Aqua-Scope BVSDRY01 Dry Contact Controlled Ball Valve

This retrofittable product transforms a standard ball valve for shutting off water or gas into a remotely controlled smart device. Using a converter, the radio-controlled device can be controlled directly by alarm systems or smart home systems via a switch contact. The converter is installed directly in the alarm control panel or near other control electronics and communicates with the motor via an encrypted radio link. The motor is completely waterproof (IP66) and can therefore be used in climatically difficult environments or outdoors.

The product consists of an Aqua-Scope ball valve actuator BVSLWE01 in combination with a generic LORA device GENLWE01, which is already connected upon delivery and thus requires no further setup effort. The converter can be powered either by a 3.0-3.6 V battery or a 5 – 12 V power supply, which is usually already available in smart home or alarm systems. For testing, the converter can also be supplied with USB-C. The connection is made via screw terminals.

The retrofittable motor is mounted on the ball valve via variable clamps. Pipe diameters between 0.5 and 1.5 inches are supported. Thanks to the patented motor coupling to the actual shut-off valve, high torques of up to 8 Nm can also be transmitted and thus even very stiff shut-off valves can be retrofitted. A button can also be used to switch the motor directly on site and a red/green LED indicates the status of the valve. For more information about the BVSLWE01 valve drive or the GENLWE01 generic LoRa device for control via switching contacts, please refer to the respective product manuals.
