General Safety Code for Power Tools
Read all warnings and all instructions. Failure to follow the warnings and instructions below can result in electric shock and fire or serious injury, and save all warnings and instructions for review.
The term power tool in all of the following warnings refers to either an electrically powered corded power tool or a battery operated cordless power tool.

  1. Workplace Safety
    a. Keep the work site clean and bright; messy and dark sites can cause accidents.
    b. Do not operate power tools in explosive environments, such as those with flammable liquids, gases, or dust. Sparks from power tools can ignite dusts or gases.
    c. Operate power tools after children and bystanders are removed. Inattentiveness can cause the operator to lose control of the tool.

  2. Electrical Safety
    a. Power tool plugs must be mated to the socket. Never modify the plug in any way. Power tools that require grounding cannot use any adapter plugs, and unmodified plugs and mating sockets will reduce the risk of electric shock.
    b. Avoid human contact with grounded surfaces, such as pipe fins and refrigerators. If your body is grounded it will increase the risk of electric shock.
    c. Do not expose power tools to rain or moisture. Water entering the power tool will increase the risk of electric shock.
    d. Do not abuse electrical cords. Never use the cord to carry or pull a power tool or unplug it.
Keep power tools away from hot oil, sharp edges, or moving parts. Damaged or tangled cords can increase the risk of electric shock
. When using power tools outdoors, use an external cord that s suitable for outdoor use.
A cord that is suitable for outdoor use will reduce the risk of electric shock non-slip safety shoes, helmets, hearing protection, etc. can reduce personal injury when used under appropriate conditions.
    c. Prevent accidental start-up by ensuring that the switch is in the off position when conn- ected to the power supply or battery box, picking up o carrying tools. Fingers on a switch that has been powered on or plugged in when the switch is on may cause a hazard,
    d. Remove all adjusting keys or wrenches before the power tool is turned on. Wrenches or keys left on rotating parts of the power tool can cause personal injury.
Do not extend your hands too far and always be aware of your foothold and balance. This allows for good control of the power tool in the event of an accident
f . Dress appropriately and do not wear loose clothing or accessories. Keep clothing, gloves and hair away from moving parts. Loose clothing and accessories or long hair may become entangled in moving parts.
g.If devices are provided for connection to chip collection equipment, make sure they are well connected and used properly. Use of these devices can reduce the risk of dust and debris.

  3. Use of power tools and precautions
Do not abuse power tools. Use the appropriate power tool for the purpose and choose a properly designed power tool that will make your work more efficient and safer.
b If the switch does not turn on or off the power to the tool, the power tool should not be used. Power tools that cannot be controlled by a switch are dangerous and must be repaired,
    c. Before making any adjustments, changing accessories, or storing the power tool, it must be unplugged from the power source or the battery compartment must be disconnected from the tool. This protective measure will reduce the risk of accidental startup of the power tool,
    d. Store unused power tools out of the reach of children and do not allow anyone unfamiliar with the power tool, or who does not understand these instructions, to operate the power tool, which is dangerous in the hands of untrained users.

Rechargeable chain saw safety warning

  1. When the chain saw is in working condition, keep all parts of the body at a certain distance from the chain saw. Before starting the chain saw, keep the chain away from any objects Even a momentary distraction during operation of the chain saw may result in clothing or body being caught in the chain,
  2. Always hold the rear handie of the chain saw with your right hand and the front handle of the chain saw with your left hand; holding the chain saw with both hands upside down also increases the risk of personal injury. Therefore, do not use your left hand to grip the back handle and your right hand to grip the front handie.
  3. Because the chain may come into contact with hidden electrical wires, only hold the insulated handle when operating the tool. I the chain comes in contact with live wires, the exposed metal parts of the tool may also be live and the operator may be electrocuted.
  4. wear safety glasses and ear protection. It is recommended that further protective equipment be worn to protect the head, hands, legs, feet, etc. Wearing adequate protective clothing will reduce personal injury from flying debris or accidental contact with the chain.
  5. Do not operate the chain saw in a tree. Operating a chain saw in a tree may cause personal injury.
  6. Make sure to stand firmly on a secure and level surface before operating the chain saw, slippery or unstable surfaces such as ladders may cause loss of balance or loss of control of the chain saw,
  7. when cutting branches under tension, please be dlert to the occurrence of bouncing, when releasing the tension on the wood fiber, the elasticity on the branch may impact the operator, or the chain saw cause it to lose control.
  8. when cutting shrubs and young trees, be especially careful of thin material that may snag the chain and strike itself or cause it to become unbalanced
  9. Before carrying the chain saw, you must close the chain saw and hold the front handle tightly to keep it at a certain distance from your body, when transporting or storing the chain saw, be sure to cover the guide plate cover, proper operation of the chain saw will reduce the possibility of accidental contact with the running chain.
  10. Lubricate, tension the chain, and replace accessories according to instructions. Improperly tensioning or lubricating the chain may cause it to break or increase the likelihood of bouncing
  11. keep the handle dry, clean, and free of oil and grease. Greasy handles are prone to slippage resulting in loss of control of the tool.
  12. Use only for cutting wood. Do not use the chain saw for purposes other than those for which it was designed. For example, do not use the chain saw for cutting plastic, stone or non-wood construction materials, as using the chain saw for operations other than those for which it was designed will result in hazardous conditions.

Causes of tool bounce and precautions for the operator

  1. If the head of the guide touches an object or wood pinches and squeezes the chain while cutting, it may cause a bounce to ocour.
  2. sometimes the head of the guide touches an object and creates a sudden reaction force, which bounces the guide and rushes towards the operator.
  3. squeezing the chain along the top of the guide may push the guide back to the operator quickly. Any of these reaction forces may cause the chain saw to lose control and cause serious personal injury.
  4. Do not rely solely on the safety equipment fitted to the chain saw.
  5. as a chain saw user, you should take a variety of measures to prevent accidents or personal injury during cutting operations.
  6. tool mishandling, incorrect operating procedures or operating conditions will result in a rebound. Observe the cautions described below. a.
