Sound Devices
About this Guide
This guide consists of two sections:
- Overview – A brief description of what Sound Devices are in an Epson TrueOrder Kitchen Display System (KDS).
- How-to Configure Sound Devices – A procedure that can be followed to configure this in a Single-Station KDS Setup.
Overview
USB to 3.5mm audio adapters or USB speakers can be plugged directly into a
TrueOrder KDS device to allow for sound notifications when new orders arrive.
Several different sounds are pre-installed and can be configured from the
configuration application.
Note : An all-in-one device will typically have speakers built in that
could also be used.

How to Configure Sound Devices
This guide assumes that you already have a Single-Station KDS system setup as described in the Epson KDS Single-Station Quick Start Guide.
- Click Layout header.
- Click Grids.
- Click drop down menu icon to edit Kitchen grid.
- Scroll down to the ACTIONS configuration.
- Choose New Order Sound from the list.
- Choose Sound Volume.
- Click Save.
- Click Publish.
