Deadbolt Compatibility

BOSMA Aegis Lock works with most single cylinder deadbolts – a slot for a key on only one side. If you are unsure which door lock brand you have or if you have a unique lock, please contact us and send a photo of your door lock with its dimensions. We will be happy to help.

Please refer to the folllowing images to identify the type of your door lock:

Compatible Single-Cylider Deadbolt:

• A keyhole on the outside of the door
• Athumb turn on the inside of the door
• Separate from the handle above or below

Aegis is NOT currently compatible with:

• Double Cylinder deadbolts (key hole on both outside and inside of the door)
• Mortise locks
• Rim Cylinder
• Integrated Lock & Handles
• Medeco, Mul-t-Lock or single sided deadbolts

Door Compatibility

To ensure you find the right fit, please carefully check the dimensions of the Aegis Lock.
Measure your door’s backset and confirm the clearance for installation.
Door Frame: Wood (Metal door is not recommended)
Aegis Dimensions: 3.5″ (H) x 3.5″ (W) x 2.6″ (D)

Swing Out of the home: The minimum distance between center of the crossbore hole and edge of jamb is 1.97 in. to avoid hitting the door.
Swing Into the home: No minimum distance required.

WiFi Compatibility

Bosma Aegis Lock Gateway needs to be set up with a 2.4GHz network running a minimum of WPA or WPA2 security. 5GHz network is NOT supported.
