Introduction
Dear user,
For your safety, Please read the instruction manual carefully prior to using the rollator for the first time. It may also be relevant to refer to the instruction manual at periodic intervals.
Safety Instructions
General Safety Instructions
- Max user weight 120kg.
- Always apply the brakes when sitting on, or standing up from a seated position.
- Pinch Risk! Be careful when folding and unfolding the rollator that clothing and body parts do not get caught between folding components of the rollator.
- Each brake operates only one wheel.
- Do not clean the rollator with abrasive cleaners or polishes.
- Check that the rollator is in tact before every use.
- Ensure the brakes operate before each use.
- Brakes should be inspected every six months by retailer or repairer.
- Load limit of the basket is 5kg.
- Surfaces of the rollator may heat up when exposed to direct sunlight or other heat sources.
Intended Use
- The rollator is designed to support mobility impaired users who require a support aid whilst walking.
- The seat allows the user to sit and rest ONLY, and is not intended to be used whilst the rollator is in motion.
- Only use the rollator on a firm level surface .
- Do not stand on the rollator.
Warranty
- Warranty of the rollator is only guaranteed when used in accordance with the instructions as set out in the instruction manual.
- Modifications to the rollator may void warranty.
- Warranty period 12mths from date of purchase.
Service Life
- If used as intended, and with adequate maintenance and safety adhered to, the life span of the rollator is up to 5 years. Beyond this period, the rollator should be inspected by a service professional to ensure it is safe to operate.
Description & Contents
Inspection on delivery
- The rollator has been through a thorough quality control check prior to packaging and shipment.
- Sometimes damage can occur during shipment.
- Once you receive and unpack your rollator please inspect for any damage.
- Please report and faulty items to your retailer prior to assembling your rollator within 7 days.

- 2 Star knobs for handle height adjustment
- 2 clips for front leg height adjustment
Assembly
- Remove all components from packaging
- Open the A Frame by separating the front and rear legs, Pushing down on the seat handle will aid this process.
- Insert the front axle assembly into the front legs
- with the wheels to the inside of the frame.
- Handles can be identified Left from Right by the natural hand position.
- Insert the left rear wheel into the left rear leg and the left handle into the left front leg.
- Insert the right rear wheel into the right rear leg and
- the right handle into the right front leg.
- Right handle and rear wheel assembly
- insert the backrest into the backrest mount by first depressing the retaining clips. Beware NOT to pinch fingers.
- Fit brake cables into cable clamps at desired position.
Height Adjustments
- For correct sizing, seek the advice of an occupational therapist.
- As a guide
- Seat Height should be level with the back of the knee when standing in an upright position.The handle height should be level with the middle of the users wrist, when in an upright position, arms by the sides.
Seat Height Adjustment
- Adjust seat height by adjusting the legs of the frame.
- The legs have four adjustment positions.
- The seat height should be at the level of the back of the knee.
- Ensure front and rear legs are in the same height positions. 1,2,3 or 4.
- The rear legs are adjusted by depressing the height adjustment clips and sliding the leg until it clicks into position.
- The front legs are adjusted by removing the rtetaining clips, adjusting tio the desired height and reinserting the clips
- To remove the front clips first lift the safety latch.
Handle Height Adjustment
- Handle Height adjustment is done by removing the star knobs, sliding their handles up or down to the desired position and refitting the star knobs. The
- handle height should be level with the middle of the users wrist, when in an upright position, arms by the sides.
- Tighten firmly until the movement is taken out of the handle. being careful not to over tighten.
Operation
Brake Application/ Adjustment
- The brakes have been adjusted and tested prior to packaging, however checking the operation prior to use is essential.
- To apply the brakes, squeeze the brake level toward the handle.
- To apply the locking brakes, push the brake level away from the handle until a click is heard.
- If the brakes do not lock, have the brakes checked by your retailer or service technician.
- Brake adjustment is carried out by releasing the locking nut and turning the adjuster.
- To loosen the brake, turn in a clockwise direction.
- To tighten the brake, turn in a counter clockwise direction.
Folding/ Un-folding
- To fold the rollator, lift the seat up and pull up on the handle.
- Lift up the backrest for a more compact fold.
- If a more narrow fold is required. remove the star knobs that hold the handles and rotate the handles.
- To Un-fold, lift the seat and push down on the handle.
- Push down the backrest if required.
- Reposition the handles if necessary
Wheels
- The Flexi rollator is fitted with lightweight puncture proof PU wheels.
- Prior to use, ensure the wheels are rolling straight and have not become damaged or loosened during use or transport.
Stepper Device
- Your Flexi rollator is fitted with stepper devices on each rear leg.
- The steppers are fitted to assist in lifting the front wheels over an obstacle.
- To operate push down on the stepper with your foot and lift up on the handles.
Walking Stick Holder
- Your Flexi rollator is fitted with a walking stick holder.
- It also has a velcro strap at the top of ther frame to hold the sick in place.
Use
Walking
- Familiarise yourself with the operations and functions of your rollator When using your rollator for the first time, please do
- so in the presence of an assistant where possible. When using the rollator stay as close to the rollator
- as comfortable. Walk inside the rollator, NOT behind it. This will help
- to aid good posture and reduce tipping risk.
- take small steps and do not push the rollator too far ahead.
Sitting
The flexi rollator is fitted with a seating platform.
The locking brakes must be applied whenever the seat is in use.
Apply brakes prior to sitting.
Release brakes after standing.

User check
- Visual check of the rollator
- Check the rollator feels stable and is fully secure into position prior to use.
- Ensure the brakes are operating before every use.
- If the rollator rolls with the brakes applied, the rollator is not safe to use. Seek assistance of a
technician.
Ensure there are no unfamiliar noises coming from the rollator as it moves.
