Product Usage Instructions
Installation
The Samba router app is not included in the standard router firmware. To
install it, follow the instructions in the Configuration manual (refer to
Chapter Related Documents).
Accessing the Web Interface
Once the module is installed, you can access its GUI by clicking on the module
name on the Router apps page of the router’s web interface.
Web Interface Menu
The left part of the GUI contains the following menu sections:
- Status
- Configuration
- Information
- Customization
Configuration
To configure the Samba router app, follow these steps:
- Click on the Configuration menu section in the main menu of the module’s web interface.
- You will see an overview of configurable items.
- Adjust the settings according to your requirements.
- Click Save or Apply to save the changes.
Global Configuration
To configure global settings for the Samba router app, follow these steps:
- Click on the Global item in the main menu of the module’s web interface.
- You will see a form with various configurable items.
- Fill in the necessary information for each item, such as enabling the Samba server, entering the workgroup name, specifying the NetBIOS name, drive name, username, and password, and enabling Samba interfaces for eth0 and eth1 ports.
- Click Save or Apply to save the changes.

Description of the module
- The router app is not contained in the standard router firmware. Uploading of this router app is described in the Configuration manual (see Chapter Related Documents).
- Samba is the standard Windows interoperability suite of programs for Linux and Unix. The router app Samba handles the creation of the Samba server.
Web Interface
- Once the installation of the module is complete, the module’s GUI can be invoked by clicking the module name on the Router apps page of the router’s web interface.
- The left part of this GUI contains a menu with a Status menu section, a Configuration menu section, and an Information menu section. The customization menu section contains only the Return item, which switches back from the module’s web page to the router’s web configuration pages. The main menu of the module’s GUI is shown in Figure 2.
Configuration
Global
All Samba router app settings can be configured by clicking on the Global item in the main menu of the module web interface. An overview of configurable items is given below.
