Product Usage Instructions

Charging the Keyboard

To charge the Keychron Keyboard, follow these steps:

1. Locate the USB Type-C port on the keyboard.
2. Connect one end of the provided USB Type-C cable to the keyboard.
3. Connect the other end of the cable to a power source, such as a computer or wall adapter.
4. The keyboard’s LED indicator will turn on to indicate that it is charging.
5. Once fully charged, the LED indicator will turn off.

Bluetooth Pairing

To pair the Keychron Keyboard with your device via Bluetooth, please follow these steps:

1. Ensure that the keyboard is turned on by sliding the power switch to the “ON” position.
2. Press and hold the Bluetooth key (located on the keyboard) for 3 seconds until the Bluetooth LED indicator starts flashing.
3. On your device, navigate to the Bluetooth settings menu.
4. Select the keyboard from the list of available devices.
5. Follow any additional prompts to complete the pairing process.

Switching between Devices

The Keychron Keyboard allows you to switch between multiple devices seamlessly. To switch between devices, please follow these steps:

1. Ensure that the keyboard is connected to the current device.
2. Press and hold the desired function key (F1, F2, or F3) along with the Bluetooth key for 3 seconds until the corresponding Bluetooth LED indicator starts flashing.
3. On the new device, navigate to the Bluetooth settings menu.

Using Instructions

Switch To The Right System

• Please make sure the system toggle on the top left corner has been switched to the same system as your computer’s operating system.

The VIA Key Remapping Software

• Please visit caniusevia.com to download the latest VIA software to remap the keys.
• If the VIA software cannot recognize your keyboard, please reach out to our support to get the instructions.

The Layers

• There are four layers of key settings on the keyboard. Layer O and layer 1 are for the Mac system. Layer 2 and layer 3 are for the Windows system.
• If your system toggle is switched to Mac, then the layer O will be activated.
• If your system toggle is switched to Windows, then layer 2 will be activated. Remember that if you are using it in Windows mode, please make changes to layer 2 instead of the top layer (layer 0). This is a common mistake people are making.

The Backlight

• Press fn + Q to change the lighting effect.
• Press the fn + tab to turn the backlight on/off.

Adjust The Backlight Brightness

Warranty

• The keyboard is highly customizable and easy to rebuild.
• If anything goes wrong with any of the keyboard components of the keyboard during the warranty period, we will only replace the defective parts of the keyboard, not the whole keyboard.

Factory Reset

Troubleshooting? Don’t know what’s going on with the keyboard?

1. Try a factory reset by pressing fn +J +Z (for 4 seconds)

2. Download the right firmware for your keyboard from our website.
   Remove the power cable from the keyboard.

3. Remove the space bar keycap to find the reset button on the PCB.

4. Hold the reset key while plugging in the power cable and then release the reset key. The keyboard now will enter DFU mode.

5. Flash the firmware with the QMK Toolbox.

6. Factory reset the keyboard again by pressing fn + J + Z (for 4 seconds)
