- This appliance is not intended for use by children or by persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used near children.
- Before using the blender, confirm that the voltage input is 120V~60HZ.
- Keep the blender and its power cord away from electric ovens, gas stoves, and other heat sources.
- Make sure all parts are assembled and attached properly before plugging the power cord into a standard electrical outlet.
- Never touch the detachable parts when the appliance is running to avoid injury.
- Warning: The blade is sharp. Handle with caution.
- Ensure food being blended is in line with food-grade certification standards.
- To increase the service life of the blender, operate the appliance in strict accordance with the rated working time (1-minute cycles; 30-minute break after 10 cycles).
- Unplug the power cord from the outlet and wait for the blade to stop spinning before removing the jar and other accessories from the base. Never remove any accessories while the appliance is still running.
- Never submerge or rinse the base of the blender in water or other liquid. The base of the blender is not dishwasher safe.
- Do not clean the blender with steel wool and abrasive cleansers.
- Ensure the blender is unplugged from the outlet and the blade has stopped spinning before disassembling or reassembling parts.
- If the power cord is damaged, please contact Gourmia Customer Service. Do not attempt to repair the power cord by yourself.
- Do not operate the blender with a damaged cord, plug, or jar. If the blender malfunctions or is damaged or broken, please contact Gourmia Customer Service. Do not attempt to repair the blender by yourself.
- Do not let the cord hang over the edge of a table or counter. To disconnect the blender from the outlet, pull directly on the plug. Do not pull on the cord.
- Do not use attachments not recommended by the manufacturer. They may result in injury to yourself or damage to the blender.

Cord and Plug Safety
- A short power-supply cord is provided to reduce risk of becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord.
- Extension cords may be used if care is exercised in their use.
- If an extension cord is used:
- The marked electrical rating of the extension cord should be at least equal to the electrical rating of the appliance; and
- The longer cord should be arranged so that it will not drape over the countertop or tabletop where it can be pulled on by children or tripped over.
Electrical Polarized Plug
- This unit has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other).
- To reduce the risk of electric shock, the plug is intended to be used by inserting it into the electrical outlet only one way.
- If the plug does not fit securely into the outlet, reverse the plug and re-insert.
- If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician for assistance. Do not modify the plug in any way.

KNOW YOUR BLENDER
Assembling Your Blender
- Secure the blade inside the jar nut.
- Screw the assembled blade onto the bottom of the jar by turning the assembled blade clockwise until you have a tight seal.
- Place the jar onto the base by aligning the tabs on the jar nut with the slots on the base.
Assembling Your Tamper
- Slide the tamper through the opening in the lid.
- Twist the tamper handle around the top of the tamper until it’s secure in place.
- Place the lid (with the tamper) on top of the jar by aligning the small circle on the lid with the top of the jar handle. Push down to secure the lid in place.
- Pull the tamper up to the lid and turn it clockwise to lock it in place.

USING YOUR BLENDER
- Gourmia designed its blender for intuitive use and exceptional performance.
- Total Blend Technology changes the blending speed and power depending on your chosen program for perfect results.
- When blending manually, choose from 4 different speeds for a customized blend.
- Track the progress of your blend with a digital countdown timer and enjoy fully blended results with the Round-Plated Tamper.
- Follow the steps below for detailed instructions on how to get the most out of your Gourmia Digital Blender.
Before First Use
- Remove all packaging material. Check to ensure all parts are included before discarding any packaging.
- WARNING: The blade is sharp. Handle with caution.
- Wash the jar and jar lid with warm soapy water and a soft sponge. Rinse and dry thoroughly.
- Place the blender on a flat, level, sturdy surface.
- Plug the power cord into an outlet.
WARNING:
- Do not attempt to blend boiling liquids or solid frozen foods (except for ice cubes or frozen fruits cut to 1 cubic inch or smaller).
- Do not put your hands inside the jar with the blender plugged in.
- Keep hands, fingers, hair, and clothing away from the blender during use. Always turn the blender off and unplug it from the wall before reaching inside.
- Be careful when handling the jar as the blade is very sharp.
Using Total Blend Programs
- Add all ingredients into the jar and secure the lid.
- WARNING: Do not exceed the MAX LINE when adding food or liquid to the jar.
- Press the FUNCTION button to switch to program mode. All Total Blend programs will light up.
- Rotate the selector knob. The program names will blink as you turn the knob. Stop when your desired program is blinking.
- Press the START / STOP button to begin blending. Only the chosen program will remain lit. The blending time will count down on the display.
- You may add more ingredients by removing the cap and dropping ingredients through the fill area.
- Note: See Using the Tamper on page 13 to achieve fully blended results.
- Note: See Using Pulse Mode on page 13 to maximize the blender’s speed and power.
- When finished, the display will show End.

- Ideal for mixing different types of batter and emulsifying salad dressings.

- Ice Crush
- Peak power for a stellar ice-crushing performance.
- Green Smoothie
- Perfect for blending tough and fibrous foods like pineapple and kale.
- Spreads
- A range of dips and spreads from chunky to smooth.
- Frozen Drink
- Smooth, icy consistency for a professional-quality frozen drink made at home.
- Puree
- Perfect for silky sauces, soups and purees.
Using Manual Mode
- Add all ingredients into the jar and secure the lid.
- Press the FUNCTION button to switch to manual mode. All four speeds will light up.
- Choose a speed by rotating the selector knob. The names of the speeds will blink as you turn the knob. Stop when your desired speed is blinking. If you are blending without setting a time, skip step 4.
- Press the + TIMER button to set the blending time. The time will increase by 5-second intervals after pressing the + TIMER button. Hold the + TIMER button to rapidly increase time.
- Press the START / STOP button to begin blending. The blending time will count down on the display.
- If you are blending without setting a time, the time will count on the display.
- Note: You can change the speed of the manual blend at any time by turning the selector knob to your desired speed.
- When finished, the display will show End.
- If you are blending without setting a time, press the START/STOP button to end the blend.
Using the Tamper
WARNING: Only use the round-plated tamper with the lid securely in place.
- The round-plated tamper allows for the processing of thick, dense ingredients without stopping the blend.
- The tamper pushes these ingredients toward the blade for fully blended results. See page 8 for detailed instructions on Assembling Your Tamper.
- While the blend is in progress, simply turn the tamper counterclockwise from the lock position to the unlock position and push down.
- When finished, pull the tamper up to the lid and turn it clockwise to lock it back in place.
- Do not leave the tamper pushed into the jar for an extended period.
- When finished, ensure the tamper is locked in place by the lid.
Using Pulse Mode
- The pulse function runs the blender at peak speed and power.
- Press and hold the PULSE button to maximize the blender’s speed and power.
- When the PULSE button is pressed, the display will count up, making it easy to track the pulse time.
- When the PULSE button is released, the blender will return to the original blend’s speed.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
- To keep the blender running at peak performance, we recommend cleaning the appliance after every use.
- The jar, lid, lid and blade sealing rings, blade, tamper, and tamper handle are all dishwasher safe.
Handwashing
WARNING:
- Do not use abrasive scouring pads or cleaners, as they may scratch the surface and damage the appliance.
Please follow the steps below after every use:
- Rinse the ingredients off the jar and lid.
- Wash the jar, lid, lid sealing ring, and blade sealing ring in warm soapy water with a soft cloth or bottle brush. Dry thoroughly.
- CAREFULLY release the blade from the bottom of the jar by turning the jar nut counterclockwise.
- WARNING: Blade is sharp. Handle with caution.
- Wash the blade in warm, soapy water. Dry thoroughly.
- Wipe the base with a soft, damp cloth, then dry thoroughly.
For Ingredients Stuck on the Jar
- Fill the blender to the MAX LINE with water mixed with a few drops of dishwashing liquid.
- Press the FUNCTION button to switch to manual mode.
- Choose the MEDIUM speed by rotating the selector knob.
- Press and hold the + TIMER button until the blending time is set to 30 seconds.
- Press the START/ STOP button to begin blending. The blending time will count down on the display.
- When finished, the display will show End.
- Allow the blender to air dry before storing. Rinse with clean water before the next use.
WARRANTY AND SERVICE
- This Limited Warranty is for one full year from the date of purchase and requires proof of purchase from an authorized seller.
- It applies to the original purchaser only and is not transferable to a third-party user.
- Repair or replacement of defective parts is solely at Gourmia’s discretion.
- If repair isn’t possible, Gourmia will replace the product/part.
- If product repair/replacement won’t suffice, Gourmia has the option of refunding the cash value of the product or component returned.
- Product defects not covered under the Warranty provisions include normal wear and damage incurred from use or accidental negligence, misuse of instruction specifications or repair by unauthorized parties.
- Gourmia is not liable for any incidental or consequential damages incurred by such circumstances.
