Operating Instructions

NOTE:

  • Before using the heat press machine, ensure that the fabric and other base materials are completely dry.
  • Be sure to return the heat press machine to its Safety Base when not in use.
  • For flat base materials, use a firm, flat, heat-resistant surface around the waist.
  • For shapely objects that are hollow, like shoes and hats, use a form or folded towel inside to create a firm pressing surface.
  • Be sure to avoid flimsy ironing boards.
  • Use extreme caution. Do not burn yourself!
  1. Power On The Mini Heat Press Machine
    • Plug the machine into an outlet. Press the power button once to power it ON and set the temperature to Level 1.
  2. Set Temperature
    • Set the target temperature. Press the power button again to cycle through the four heat settings.
    • The LED lights will turn red and keep smooth fade in and out cycles when the machine is heating up or cooling down.
    • Heating/Cooling
    • Allow the machine about 2 minutes to heat up to the desired temperature. Then, the LED lights will turn green and remain steady, indicating that the device has reached its desired temperature; at the same time, a beeping sound will play.
    • Reached the Desired Temperature
    • Long press the Power button to turn the machine off when it is not being used.
    • The machine will automatically shut off after 15 minutes if not used (not moving). Once you pick up the device, it will heat up again to the set temperature setting. Wait for the machine to reheat completely before resuming operation.
  3. Set A Separate Countdown Timer
    • NOTE:
    • Read the care recommendations on the fabrics manufacturer’s label and any instructions for heat transfer materials to help select the correct time and temperature setting. If the exact instructions are unavailable, please refer to Time and Temperature Suggestions on.
  4. Preheat Base Materials
    • Find a firm, flat surface, and place your base material onto a heat-resistant mat — preheat the application area to remove wrinkles and moisture.
  5. Position The Pattern
    • Make sure the shiny side (clear liner) is facing up.
    • When using sublimation paper or infusible ink transfer sheets, secure the prepared design to the desired area with heat-resistant tape to prevent shifting during transfer.
    • NOTE:
    • To ensure ideal heat transfer results, application pattern sizes with the Mini Heat Press Machine should not exceed 2X the size of the heating plate.
  6. Apply Heat
    • Start the timer and move the unit continuously across the pattern until the timer reaches zero (0).
    • Cover all areas of the pattern including the center and edges and allow the heating plate to extend approximately 0.5″ (13 mm) beyond all edges of the pattern.
    • NOTE:
    • It is recommended placing a PTFE telflon sheet under the heating plate to protect your fabric from being damaged when preheating and transferring, especially when the temperature is at Level 3 or higher.
  7. Enjoy The Wonderful Results!
  • For Iron-On Transfers:
  • Remove the PTFE telflon sheet. Peel the liner off slowly. Refer to the instructions of the applied heat transfer materials to determine the peel temperature — warm or cool.
  • For Sublimation Paper/Infusible Ink Transfer Sheets:
  • Let the project cool. Once cool, remove the PTFE telflon sheet, heat-resistant tape, and transfer paper.
  • NOTE:
  • If it is not smooth enough to peel the liner off, please heat press it for a few more seconds.
  • If the patterns are not completely attached to the material, repeat the heat pressing process again.

Tips: After an iron-on application, wait at least 24 hours before washing. Always wash inside-out. Do not bleach. Wash only in cool water, then tumble dry on low or lay flat to dry. For foil iron-ons, hand-wash in cold water only.
