Fitting instructions

ALPINE B0BQJP5QG7 SoftSilicone Mouldable Silicone Putty Ear
Plugs

Improper fit, improper use or failure to follow the instructions of this device will decrease noise reduction effectiveness, can increase the risk of hearing damage and affect the lifespan of the earplugs. Never insert the earplug into your ear channel. Do not split de earplug, as it must be big enough to seal your ear on the outside. This product may not be suitable for people with bigger ear channels.

  1. Make sure the ears and hands are clean and dry before insertion. Knead the plug firmly to heat the plug until it’s soft and easy to shape.
  2. Shape the earplug into a ball. Do not shape the earplug into an elongated shape.
  3. Place the ball on top of the ear canal’s opening and shape it with your finger until it seals over the ear canal. When air is trapped in the ear channel, you can gently pull your outer ear back in order to release any air.
  4. Do not insert the earplugs into the ear channel, they are only intended as a lid over the ear canal. If they get far into the ear canal they can be difficult to remove.

After using, make sure to use your fingers to remove the earplugs. Avoid abrupt movements to avoid damage to your eardrum. Apply some light pressure on the outer ear from behind to loosen the earplugs. Please be gentle if with long finger nails and do not use hard or sharp objects to remove the earplugs.

Special instructions

The hearing protector is intended to protect the wearer from hazardous noise levels and from water entering the ears. Ask your physician before using earplugs if you have an ear infection, an eardrum injury or a grommet inside the ear. Always wear the earplugs when in a noisy environment, without interruption. Be aware that the earplugs can loosen and fall out of the ear during highly active movements in water (jumping, diving or freestyle swimming). The wearer should ensure that the earplugs are fitted, adjusted and maintained in accordance with this Instruction Manual. Any other uses are not intended and therefore not allowed. Please consult an ENT specialist if the earplug is too deep in the ear channel and you can not gently remove them with your fingers. Do not attempt to remove the earplug by yourself. Alpine Hearing Protection is not liable for any damage arising from misuse. Check the working order of the earplugs regularly and store them in the original and clean travel box. Store them at temperatures below 30° C and away from direct sunlight. The earplugs can be reused if they are still sticky, clean and dry. The earplugs can not be cleaned. Replace soiled earplugs and earplugs that have become less effective over time. When this device is worn as directed, the level of noise entering a person’s ear is approximated by the differences between the A-weighted environmental noise level and the lesser and greater NRRs. Caution: For predominantly low frequency noise environments in which the difference in the measured C-weighted and A-weighted noise levels (dBCdBA) exceeds 3 dB, the user is directed to the enclosed graph of the variability of noise reduction with noise spectra to determine the level of protection. This product may be adversely affected by certain chemical substances (such as hand cream) and will expire 5 years after production. The earplugs are made of silicon material and contain antibacterial silver (biocide: silver zirconium phosphate) and Aloë Vera. Further information should be sought from the manufacturer. Hereby, Alpine Hearing Protection, declares that the hearing protector Alpine SoftSilicone is in compliance with the PPE regulation (EU) 2016/425.
