Using the refrigerator

NOTE

  • Before starting your new refrigerator for the first time, clean it inside and outside with a damp cloth for hygienic reasons.
  • When using the refrigerator for the first time, there may be a mild odor that will disappear after a few hours. Air out the living space well.
  • Park the vehicle so that it is level, especially when starting up and filling the refrigerator before setting off on a journey.
  • The cooling capacity can be affected by:
    – the ambient temperature (e.g. when the vehicle is exposed to direct sunlight)
    – the amount of food to be refrigerated
    – how often do you open the door

5.1 Tips for optimal refrigerator operation

  • Do not store goods in the refrigerator for the first 4 hours after start-up.
  • Protect the interior of the vehicle from warming up excessively (e.g. sunshades in the windows, air conditioner).
  • Protect the refrigerator from direct sunlight (e.g. sunshades in the windows).

5.2 Notes on storing food

CAUTION! Health hazard
If the refrigerator is exposed to a room temperature of below +10 °C for an extended period of time, a uniform temperature cannot be guaranteed in the frozen compartment.
This can lead to an increase in the frozen compartment temperature and the goods stored in it may defrost.

NOTICE! Damage hazard

  • The maximum weight per door shelf is 3 kg. The maximum weight for the entire door is 7.5 kg.
  • Do not keep carbonated drinks in the frozen compartment.

➤ Store food as shown (fig. 1, page 5).

5.3 Saving energy

  • Only open the refrigerator as often and for as long as necessary.
  • Allow warm food to cool down first before placing it in the device to keep cool.
  • Defrost your refrigerator as soon as a layer of ice forms.
  • Avoid unnecessarily low-temperature settings.
  • For optimal energy consumption, position the shelves and drawers according to their position on delivery.
  • On a regular basis, make sure the door seal still fits properly.
  • Clean dust and dirt from the condenser at regular intervals.

5.4 Operating the refrigerator

NOTE

  • When setting the QUIET mode or BOOST mode, the refrigerator returns after 8 hours automatically to PERFORMANCE mode, using the same configuration as set before changing to QUIET or BOOST mode.
  • For ambient temperatures of +15 °C to +25 °C, select the average temperature setting.
