OPERATE THE APPLIANCE

  • Before using the appliance for consumption, boil clean water in it several times by filling the kettle to the maximum position. Use fresh, cold water for each boil cycle.

USE:

  • Remove the kettle from the base, press the button on the handle to open the lid, and fill the kettle with water as needed between the min-max level. Close the lid and put the kettle back on the base.
  • Depending on the model, use the button on the handle or at the bottom of the kettle to turn on the appliance. This will be indicated by the LED lighting up. When the water has boiled, the appliance will turn off and you will hear the switch click. Use the hot water from the kettle and put the appliance back on its base.
    • Note! Only use the kettle with its lid closed.
  • If you accidentally turn on the kettle without water, or when the water boils off, the safety device will operate and the kettle will turn off automatically. You will be able to use the kettle again when the heating element has cooled down and you fill the kettle with water.

CLEANING:

  1. Before cleaning, always unplug the appliance from the wall outlet and allow it to cool down completely.
  2. Do not immerse the kettle, cord, and power base in water, and protect against contact with moisture.
  3. Wipe the outside of the kettle with a damp cloth or mild cleaning agent; never use any poisonous cleaning agents.
  4. Remember to clean the filter regularly. To facilitate cleaning, remove the filter by pressing the filter tab inside the kettle, and reinstall it after cleaning.
    • NOTE: To prevent matting, do not use any abrasive cleaners, harsh chemicals, steel, or wood to clean the outside of the kettle.
  5. When the kettle is not in use and in storage, you can wind the power cord under the kettle base.

DESCALE YOUR APPLIANCE

If the appliance switches off before the water boils, it means descaling is required. Descale your kettle periodically, as minerals dissolved in the tap water can form limescale on the bottom of the kettle, which reduces the water heating efficiency. You can use a commercially available descaler and follow the instructions on its packaging. You can also use white vinegar and follow the instructions below.

  1. Fill the kettle with 3 cups of white vinegar and then add water until it completely covers the limescale. Leave the solution in the kettle overnight.
  2. Then pour the mixture out of the kettle, fill the kettle with clean water to the maximum level, bring it to a boil, and then pour out the water.
  3. Repeat several times until the smell of vinegar disappears. Any limescale residue inside the spout can be removed by wiping it with a damp cloth.
