What should I do if I could not get 4k resolution?

The possible reasons are:

  1. The defective hdmi/dp cable.
  2. The outdated gpu driver, bios or thunderbolt 3/4 driver.
  3. You might connect dual monitors and the type-c port support dp 1.2.

(Under such condition, wavlink device could support dual 1080p@60hz monitors) Please kindly try the steps below to check if this could help.

  1. Try to change another hdmi/dp cable.
  2. Try to upgrade the bios, gpu driver and thunderbolt 3/4 driver of the laptop.
  3. If the type-c port of your laptop support dp 1.2, please connect one monitor only.

What should I do if one or more video ports of the wavlink device stop

working as expected?

Please try the steps below to reset the docking.

  1. Disconnect docking station from host machine and power adapter.
  2. Leave unplugged for 1 minute for power to dissipate.
  3. Connect docking station initially into power only and connect the docking to the laptop.
  4. If the above steps do not change the behavior, rebooting the host system may restore functionality.

If this still could not help, please try the steps below for troubleshooting.

  1. If possible, please test the docking with another laptop and check if the same thing happen. (To rule out the problem of the host environment)
  2. Please disconnect all the usb peripherals, power adapter from the docking and connect the monitor only to the docking then check if the same thing happen. (To rule out out the problem of the usb peripherals)
  3. Please connect the monitor to the laptop/pc directly and check if the monitor work as expected. (To rule out the problem of the video cable and the monitor)
  4. Please try to upgrade the bios, gpu driver and thunderbolt 3/4 driver if possible.

What should I do if one or more usb ports of the docking could not work

as expected?

Please try the steps below to reset the docking.

  1. Disconnect docking station from host machine and power adapter

What should I do if the wavlink device could not charge my laptop?

  1. Make sure the type-c port of the laptop support charging. If you are not sure, please be free to contact us or the laptop manufacturer.
  2. Try to upgrade the bios or thunderbolt 3/4 driver.
  3. Please make sure the power adapter support power delivery protocols, and you could try to use a power adapter which support more wattage. For better performance, we suggest you could try to the type-c power adapter which support 100w power delivery.
