ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
-
Loosely thread the hex nut (AA) onto the nipple (EE) and then install this assembly onto the mounting strap (CC). Next, install this assembly to the outlet box using the mounting screws supplied with the outlet box (not included).
-
In this step, you will adjust the depth of the nipple in relation to the canopy depth.
Take the canopy (C) and slip it over the nipple (EE). You will need to adjust the nipple so at least 1/4″ of the threaded portion is exposed through the canopy hole. This is done by adjusting the depth of the nipple (EE) on the mounting strap (CC). When the nipple depth is correctly adjusted, remove the canopy (C) and tighten the top hex nut (AA) against the mounting strap (CC). -
Equally adjust the arms by carefully turning them out from the center.
-
Pass the wire through the chain loop (B). Attach both chain loops (B) to fixture (A) and secure tightly.During this step, determine the hanging length of your fixture by removing chain links (FF) and optionally cutting the electrical and ground wire to length.
Do NOT cut electrical or ground wires until this overall length is determined. Leave AT LEAST 6 inches MINIMUM of wire past the chain holder (EE) to allow for easy connections in step 7. -
Once hanging length is determined, open two quick links (GG). Hook the quick link (GG) onto one end of the chain (FF) and to the chain loop (B). Close the quick links (GG) and secure it tightly. Open the other two quick links (GG). Hook the quick links (GG) onto the other end of the chain (FF) and to the canopy loop (C). Close the quick link (GG) and secure it tightly.
With the chain links (FF) closed and all the loops fastened securely, have someone help you hold up the fixture by the canopy (HH) and visually inspect the chain lengths, making sure fixture hangs evenly. -
You now need to attach the fixture support cable.
This cable will aid you in suppurting the fixture during the wiring‘ connection in step 7. You will need a helper to help hold up the fixture during this step.
Make sure the supply wire is out of the way from the drill for this step.
Use a #29 drill (ø.136) or (3.5mm) bit to create a mounting hole in the side of the junction box.
Next, using the self threaded screw (HH) and flat washer (JJ) provided, secure the support cable into the hole you just drilled in the junction box. Tighten securely. -
Strip 3/8” of insulation from the electrical wire ends. Using the wire nuts (BB), connect the RIBBED fixture wire to the WHITE supply wire from the junction box; connect the SMOOTH fixture wire to the BLACK supply wire from the junction box.
Connect the fixture ground wire and supply ground wire together using a wire nut, or fasten both to the ground screw on the mounting strap. Push all the wire connections carefully into the outlet box. -
Position and attach the canopy (C) onto the nipple (EE) and use the finial (DD) to secure the canopy (HH) tightly to the celiling .
-
Thread the lamps (not included) into the fixture sockets.
Use 60-watt MAX incandescent candelabra base, SBCFL or SBLED.
