Thank you for buying and using the products of Chengdu XGIMI Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “XGIMI Technology” or “XGIMI”). You should read the Product Instructions carefully before using this product for both your safety and interests. XGIMI Technology will assume no responsibility for any personal injury, damage to property or other loss caused because due to failure to operate this product according to the Product Instructions or precautions.

  • Volume is adjusted through the add-subtract key when the function switch is moved to the left (VOL);
  • Focus is adjusted through the add-subtract key when the function switch is moved to the right (Focus).

Device on / off

  • When the device is off, press and hold the key” 0 “for 2 seconds to turn on the device
  • When the device is on, press and hold the key” 0 “for 5 seconds to turn off the device

Remote control pairing

  • Place the remote control within 10cm of the device, press “‘ “and “ “simultaneously, an indicator light will begin flashing as the remote control enters pairing mode. Buttons can be released as soon as flashing begins, and the connection is successful when a “Ding” is heard.
  • If pairing fails, after 30s repeat the above steps.

Function description of remote control

  • Focus adjustment function Automatic focus is activated when the function switch at the bottom of the remote control is moved to the right (Focus). Focus can then be adjusted using the “VOL+/-” key; focus adjustment function will stop when function switch is moved to the left (VOL), “VOL+/-” key will return to controlling the device volume.
  • Shortcut key function To access the shortcut key function, briefly press the “ ” key.

Automatic focus adjustment/focus adjustment through remote control

  • When the automatic focus adjustment function is on, the frame will be adjusted automatically when turning on the device or moving device to another location.
  • Automatic focus can be activated via the switch at the bottom of the remote control. Moving the switch to the right (Focus) the “VOL + /-” keys can be used to also adjust the frame.

The Google Assistant

  • The Google Assistant can be activated by pressing the delicated button “•:·” on the remote control.
  • You can quickly access entertainment, control smart devices, get answers on screen, and more using your voice.

Bluetooth Speaker Function

Search “XGIMI Halo” through mobile Bluetooth setting, connect to the device and play songs.

Setting

  • Set your device and image at any interface through” ” key of the remote control
  • Specific functions of the various settings are as follows:
    • 3D setting to video or signal source
    • Image mode Adjustment to image parameter under video or signal source
    • Frame ratio Adjustment to frame ratio of signal source
    • Voice output Setting to voice output channel of the device
    • HDMI version Setting to HDMI version
    • All settings Settings to other related items
  • 3D setting and image mode can only be set under video play or signal source channels.
  • Frame ratio and HDMI version option can only be set under the HDMI channel.

Chromecast built-in

  • Cast your favorite entertainment apps-movies & TV shows, music, games, sports, and more from your Android or iOS device, Mac or Windows computer, or Chromebook to the device. Find Chromecast-enabled apps at g.co/castapps.
  • Quickly cast video and audio content to the TV through” “of mobile application supported.
  • Screencasting will not be interrupted due to calling or message sending, and mobile phone battery consumption is minimal.
  • The whole frame of Android phones or Chrome browser on PC can be cast to the TV.

Charging instructions

  • The device should be charged with an official, standardized adaptor.
  • Charging time will be lengthened for charging under power on state.
  • Plug into adapter under off state, and blinking red indicator light represents charging while the green indicator light (green indicator light will extinguish after it is on for 10s) represents that battery is fully charged.
  • In the case of long-term non-use of the device, the device should be fully charged first. The power key of the device should be pressed for Ss to enter battery protection mode (device cannot be started through remote control under the mode) without plugging into the power cable. The device shall be charged once every 3 months to avoid irreversible capacity loss or damage arising from low battery caused due to the self-discharge of battery after excessively long storage time.

System upgrade

  • The system can only be upgraded with at least 50% battery level or connection of power.
  • Online upgrade
  • The online upgrade can be made through system setting.

Important Precautions

Correct use method of the device:

  • Do not face the lens into the eyes as injury to the eyes can be caused by the strong projector light.
  • Do not block the air inlet/outlet of the device to avoid damage to internal electronic devices arising from normal heat dissipation failure of the device.
  • Do not wipe the lens directly with cleaning tools including paper and cloth etc. to avoid damage to the lens; please clean up the dust on the lens surface through clean air blowing.
  • Do not wash the device with chemicals, detergents, or any liquid to avoid corrosion of the circuit board by rainwater, moisture, and mineral-containing liquids.
  • Keep the device and its components and accessories out of reach of children.
  • Ensure that the device is used in a dry and ventilated environment.
  • Do not store the device in overheated or overcooled places, because extreme temperatures will shorten the life of electronic devices. Permissible environment for storage and use of the device in an environment of 0°C~40°C.
  • Do not put the device into any heating equipment (such as a dryer and microwave oven etc.) for drying.
  • Do not extrude the device firmly or place barriers on it or its back to avoid damage to the device.
  • Do not throw, strike or sharply vibrate the device to avoid damage to the internal circuit board.
  • Do not try to disassemble and assemble the device yourself. Please contact the after-sales service of XGIMI for any problem.
  • Do not repair any product on your own. In the case of normal operation failure of the device or any component, you shall consult the after-sales service of XGIMI promptly or return it to the factory for repair.
  • Risk of explosion if the battery is replaced by an incorrect type. Dispose of used batteries according to the instructions.

FCC Alarm

The device meets provisions of part 15 of the FCC rule. Operation meets the following 2 conditions: (1) the device will not cause harmful interference, and (2) the device must accept any interference received, including interference that may result in accidental operations. User manual or operating instructions shall remind users that intentional or unintentional modification and replacement of radiators without explicit approval from the responsible compliance party may prevent the user from operating the device. If the manual is provided in a form other than paper, such as, provided in a computer disk through the Internet, then the information required in the section can be included in the manual in the alternative form under the premise that users can have access to the form information. For B-class digital or peripheral devices, instructions provided by users shall include the following or similar statements and put them in a prominent place of manual text:

Notes: the device has been tested to meet restrictions of part 15 of the FCC rule on B-class digital devices. These restrictions are aimed at proving the effective prevention of harmful interference in a residential installation. If installation and use are not made according to the instructions, the device will generate and radiate radio frequency energy and may cause harmful interference to radio communication. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. If the device does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception (determined by stopping and starting the device). it is suggested that users should attempt to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures:

  • Reposition the direction of the receiving antenna.
  • Increase the distance between the device and the receiver.
  • Connect the device to a circuit socket different from the circuit connected to the receiver.
  • Consult distributors or experienced radio/television technicians to seek help.

Disposal of your old product and battery
Your product is designed and manufactured with high-quality materials and components, which can be recycled and reused. This symbol on a product means that the product is covered by European Directive 2012/19/EU. This symbol means that the product contains a built-in rechargeable battery covered by European Directive 2013/56/EU which cannot be disposed of with normal household waste. We strongly advise you to take your product to an official collection point or a XGIMI service center to have a professional remove the rechargeable battery. Inform yourself about the local separate collection system for electrical and electronic products and rechargeable batteries. Follow local rules and never dispose of the product and rechargeable batteries with normal household waste. Correct disposal of old products and rechargeable batteries helps prevent negative consequences for the environment and human health.

Caution
Removal of the built-in battery invalidates the warranty and may destroy the product. Always bring your product to a professional to remove the built-in battery.

  • The a danger of explosion if the battery is incorrectly replaced. Replace only with the same or equivalent type.
  • Replacement of a battery with an incorrect type can defeat a safeguard.
  • Only use attachments/accessories specified or provided by the manufacturer (such as the exclusive supply adapter, battery, etc).
  • Disposal of a battery into a fire or a hot oven, or mechanically crushing or cutting of a battery, can result in an explosion.
  • Leaving a battery in an extremely high temperature surrounding environment can result in an explosion or the leakage of flammable liquid or gas.
  • A battery subjected to extremely low air pressure may result in an explosion or the leakage of flammable liquid or gas.

Radiation Exposure Statement

For remote control, the device is compiled by using FCC radiation exposure limits specified for uncontrolled environments. The transmitter shall not be placed or operated in conjunction with any other antenna or transmitter. For the LED projector, the device meets FCC radiation exposure limits specified for uncontrolled environments. In the installation and operation of the device, the distance between the radiator and the body should be at least 20cm.

Notes: The 5150-5250Mhz frequency range is only for indoor use.
