behind walls, curtains, or treated glass.
Mounting Options
The units can be mounted on the ceiling, wall, or desk using the included mounting hardware. The threaded connectors on the top and bottom of the units can also be used to connect two units together or attach them to camera tripods.
LT-84 Setup
- Plug the power supply into the LT-84 unit.
- Connect the desired audio input signal to one of the three input connector types on channel 1, 2, or both.
- Turn the power switch to the indicator lights on position.
- Adjust the audio level input knob until the audio level LEDs are solid green with an occasional red flicker during audio peaks.
- Select the desired transmission frequency and turn on the channel transmission switch.
Note: The LT-84 and receivers need to be on the same frequency/channel for proper operation. Once the unit is adjusted, the power switch can be turned to the indicator lights off position, if desired.
LA-141 Setup
- Turn the LT-84 power switch to the off position.
- Connect the LA-141s to the LT-84 using a CAT-5e 24 AWG cable with the provided snap-on Ferrite Core.
- Turn the LT-84 and LA-141 power switches to the indicator lights on position.
Up to 2 LA-141 units can be daisy-chained to each Expansion Link Output RJ-45 connector with a maximum cable length of 100 ft. (30 m). The green and amber LEDs on the RJ45 connector of both the LT-84 and LA-141 should be illuminated during normal operation.
Set Delay Compensation
For a single channel application, set both channel 1 and 2 delay compensation switches to the same setting. For a two-channel application, set delay compensation switches for channel 1 and 2 independently. Refer to the provided table to select the appropriate delay compensation switch setting based on the overall cable distance between the LT-84 and LA-141.

Determine Unit Placement

Units cannot be concealed behind walls, curtains, or treated glass, as Infrared (IR) light needs a clear line-of-sight path to the receiver for best performance.
Mounting Options
The units can be mounted on the ceiling, wall, or desk with the mounting hardware (included). The threaded connectors on the top and bottom of the units are a standard size which fits most camera tripods. These threaded connectors can also be used to connect two units together.
Setup

- Turn the LT-84 and LA-141 power switches to the “indicator lights on” position.‡ †Up to 2 LA-141s can be daisy chained to each Expansion Link Output RJ-45 connector with a daisy chain maximum cable length of 100 ft. (30 m).
‡Under normal operation the green and amber LEDs on the RJ45 connector of both the LT-84 and LA-141 will be illuminated.
Set Delay Compensation
For a single channel application, set both channel 1 and 2 delay compensation switches to the same setting. For a two-channel application, set delay compensation switches for channel 1 and 2 independently. Pick appropriate frequency row, then select the column that describes the overall cable distance from the LT-84 to the LA-141 being set. This is the appropriate delay compensation switch setting.
