GLOBAL ID VERIFICATION
Introduction
Introduction
The 365id Scanner Notifier shows a pop-up notification in the Windows
notification tray. It shows an extended result of the last ID document scan.
The extended result includes a textual description of the result and when
available a link to more information about the scan result.
Application & Requirements
Application
The 365id Tray Notifier is based on two applications that must be installed
on the local computer.
- The 365id Integrations – USB Support software that handles the USB connection from the 365id Scanner. It receives the scanned ID document information and scan result from the 365id Scanner via the USB cable and makes it available to other applications on the local computer
- The 365id Tray Notifier software gives a notification in the notificationf field of the local computer that displays the result of the last ID document scan
Requirements
To use the 365id Tray Notifier a number of requirements must be fulfilled.
- 365id Scanner
- USB cable, male USB A to male USB B
- Windows 8 or higher with the latest service pack installed,
- A service subscription for 365id Tray Notifier. See 4.1 365id Tray Notifier subscription for more information.
Installation
Installation
The installation process consists of several steps:
- 365id Tray Notifier subscription
- Connect USB Cable
- Install 365id Integration – USB Support software
- Install 365id Tray Notifier
365id Tray Notifier subscription
You must have an activated 365id Tray Notifier subscription to be able to use
the service.

Connect USB Cable
Connect an USB cable, male USB A to male USB B, between the 365id Scanner and
your local computer. The USB cable is a standard cable that can be ordered
from 365id AB or bought in your local computer store.
Installation – USB Support software
Install 365id Integration – USB Support software – 1
The 365id Integration – USB Support software will make the information from
your 365id Scanner available to applications on your computer including the
365id Tray Notifier. To install the software, download the installation
program by clicking here then proceed with the steps below Run the
installation program (by double-clicking on the downloaded file). You may be
presented with a “Windows protected your PC” or a similar dialog.
If so, click “More info” then click “Run anyway”

You may now see a dialog for installing “Microsoft .Net Framework 4.7.2”.
Click “Accept” to continue and In the dialog box that follow, click
“Next”

We recommend that you keep the settings as they are, but you are free to
change them to your requirements.
When you are done, click “Next” and then “Next” again in the dialogue box that
follows. 
You may be asked to confirm
that the program is allowed to make changes to your hard drive. Once
completed, the dialog can be closed by clicking “Close”

The 365id Tray Notifier is an application that runs on your local computer.
It gives a notification in the notification field of the local computer that
displays the result of the last scanned document.
Normally when there is no new result to be displayed the 365id Tray Notifier
applications shows as an icon in the notification tray.
To install the software, download the installation program by
clicking here then proceed with the steps below
Run the installation program (by double-clicking on the downloaded file). You
may be presented with a “Windows protected your PC” or a similar dialog.
If so, click “More info” then click “Run anyway”

We recommend that you keep the settings as they are, but you are free to

When you are done, click “Next” and then “Next” again in the dialogue box that
follows.

Confirm the installation. In any pop-up that asks for permission please allow
the installation.
Click “Next” and then “Close” 
The installation is now complete.
Scan a document in the 365id Scanner to test the 365id Tray Notifier
The notifier will automatically close after a period of time. To redisplay the
information from the latest scan please press the icon in the notification
tray.
