Keep in mind that the specific features and functions of the Kingslim D1 may vary, so it’s essential to consult the user manual that came with your device for detailed instructions. Here are some general steps:

Important Instruction

  1. Unboxing:
    • Open the box and ensure that all the components are included. Typical components may include the dash cam unit, a power cable, a mounting bracket, a user manual, and sometimes a microSD card.
  2. Mounting:
    • Choose a suitable location on your vehicle’s windshield to mount the dash cam. It’s usually best to place it behind the rearview mirror, ensuring it doesn’t obstruct your view of the road.
    • Use the included mounting bracket and adhesive to attach the dash cam securely to the windshield.
  3. Power Connection:
    • Connect the power cable to the dash cam and the other end to your vehicle’s power source. Most dash cams are designed to plug into the 12V power outlet (cigarette lighter) using an adapter.
  4. Initial Setup:
    • Turn on the dash cam by pressing the power button or following the instructions in the manual.
    • Go through the initial setup process, which typically involves setting the date and time and selecting your preferred language.
  5. Recording:
    • Once the dash cam is set up, it should automatically start recording when you turn on your vehicle. Some models may require you to manually start recording.
    • The dashcam will continuously record video footage onto the microSD card (if included or purchased separately). It may overwrite the oldest files when the card is full, so ensure you periodically back up important footage.
  6. Adjusting Settings:
    • Explore the dash cam’s settings menu to customize options such as video resolution, loop recording duration, motion detection, parking mode, and more. Refer to the user manual for specific instructions on adjusting these settings.
  7. Saving Footage:
    • Many dash cams allow you to manually save or lock specific video clips by pressing a button. This can be useful in case of an accident or other important events on the road.
  8. Accessing Footage:
    • To review or retrieve footage, you can typically do so on the dash cam’s built-in screen or by connecting it to a computer via USB. Some models also offer Wi-Fi connectivity for easier access through a mobile app.
  9. Maintenance:
    • Periodically clean the lens of the dash cam to ensure clear video recording.
    • Check and format the microSD card as needed to maintain reliable storage.

Why does the screen turn white/black/patchy?

There may be something wrong with the firmware of your dash cam. Please kindly contact the customer service for the warranty claim. Don’t forget to send some photos as proof.

Why does my dash cam turn on and off automatically?

Please check if the dash cam turns on normally when you remove the SD card and connect your dash cam to a socket with a USB cable. If so, please turn off your dash cam and plug it in the original car charger with 5V for about one hour, then turn it on to see if it works normally. Otherwise, please restore it to factory settings if the two methods do not help.

Why does my dash cam do not turn on anymore?

Please check if the indicator light on the car charger turns on, if not, please plug the car charger again and check if there is power in the cigarette lighter. Otherwise, please use another charging cable to charge for about one hour to see if it finally turns on.
