FAQ

Gabb Watch 3 Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What is the difference between the Gabb Watch 2 and the Gabb Watch 3

A: The Gabb Watch 3 brings hardware improvements such as wireless charging, water resistance IP68, Gorilla Glass screen, more storage, more memory, new chipset, and a silicone watch band.

From the software side, Gabb Watch 3 includes the ability to add up to 100 contacts, Keyboard, Speech-to-Text, Gabb Move, Mimic by Gabb, 3 new Gabb Go pets, Calculator, 2 New Themes, 8 New Wallpapers, Gabb ID and Gabb Cloud for backing up settings, Wi-Fi connection for better GPS location and faster updates, Bluetooth, Quiet Times with Focus Mode and Silent Mode Schedules, Volume Control, and additional apps coming soon!

Q: Is the Gabb Watch 3 waterproof? Can I take my Gabb Watch 3 swimming?

A: No. The Gabb Watch 3 has a water resistance rating of IP68, determined by the International Electrotechnical Commission. Swimming with the Gabb Watch 3 is not recommended and will void your warranty.

Q: Can the Gabb Watch 3 connect to the internet or social media?

A:  No. This watch cannot connect to the open internet or social media. The Wi-Fi feature allows for better GPS location monitoring by the parent in the MyGabb App and allows for important updates.

Q: Will Gabb Watch 2 accessories fit the Gabb Watch 3?

A:  Gabb Watch 2 watch bands are interchangeable with the Gabb Watch 3. The Gabb Watch 2 screen protector however is not compatible with the Gabb Watch 3

Q: Will MobyFox Watch Faces work on the Gabb Watch 3?

A:  Yes! Previously scanned Watch Faces will appear in the MyGabb app under your Gabb Watch 3 profile page.

Q: What is a Gabb ID?

A: Gabb ID is a child specific account you create for your child. It’s not the Gabb Account username and password you use to login to gabb.com/account and the parent MyGabb App. Gabb ID is a user specific secure account that is used to provide additional services for your child, including cloud backup. You must login to the Child’s Gabb ID to allow the Gabb Watch 3’s settings and more to be backed up in Gabb Cloud and for your child’s watch to function properly.

Q: What is Gabb Cloud?

A:  Gabb Cloud is a FREE digital backup service that securely stores data from your kid’s Gabb device. Once activated, Gabb Cloud will automatically backup your settings every night. If you upgrade, replace, factory reset, or SIM swap your Gabb device, all of this data can be restored automatically. On the Gabb Watch 3 (not available on the Gabb Watch 2), it backs up your Gabb Go progress and all your Settings. More data will be available for backup soon, like text messages.

Q: Does my Gabb Watch 3 come with a charging block? Does Gabb sell charging blocks?

A:  No. Gabb Watch 3 comes with the magnetic charging cable, but not the charging block/brick. You should use a 5V/1A or 5V/1000mA charging block with your magnetic wireless charger (like the one that came with the Gabb Watch 2).

Q: Does the Gabb Watch 2’s Gabb Go progress move over to the Gabb Watch 3?

A: Unfortunately, no, it does not. However, since the Gabb Watch 3 has Gabb Cloud that backs up Gabb Go, you won’t lose your Gabb Watch 3’s Gabb Go progress moving forward.

Q: How do I clean my Gabb Watch 3? How do I clean my wireless charger?

A:  Thoroughly clean with alcohol wipes. Be sure to dry before charging.

Q: Why do I need to login to Wi-Fi on the watch?

A: Wi-Fi helps the watch get more accurate locations and is required to get software updates on both the Gabb ID app and the Update app
