How to Connect Your Robot Vacuum to Your Home Wi-Fi
Before You Start
- Make sure your phone/tablet is connected to your home Wi-Fi network.
- Only 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi is supported.
- Make sure you have turned on Bluetooth.
- A Wi-Fi password is needed during setup.

Open the Tapo app and tap Vacuums on the menu bar. Tap the + icon and select your model.

Slide the power switch from OFF to ON to power your robot vacuum. Tap Next

Press and hold the and buttons simultaneously for 5 seconds and then release. All buttons should start to blink white. Tap Next.
Note: If buttons are not blinking white, press and hold the and buttons simultaneously for 10 seconds to reset your robot vacuum.

Connect your phone to your robot vacuum.

Select your home Wi-Fi and enter the Wi-Fi password.
Note: Only 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi is supported.

Success! Your robot vacuum is now connected to your Wi-F
Why my Robot Vacuum is offline?

Make sure your router has internet access.

Ensure your Wi-Fi network is stable.

Make sure your robot vacuum is powered on and always works within the range of your network.
Note: The robot vacuum will shut down after 10 hours of inactivity from the charging station. -
Turn off your robot vacuum and turn it back on, then try again.

If you have changed your home Wi-Fi network name(SSID) or password, please reset your robot vacuum and set it up again.

How to Clean the Filter of My Robot Vacuum
For RV10 Lite
Clean the filter once a week and replace it every 3-6 months. If there is too
much dust in the filter,
the cleaning efficiency and effect will be reduced.

Remove the dustbin and open the lid.

Remove the filter.

Clean the filter with a cleaning brush.

Wash the dustbin and filter.
Note: Do not wash with hot water or detergents.

Air-dry the dustbin and filter thoroughly, then install the filter in the previous orientation.
For RV30/RV10

Failed to Setup My Robot Vacuum
- Check if the power switch on the left side of the robot vacuum is toggled to “ON”.
- The battery level is low. Please place the robot vacuum on the dock to charge and it will start automatically when it is ready.
- Please use the robot vacuum within the temperature range of O °C (32 °F) – 30 °C (86 °F).
My Robot Vacuum Makes Abnormal Noise During Cleaning
There may be foreign matter entangled in the main brush, side brush, or wheels. Please clean up after the shutdown.
How to Clean the Dustbin of My Robot Vacuum
For RV10 Lite
Clean the dustbin each time the cleaning is complete. Too much dust in the dustbin will reduce the cleaning efficiency. When the dustbin is too full, the dust may fall on the floor while the robot vacuum is cleaning.

Remove the dustbin.

Open the dustbin door to empty the dustbin.

Place the dustbin back inside the robot vacuum.
For RV10

The suction fan is the main clean component of the Robot Vacuum. Its main function is to suck garbage into the dustbin, and there are 4 adjustable suction powers Quiet, Standard, Turbo, and Max.
If the suction fan of your Robot Vacuum reports errors, you may try the following troubleshooting steps:

Remove the main brush and check if the suction fan gets stuck in obstacles.

The side brush of the Robot Vacuum is a three-prong-shaped accessory. Its main function is to clean up the garbage at the corners and the roots of obstacles and gather the garbage to the main brush to better clean.
If the side brush of your Robot Vacuum reports errors, please try the following troubleshooting steps:
- Check if there are foreign matters entangled in the side brush. You may turn the Robot Vacuum over to check.
- If there are foreign matters entangled in the side brush, please pull firmly to remove them. Wipe with a damp cloth if needed.
- Re-install the side brush and press it tightly to ensure it is installed in place. Restart the Robot Vacuum and see if the issue is resolved.

Robot vacuums typically don’t fall down stairs because they’re designed to use downward-facing sensors to detect and avoid stairs, If it happens, it might be caused by the abnormal cliff sensor.
The cliff sensor is a sensor that prevents the Robot Vacuum from falling.
The Robot Vacuum has a total of 3 cliff sensors, which are distributed on the bottom of the left, right, and front.
You may try the following troubleshooting steps:
- Turn the robot vacuum over, and wipe the cliff sensor with a damp cloth.
- Keep the robot vacuum upside down, and press the Start button to check if the main wheels stop spinning after a brief spin and an alarm sounds.
How to Troubleshooting A Charging Failure on My Robot Vacuum
- Please remove the robot vacuum and check whether the indicator light of the dock is on, and make sure that both ends of the power adapter of the dock is plugged in.
- Poor contact. Please clean up the spring contacts on the dock and the charging contacts on the robot vacuum.
- Check if the power switch on the left side of the robot vacuum is toggled to “ON”.
