HOW TO PREPARE AND USE THE ELECTRIC ASH VACUUM CLEANER
-
Position the appliance on a flat surface.
-
Remove the accessories from the drum and insert the 4 wheels in the plastic base.
-
Make sure that the HEPA filter and the pre-filter have been inserted in their housings (as indicated in Fig. 1)
-
Connect the plastic pipe to its fitting. (fig. 2)
-
Before starting to clean the stove, make sure that all the ash has stopped burning and is sufficiently cool. Never suck burning embers.
-
Plug the electric lead into a socket, making sure the voltage is suitable for the characteristics of the appliance, check the rating label on the appliance.
-
Turn the appliance on using the luminous ON/OFF switch located on the cover of the motor.
-
Vacuum the ash directly from the fireplace or from the stove using the plastic pipe.
-
Whenever suction power appears to be decreasing, the Cento PRO ash cleaner is designed to permit the cleaning of its filter during use:
-
As shown in Figure A, the filter can be cleaned during use or by closing the plastic suction mouth. It is recommended to remove any accessories (flat nozzle, brush) and directly plug the telescopic extender.
-
During suction or with the plastic suction mouth closed, press the cleaning button shown in Figure B repeatedly.
-
At this point, the residual ash has been removed from the filter and the normal suction process can be continued (Fig. C).
-
After use, switch off the appliance and unplug it from its power socket.
-
After stove or fireplace cleaning operations have been finished, clean the machine and the suction filter.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
-
Before proceeding to any cleaning or maintenance operation, always unplug the appliance from the power socket.
-
Clean the outside of the machine using a dry cloth.
-
In order to ensure constantly satisfactory operation, the container and the filter must be cleaned with a certain regularity. Dissatisfactory operation may be caused by the presence of residue or dirt inside the filter or the hose. In this case, we recommend switching off the appliance, unplugging it from its power socket and then proceeding to the cleaning of its parts.
-
Never empty the drum into an easily flammable container, and always make sure that the ash has cooled completely before doing so.
-
In order to give the filter a thorough cleaning, start by raising the cover (Fig. D). Incline the motor housing (Fig. E) , and lightly tap the pre-filter in order to make all ash residue fall inside the drum (Fig. F). Then remove the pre-filter and the filter from their housings while always keeping the motor housing slightly inclined, rotating it slightly.
-
Wash the outside of the filter and the pre-filter with a delicate flow of running water at room temperature in order to avoid damage (Fig. G). Use a soft brush to remove the residue that does not fall by itself. Never use hot water in order to avoid deforming the filter.
-
Do not use detergents. Leave the filter to dry naturally before replacing it in its housing. Do not place it close to hot sources of heat. Do not place it in direct sunlight.
-
It is advisable, in any case, to clean a max. of 2/3 Kg of ash during each cleaning operation. Operate the filter reset lever, before each cleaning cycle.
-
When the stove or fireplace has been cleaned, the appliance and suction filter must then be cleaned. The cleaning operations should be done outdoors.
-
Once the filter has been cleaned, check whether it is suitable for further use. If it has been damaged or broken, replace it with an original Ribimex filter (Ref. HEPA Filter : PRCEN003/HEPA – Ref. Prefiltre : PRCEN000/CF)
-
To take out the filter, remove it forcefully.
-
To insert the new filter, press on it as far as it will go.
