- The Thetis Pro FIDO2 Security Key is compatible with iPhones running iOS 13.3 and later with Safari, and it can be used via NFC (Near Field Communication).
- It’s important to note that all iPads and iPhones prior to the iPhone XS don’t have NFC capabilities. Therefore, you must have an iPhone XS or a later model to use the Thetis Pro FIDO2 Security Key.
- To protect your Apple ID, Apple now requires iPhone users to have iOS 16.4 or later.
Please ensure your iPhone is updated to at least iOS 16.4 to comply with Apple’s requirements for Apple ID security.
To utilize NFC on an iPhone, please follow these instructions:
- For iPhone users, the NFC feature is located on the top backside of the iPhone, near the camera.
- Ensure that both USB connectors of the Thetis Pro FIDO2 Security Key are unfolded to form a T shape. This arrangement ensures that the metal shield does not interfere with the NFC signal when using the key with your iPhone.
For Coinbase
It supports FIDO2 Keys for authentication. However, they have an additional
requirement where the browser needs to read the key’s information, which is
not necessary according to the FIDO2 standard. To address this requirement, we
have developed a solution that enables FIDO2 Keys to work with Coinbase. We
have documented the process and published it on our website and YouTube
channel. You can refer to these resources to learn how to make your FIDO2 Key
work with Coinbase.
Our key has no storage. No matter PC or Mac recognizes the key as an HID device.
