INSTRUCTION MANUAL
CONTACT GRILL

SAFETY CAUTIONS
READ THESE SAFETY PRECAUTIONS CAREFULLY BEFORE USING THE UNIT!
CAUTION: The plastic bags used to cover the unit or packaging may be
dangerous. To avoid all risk of suffocation, keep these bags out of the reach
of babies and children. These bags are not toys.
WARNING: Hot surface.
Do not touch hot surfaces
Allow the unit to cool before storing.
The temperature of accessible surfaces may be high when the appliance is
operating.
Do not touch the appliance while in use,use oven or protective gloves.
Do not place the appliance on or near a hot appliance.
Do not use heat sensitives surface or near inflammable materials.
Do not put anything on the grill when it is on.
Leave enough space between the grill and the walls or furniture. Do not place
the grill below wall-mounted kitchen elements.
Do not let cord hang over the edge of the work surface and do not let it touch
hot surfaces.
Do not immerse in water or an other liquid.
Always unplug the appliance after use and before cleaning.
Never leave the appliance unattended when plugged in.
Pull on the plug to unplug, never on the cord.
The grill should not be used with an external timer or with a separate remote
control system.
Do not use the appliance if it has fallen or if it appears damaged.
Stop using the machine immediately if the cord is damaged.
If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replace by the manufacturer, its
service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
Do not try to repair the appliance yourself.
Using any accessories not recommended or sold by our brand may cause a fire,
electrocution and risk of injury.
This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons
with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience
and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning
use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance
shall not be made by children unless they are older than 8 and supervised.
Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children less than 8 years.
Use this appliance for cooking only and follow the instructions in this
manual.
Do not use outdoors.
This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar applications
such as:
-staff kitchen areas in shops,offices and other working environments;
-farm houses:
-by clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environments;
bed and breakfast type environments.
DISCARDING ELECTRICAL AND ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT AT THE END OF LIFE
In everybody’s interest and to participate actively in protecting the
environment:
Do not discard these products with your household waste.
Use return and collection systems available in your country.
Some materials can in this way be recycled or recovered.
PRODUCT FEATURES
A. Before the first use
Before using for the first time, wipe the body of the appliance, the lid and the controls with a damp cloth. Wash the plates, the drip tray and the scraping/ cleaning tool in hot soapy water or in the dishwasher. Refer to the section”Cleaning and Storage” for more information.
B. Installing the cooking plates
Place the appliance on a clean, flat and dry surface. The control panel should be facing you.
Grill plates: ridged surface ideal for grilling steaks, hamburgers, chicken
and vegetables. Also suitable for making paninis.
Griddle plates: smooth surface ideal for preparing pancakes, eggs, finely
sliced meats, fish and shellfish.Insert each into the small metal notches
located at the back of the base of the appliance.
Then press each plate in until it is firmly in place.
To remove the plates, press the release button for the plates located on the
side of the appliance. Then pull the plates towards you.
Important: The end of pre-heating period is indicated by the lights stopping
GRILL/ PANINI POSITION
Insert the plates with the grill side facing up. Select the mode by turning the middle knob to the right. Select the desired cooking temperature using the right knob.
The light will go on the unit has reached the selected temperature. Place the food the lower plate then close the grill. The distance between the two cooking plates will adjust automatically to the thickness of the food.
PLAT POSITION
Insert the plates with the smooth, non-stick side facing up then open the 180
position by pulling the button on the side of the handle. the selection knob
to the left to the mode. Select the cooking temperature using the left knob.
The indicator will go on when the unit has reached the selected temperature,
the food evenly on the plates.
BARBECUE OPTION
Insert the plates with the grill facing up and open into the 180 position by pulling the button on the side of the handle. Select e mode by turning the middle knob to the left. Select the desired cooking temperature using the left knob.
The indicator light will go on when the unit has reached the selected temperature. Place the food evenly on the plates.
COMBINED OPTION
Insert one of each of the plates in the appliance and open the grill into the 180 position by pulling the button on the side of the handle. Select the mode by turning the middle knob to the left. Select the desired cooking temperature using the left knob.
The indicator light will go on when the unit has reached the selected temperature. Place the food evenly on the plates.
D. Installing the drip tray
At the back of the appliance base there is slot for the drip tray. Slide the
drip tray from right to left into this slot.
The fats and juices from cooking the foods flow over the plates and collected
in the drip tray.
Empty the drip tray after the grill has cooled completely.
The drip tray can be washed in the dishwasher.
Operation
You can start cooking after the grill plates are properly assembled, insert the power plug into the correct voltage plug, and then the light ring of the “ON/OFF” button flashes to indicate that is power on.
If you plan to use the grill as a touch grill, panini press or full grill, control the grill/panini press to the desired temperature for cooking.
If you plan to use the grill as a complete (grill plate), control the contact grill to the desired temperature for cooking. The setting range is from 140°F to 464°F (60°C to 240°C)
If you plan to use the grill as a half grill, you can use the temperature of Barbecue/panini press/grill. You don’t need to use all the grill plates, just use the lower plate of the appliance.
It may take up to 10 minutes of warm-up to reach the target temperature, depending on the temperature setting level. The appliance is ready to cook after the green indication light on in the controller illuminates. During operation, the light will continue to turn on and off as the thermostat regulates the temperature. This is normal. The temperature control is used to set and keep the temperature of the surface of the cooking plates.During cooking, you can change temperature of the control rotary knob at any time, which depends on the type of food on the cooking plates.
Be careful when handling grill plates during cooking, as the shells of the grill plates will become hot during use. If you need to open the grill plate, please grasp the black plastic area of the handle, which is kept at room temperature during cooking. The handles are made of die-cast aluminum, which gets hot and do not touch them during cooking or immediately after cooking. The lid is made of stainless steel and can get very hot. Please do not touched during or after cooking. If you need to adjust the lid, be sure to use oven gloves to prevent burns.
The lower case is made of plastic and can get very hot. If you need to move the grill plates during cooking, make sure to move it from the base, While wearing oven gloves and not touching the lid. Allow grill plates to cool down(at least 30 minutes) before handing.
1. Standby mode: After the plug is insert to the power supply, the power switch is not pressed, and the display is ready to power on(one long beep). The display screen shows full screen and flashes three times. Then, there is no display on the screen.
2.Working mode: After pressing the power switch , the product enters the working mode. At this time, the product waits for the user to give specific requirements. The display screen is all bright and waiting for the user to select; Now describe the clockwise and counterclockwise knobs, In the menu selection mode, turn the knob clockwise, the icons will display circularly from left to right, they are: MED RARE. MED. MED WELL, WELL DONE, chicken breast, sandwich, sausage, fish, bacon, bell pepper, (manual mode: upper plate, Lower plate, upper and lower plate); Counterclockwise is the opposite from right to left. The display will display in the opposite direction. Under the temperature selection in manual mode, clockwise rotation is the temperature display from low to high (80-90-100-. ..240), Counter-clockwise is the opposite from high to left.
3. Manual mode: after pressing the power switch, the display screen show full screen, the user wants to enter the manual model, just turn the knob to the left to set the temperature of the upper and lower plates. The upper and lower disk icons on the display screen will flash , press the knob to enter the temperature setting, then turn the knob, the temperature can be set to the user want .
4. If you need to set different temperatures with upper and lower disks. In the standby mode, turn the knob counterclockwise twice . When a single disk is displayed, press the knob to enter the the temperature setting, and continue to turn the knob. Again, turn the knob clockwise, temperature will be set from low to high. After temperature is selected, press the knob for 3 seconds .
The temperature program will go to the next panel and the “lower plate” icon will flash, after selected temperature, touch the knob to enter the working program; Reaching the temperature during work, keep it in the temperature difference of ±20 degrees within the designed temperature range (the temperature of the first punch will be different, and there will be food on the plate, and the temperature will also be different) there will be a beep when the program is operated (Reminder: This product has no time setting, so the default time of the program is 60 minutes.
5. Customized mode: Plug in and press the “ON/OFF” button , and the display screen is will all power on. If you want to use the customized mode, just turn the knob clockwise and the display icon will start from the doneness of the steak, then enter other customized programs to switch the display, when the programs you want, for example: when the chicken menu is selected, the light flashes and the temperature of the upper and lower plate is displayed on the screen . Then press the “OK” and the “PREHEAT” light is on; the preheat procedure will be finished with an indicator light and meanwhile the “ADD FOOD” .
When lift the handle, open the upper plate, put the food on the plate, and close. Press the “OK” , the program will automatically start working. If you need to pause or stop the appliance during cooking, just press the “OK” or the “ON/OFF” button again.
6. About the use of the food probe: the food probe normally place in the probe box. When you use it, you need to be pulled out, and then connected between the audio head of the probe and audio jack. Then select the steak program. In the function, the temperature detected by the food probe will be switched in the upper plate temperature display box.

8. ADVICE FROM CHEFS
To preserve the non-stick quality of the cooking plates, do not let them remain heated and not in use for too long and do not use abrasives to clean.
Use wooden or heat-resistant plastic utensils to turn your food and avoid cutting it on the plates.
Cut the food evenly to obtain even cooking.
With practice, you will become accustomed to the cooking times and settings necessary to cook food to taste.
Prepare spice-based marinades or condiments for your meat or fish; grilled foods will be fragrant and flat-cooked foods more tender.
If you grilled fish or shellfish on the plates, rub a little lemon juice on them with a cloth, this will prevent the characteristic odour from remaining on the plates the next time you use them.
9. CLEANING AND STORAGE
When you have finished cooking, turn the button to” O” and unplug the
appliance.
Allow the appliance to cool completely (minimum 1/2 hour) before cleaning it.
Use the cleaning tool to remove food residues that remain on the cooking plates.
Discard fat that has run into the drip cup.
Remove the plates from the appliance by pressing the ejection buttons.
The cleaning tool, drip cup and plates can be washed in hot, soapy water or in the dishwasher.
Do not use metal objects such as a knife or fork, or abrasive sponges or cleaning products that could damage the coating.
To clean the housing, lid and handle of the appliance, use a damp cloth and a little soft detergent. Do not use abrasive sponges or products.
Cleaning the appliance regularly prevents substantial build-up. The grill remains easy to clean and it will continue to perform properly.
Before storing your grill, put the plates and the drip tray back in position, close the lid then windthe cable around the hooks intended for this purpose.
10. WHAT DO I DO IF:
ANSWERS
The appliance smokes the first time use it?
It’s normal for the appliance to smoke a little during the first use. Clean with a damp cloth before turning it on.
The appliance turns itself off?
Check that the middle control is not in the”stand-by” position and that the
plugged in.
It is possible that the appliance has overheated. Unplug the appliance and cool for at least 15 minutes. Turn it on as usual and start your cooking again.
The food does not cook?
Check the plug is firmly in the outlet and that the cooking mode has been selected
The barbecued food does not sear, it is difficult to cook?
Check that the selected temperature or the cooking mode are appropriate for the food.
I have different kinds of food to be cooked?
Use the grill in the flat position (Plat, barbecue or combined position) and cook each food on a different plate, this way the flavours of the foods will not mingle.
A little cooking juice leaks onto the body of the appliance?
Wait until the appliance has cooled completely then wipe with a hot damp Never immerse the base of the appliance in water.
There’s a lot of smoke during cooking?
Avoid using too much grease when cooking. Fat releases smoke. Use a brush to grease dry foods.
