Damping value tables
Explanation of damping value tables: research shows that the noise reduction for users is often lower than the attenuation value(s) indicated on the packaging. Possible causes are differences in fit, the correct fitting and the motivation of the user. Refer to the applicable regulations for guidance on adjusting label values and estimating attenuation. In addition, PerfectPro strongly recommends testing the fit of the hearing protectors.

Particular attention shall be paid to safety instructions when indicated

  • Failure to follow all instructions for using this personal protective equipment may negatively affect the wearer’s health, lead to injury and/or permanent hearing loss.

  • Misuse or failure to wear hearing protectors when exposed to noise can result in hearing damage or injury.

  • The right choice and training and the right use and maintenance are essential for the product to protect the wearer from the risks of noise.

  • This product can be affected by certain chemicals.

  • Please contact PerfectPro for more information (contact details are on the last page).

  • Leave the area immediately if the hearing protection is damaged.

  • Applying hygiene covers over the ear cushions can affect the acoustic performance of the earmuffs.

  • Do not disassemble, modify or repair this product yourself. The unit does not contain any parts that can be repaired by the user himself.

  • The earmuffs, and especially ear cushions, can wear out during use and should be regularly examined for cracks and leakage. Replace if necessary.

  • The acoustic seal can be adversely affected by wearing other tools, such as glasses, dust masks, and so on. This can reduce damping. If you have any doubts, please contact our technical service (the contact details are on the last page).

  • For the best protection, the ear cushions should be firmly attached to your
head. Anything that interferes with the connection, such as long hair (pulling back as far as possible), thick or ill-fitting temples, pencils or caps will reduce protection.

  • While wearing, hearing protectors suppress ambient noise, which can affect warning signs and vital communication. Always make sure you choose the right product for the work environment so that vital communication and alarm signals remain audible.

  • This ear cap is equipped with an electric audio input. The wearer must check the correct operation before use. If there is deformation or failure, the wearer must follow the manufacturer’s advice.

    • Warning : The electrical audio circuit output of these hearing protectors may exceed the daily sound level limit.
  • This hearing protector provides a different audio entertainment facility than receivers of broadcast signals, for the range of the input signal levels the limitation is maintained <300 mV.

The audibility of the warning signals at a specific workplace may be disturbed during the operation of the entertainment facility.

To limit risks associated with hazardous voltage and fire:

  • Use this product or never charge/replace the batteries in an explosive environment.
  • Temperature range for charging: 0°C to + 45°C.
  • Only charge with a certified third-party device

Audio input level
The noise level in the hearing protector depends on the audio input level. To prevent harmful noise levels, the noise level of the hearing protector is limited to 82 dB (A) when connected to a Personal Music Player (PMP). If the hearing protector is connected to a PMP or other device with a very high output level, it is the user’s responsibility to set the audio input level to a safe level. The maximum allowed audio input level for 8 hours of use, compressed speech, and music is 2.12V.

Instructions for setting up
Check the product before putting it on to make sure it is not damaged. If this is the case, throw away the product immediately and provide a new pair. Brush excess hair aside and remove any jewelry from the ear that may affect an acoustic seal before putting on the hearing protector.

  1. Put the headband in the maximum position “open” and place the shells over the ears while the headband runs over the head.
  2. Adjust the headband to the head while adjusting the height of the earcups until it feels comfortable and the headband rests on top of the head to support the hoods. The ear cushions should be well placed against the head.
  3. Adjust the headband and the position of the earcups if necessary to ensure effective sound sealing.

Fit check
When the earmuffs are worn correctly, your own voice should sound hollow and the sound around you should not be as loud as it was before wearing the earmuffs. For optimal noise reduction, the cushion should lie securely against the head, without interference from the seal by objects, such as straps of dust masks or temples. The shells should completely enclose the ears. If you are unable to adjust these earmuffs correctly and comfortably, please contact PerfectPro for more information (contact details are on the last page).

Cleaning and maintenance

  1. At the end of each shift, the pillows of the earmuffs should be cleaned with warm soapy water. Do not use organic solvents or alcohol. Do not immerse in water. Do not use harsh or abrasive chemicals.
  2. If the earmuffs cannot be cleaned or are damaged, discard the product and provide a new pair.
  3. The earmuffs, and especially the ear cushions, can wear out during use and should be examined regularly for cracks and wear.
  4. The earmuffs should be checked regularly for usability. Put the earmuffs on before exposing yourself to noise and wear them throughout the period of exposure. Be warned that failure to follow these recommendations will seriously affect the protective capacity of the earmuffs.

Dispose of the product in accordance with local regulations.

  • Do not store the product at temperatures above +55°C and below -20°C. Storage and transport at extremely high temperatures will lead to a change in the quality of the product over time.
