GENERAL SAFETY BULLETIN FOR POWER TOOLS

KTYU 3 in 1 Cordless Weed Wacker - Instruction Manual
1 WARNING! Read all warnings and all instructions。 Failure to follow the warnings and instructions below can result in electric shock, fire, or serious injury. Keep all warnings and instructions for reference. In all warnings below, the term “power tool” refers to both mains powered (corded) and lithium battery powered (cordless) power tools.
General Power Tool Safety Warning – Workplace Safety

  1. Keep your workplace clean and bright. Messy and dark sites can cause accidents.

  2. Do not operate power tools in explosive environments, such as those with flammable liquids, gases or dusts.
Sparks from power tools can ignite dust or gas, creating an electric shock hazard.

  3. Keep children and bystanders away from power tools. Inattentiveness can cause the operator to lose control of the tool.

General Power Tool Safety Warning – Electrical Safety

  1. Power tool plugs must be matched to the socket or battery packs must be matched to the machine. Plugs or battery packs must never be modified in any way, and no adapter plugs can be used for power tools that require grounding. Using unmodified plugs and matching sockets/unmodified battery packs and matching machines will reduce the risk of electric shock.
  2. Avoid human contact with grounded surfaces such as pipes, heat sinks and refrigerators. If you physically ground yourself it will increase the risk of electric shock.
  3. Do not expose power tools to rain or wet conditions. Water entering the power tool will increase the risk of electric shock.
  4. Do not abuse electrical cords. Never carry, pull, or unplug power tools with electrical cords.Never carry, pull, or unplug power tools by their cords.Keep cords away from heat, oil, sharp edges ormoving parts. Damaged or tangled cords can increase the risk of electric shock.
  5. Do not abuse electrical cords. Never carry, pull or unplug a power tool by its cord. Keep cords away from heat, oil, sharp edges or moving parts. Damaged or tangled cords increase the risk of electric shock.
  6. If operation of the power tool in a wet environment is unavoidable, use a residual current action protector (RCD).
The use of an RCD will reduce the risk of electric shock.

General Power Tool Safety Warning – Personal Safety

  1. Stay alert, pay attention to what you are doing when operating power tools and stay awake. Do not operate power tools when you are tired, or when you are having a reaction to drugs, alcohol or treatment. Momentary negligence  while operating a power tool can result in serious personal injury.
  2. Use personal protective equipment. Always wear goggles. Safety devices such as dust masks, non-slip safety shoes, helmets, hearing protection, etc. in appropriate conditions can reduce personal injury.
  3. Prevents accidental starting. When the switch is connected to the power supply or battery compartment, make sure the switch is in the OFF position when picking up or handling the tool. Fingers on a switch that is powered on or plugged in when the switch is on may cause a hazard.
  4. Remove all adjustment keys or wrenches before powering on the power tool. Wrenches or keys left on rotating parts of the power tool can cause personal injury. Do not extend your hands too far and always be aware of your foothold and body balance. This gives you good control of the power tool in the event of an accident. Dress appropriately. Do not wear loose clothing or accessories.Keep clothing, gloves and hair away from moving parts. Loose clothing, accessories or long hair may get caught in moving parts.
  5. If devices are provided for connection to chip removal devices and dust collection equipment, make sure they are well connected and used properly. The use of these devices can reduce the risk of dust and debris.

General power tool safety warningsPower tool use and precautions

  1. Don’t abuse power tools; use the proper power tool for the purpose. Choosing a properly designed power tool will make you work more efficiently and safely.
  2. If the switch does not turn on or off the power to the tool, the power tool should not be used. Power tools that cannot be controlled by a switch are dangerous and must be repaired.
  3. Before making any adjustments, replacing accessories or storing the power tool, it must be unplugged from the power source and/or the battery compartment must be disconnected from the tool. This protective measure will reduce the risk of accidental start-up of the tool.
  4. Store unused power tools out of the reach of children and do not allow anyone unfamiliar with the power tool or ignorant of these instructions to operate the power tool. Power tools are dangerous in the hands of untrained users.
  5. Maintain power tools. Check that moving parts are not adjusted in place or stuck, and check for broken parts and other conditions that affect the operation of the power tool. If damaged, power tools should be repaired before use; many accidents are caused by poorly maintained power tools.
  6. Keep cutting tools sharp and clean. A well maintained tool with a sharp cutting edge is less likely to jam and easier to control. Use power tools, accessories and tool bits according to the instruction manual, taking into account the operating conditions and the work to be performed.Using power tools for operations that are not compatible with their intended use may be hazardous.

General Power Tool Safety Warning – Repair

  1. Send your power tool to a professional repairer to be repaired using the same spare parts. This will ensure the safety of the power tool being repaired.
  2. If the power cord must be replaced, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or agent in order to avoid danger.

BATTERY AND CHARGER INSTRUCTIONS

Warning!
To avoid safety hazards, always ensure that the reversing toggle is in the center position when installing or removing the battery pack, which will lock the switch and prevent accidental triggering. Please note that the battery pack is only partially charged upon delivery. To maximize the battery’s power, it must be fully charged using the charger before its first use. *Installing or removing the battery pack

  1. Install the battery pack
As illustrated in the figure below, when inserting the battery pack, make sure to insert it correctly. Please ensure that you hear a “click” sound, which indicates that the battery pack is securely installed in the machine. If not properly installed, the battery pack may accidentally fall out of the case, which could lead to injuries to the operator or others. Also, avoid using excessive force or tapping with other objects when inserting the battery pack.KTYU 3 in 1 Cordless Weed Wacker - Batteery pack* Note: Only the specified model of battery pack can be used. • KTYU 3 in 1 Cordless Weed Wacker - OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS 1Do not let the spool touch the ground when using the mower. The spool touching the ground may cause damage to the mower by overloading the motor, and also damage the mowing rope.KTYU 3 in 1 Cordless Weed Wacker - OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS 2

  • Never attempt to mow tall grass from the roots in one pass and never use the mower in overly dense grass. Mowing tall grass near the roots in one pass may cause the mower motor spindle to become entangled in the grass, causing motor overload and eventual damage to the mower.
    Startup Tools

  • Ensure that no children or other persons are within 15m (50 feet) of the work area and that the work area is free of any other animals. Otherwise, stop using the tool.

USE THIS TOOL AS A TRIMMER
