This user manual will help you assemble and operate your new electric bicycle.
Be sure to read ALL OF THE INFORMATION in this manual before riding.
NOTE TO ALL RIDERS UNDER 18 YEARS OF AGE:
It’s very important that you get parental permission before riding your
electric bicycle.
Don’t Ride Until You Read This
- ALWAYS wear a helmet when riding your electric bike.
- Make sure your electric bike has a full battery before taking it out to ride.
- Always be aware of local road laws, and follow them.
- Do not ride the bike under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
- Always respect pedestrians.
- Do not ride under wet conditions. The electric bike may slide from under your feet causing injury. Wet conditions may damage the electronics and void the warranty.
Warning Message
- Avoid water- The electric bike is not waterproof. The electronics may be damaged due to water and water damage is not covered by our warranty. Riding in wet conditions is also very dangerous and may result in injury.
- Avoid prolonged exposure to sun or rain and avoid storage in places with high temperatures or corrosive gas.
- Abuse -We do not cover physical damage due to negligent care and extreme riding.
- Whenever you ride the GOTRAX Electric Bike, you risk severe injury or even death from loss of control, collisions, and falls. Use caution and ride at your own risk.
- Do not modify the product from the manufacturers original design.
- Do not exceed the posted speed limit and obey all traffic laws.
- Avoid touching the charging port directly and do not let it make contact with a metal object.
- Keep hands and all body parts away from moving parts while operating the electric bike.
- Before riding- be sure to check the electric bike over and make sure the electric bike is operating correctly before each use.
- Before riding- be sure to check that the braking system is functioning properly; also be sure to check that all safety labels are in place and you understand the safety warnings.
- Before riding- be sure that any and all axle guards, chain guards, or other covers or guards supplied by the manufacturer are in place and in serviceable condition.
- Before riding- be sure to check that the tires are in good condition,inflated properly,and have sufficient tread remining.
- Never exceed the 264 lb (120 kg) maximum load rating.
- The electric bike should never be used by children under the age of 16.
- Maximum Speed – Your electric bike goes the maximum speed of 15.5 mph.
- Make note that additional insurance may be required to cover situations you encounter while riding an electric bike. It is recommended that you contact an insurance company or broker for advice and consultation.
- To conserve electricity, use assist mode and avoid zero starting, frequent braking, driving against the wind, carrying heavy loads including other people and riding with insufficient air pressure.
Unpacking and Product Specification
Remove all packaging material, then inspect each item for any accidental damage that may have occurred during shipping.You should find each of these items in your box:

Installing the Handlebar
- Loosen the screw of the handlebar stem first, and then turn the handlebar stem forward and lock the screws, as shown in the following figure:
- Remove the screws of the stem first, and put the handlebar on the stem.
- Use tools to remove the screws from the handlebar fastener.
- Center the handlebars and adjust their angles (Ensure best control and grip of your bike when riding).
- Install back the handlebar fastener and tighten the screws.
Adjusting the Seat Tube
- Loosen the quick-release screw and push the saddle down into the seat post.
- Adjust the height of the seat according to your needs and tighten the quick-release screw.
Note:
Introduction of quick-release screw: Push the quick-release outward to unlock
the handle, rotate the quick-release clockwise to tighten the handle, rotate
it anticlockwise to loosen the handle,and then pull the quick-release inward
to lock the handle.
Front mudguard assembly steps
- Prepare fender and screws.
- Prepare alien wrench.
- Assemble the fender and front light frame to the position of the front frok mounting hole, then lock them with the locking screws.
- Lock the fender frame to the front fork mounting hole with screws.
Installing the front wheel
- Find the front wheel quick-release locking bolt from the toolkit.
- Remove the transportation fixing plastic sheet from the front wheel.
- Align the brake disc of the front wheel with the brake groove, and then slowly install the wheel into the front fork.
- lnsert the quick-release screw into the front wheel axis. Please note that the screw is equipped with two springs. Install one spring on each side of the wheel axis and tighten the screws. And then pull the quick-release screw inward to fix it. The specific installation is as follows:
Mounting Pedal
- Please check the Land R marks on pedals.
- Take the wrench from the tool box.
- Tighten the pedal counterclockwise on the left.
- Tighten the pedal clockwise.
Removing the Battery
- Open the battery key
- Pull out the seatpost first. Then remove the battery.
Turn on/off the battery power
- The battery is power off when receive.
- Please switch the key to “on”to turn the battery on.
Charge Your E-Bike
Method 1
Before using the electric bike, you must fully charge the battery.
- Locate the charging port on the left side of the frame on the removable battery.
- Plug the charger into a power supply.
- A red light indicates the battery is charging, green indicates the battery is full.
- Charging Time: 5-6 hours.
Method 2
- Remove the battery charger from the e-bike.
- Locate the charging port near the top of the battery.
- A red light indicates the battery is charging, green indicates the battery is full.
E-Bike Console Functions
- Casing Material: ABS
- Display Material: High hardness acrylic (the same hardness value as tempered glass) Display Includes: Speed, battery, error indication and mileage
- Control and Settings: Power switch, wheel diameter, idle time for auto-hibernation, back light brightness setting, start mode setting, drive mode setting, voltage level setting, controller current limit setting
- Communications Protocol: UART
Instruction:
- Press and hold the “M” button to turn on the device in the off state, keep holding the “M” button to turn off in the power-on state, or automatically switched off after 10 minutes of inactivity.
- In the power-on state, keep holding the “+” button to turn on the headlight, and keep holding again to turn off the headlight.
- Press “+” button to shift up, press “-” to shift down (The default gear is neutral when the power on, you need to shift up to output power)
- To activate the push-assist function (5-6KM/H), keep holding “-” button in the power-on state.
- When the e-bike is riding, hold the accelerator and “-” button to active the Cruise control mode (E-bike will cruise at the current speed)
- Keep holding both “+” and “-” buttons to enter the settings interface. P01 is backlight brightness settings, P02 is the unit KM/MPH conversion, press the “+” or “-” button to set, after the setting is completed, press “M” button to switch to the next setting. P16 is the ODO and trip distance, keep holding the “+” button to reset to zero (other parameters are for reference only and cannot be adjusted). After setting, keep holding the “+” and “-” at the same time to exit the setting interface, or auto- matically exit after 10 seconds of inactivity
- Press the “M” button to switch the parameter display of ODO, TRIP, VOL, CUR, and TI.
- Keep holding “M” and “+” buttons at the same time to switch the current speed display, real-time speed, maximum speed, and average speed.
Function Mode:
- Three Riding Modes: Electric Assisted Mode, Push-Assisted Mode, Bicycle Mode.
- Electric Assisted Mode: The default gear is neutral, you need to shift up to the first gear or above, and then press the accelerator, the motor will accelerate, release the accelerator, and slow down.
- Push-Assisted Mode: The default gear is neutral, you need to shift up to the first gear or above, and then step the pedal to turn on the assistance. (The assisted speed is different in each gear).
- Bicycle Mode: When riding in the off state or neutral, the motor has no power output.
