Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Problem : No Signal or Go to Power Save Messages on Screen
If you are seeing these messages on one of the screens, try the following
troubleshooting tips:
- USB+HDMI Connection: Make sure each screen has both a video and power feed. If your laptop does not have a USB-C with DisplayPort or Thunderbolt 3 port, use 2 cables per screen (1 HDMI video cable and 1 USB cable for power).
- USB-C Connection: If you are using a USB-C port on your laptop with a single USB-C to C cable for power and video, ensure that your laptop supports video over this USB-C port. Refer to your laptop’s online user manual for verification.
- Apildella USB 3.0 to HDMI Adapter + USB+HDMI Connection: If your laptop does not have a USB C DisplayPort but has one HDMI and two USB-A ports, use the Apildella USB 3.0 to HDMI adapter to convert one of the USB-A ports to an HDMI port. Connect the HDMI cable to the Apildella monitor and use an external adapter to power the side screen.
Problem : Black Screen Even with Connected Cable
If the screen remains black after connecting the cable, it may indicate
insufficient or unstable power from your laptop interface. To resolve this:
- Use an adapter (5V/2A or above) to supply power from an external source.

Common Problem
“No Signal” or “Go to power save” messages are appearing on my screen
If you are getting a message on one of the screens that says “No Signal” or “Go to power save” see below for some troubleshooting tips!
USB+HDMI Connection
- Make sure that you have BOTH a video AND a power feed going to each screen. Unless your laptop has a USB-C with a Display port or a Thunderbolt 3 port you will need to use 2 cables per screen to it to function. (1 HDMI video cable and 1 USB cable power)
USB C Connection
- If you are using a USB-C port on your laptop along with a single USB-C to C cable for power and video, make sure that your laptop supports video over this USB-C port. (Please reference your laptop’s online user manual to verify.)
Apildella USB 3.0 to HDMI adapter+USB+HDMI Connection
- If your laptop does not have a USB C DisplayPort but has one HDMI and two USB-A ports, you can use the Apildella USB 3.0 to HDMI adapter to convert one of the USB-A ports to an HDMI port and connect it to the Apildella monitor, and then connect an external adapter to power this side screen. In other words, each screen is connected using USB+HDMI cables.
- I have connected the cable to the screen and the screen is still black.
If the screen is still black even with the cable connected, the power from your laptop interface is not enough or stable for the product. In order to make it work well, please use an adapter (5V/2A or above) to supply the power from outside.
