Cradle (Horizontal Mount)
The scanner and the cradle are paired before shipping Before pairing other scanners, disconnect or power off the paired scanner and scan the pairing barcode in the cradle. Replug the data cable in Bluetooth Dongle. mode.
Connecting the Cradle to the Host with USB Cable
Note: The power jack and data port are located at the bottom of cradle as shown below.

Cradle-Wall Mount & Battery Maintenance
Install the two plastic wall anchors in a wall and use screws to secure the plate to the wall with its A side facing the wall. Slide the vertical cradle onto the plate
- Replacement of a battery with an incorrect type that can defeat a safeguard (for example, in the case of some lithium battery types).
- Disposal of a battery into fire or a hot oven, or mechanically crushing or cutting of a battery, that can result in an explosion.
- Leaving a battery in an extremely high temperature surrounding environment that can result in an explosion or the leakage of flammable liquid or gas.
- A battery subjected to extremely low air pressure that may result in an explosion or the leakage off flammable liquid or gas.
- Risk of fire or explosion if the battery is replaced by an incorrect type.

- Windows7 and the below version doesn’t support Bluetooth HID.
- Insert USB cable of the cradle and scan Enter Setup barcode before changing setting. Scan the Exit Setup barcode after all changes are made,
- Pairing: Turn on Bluetooth in the host and search BSH32-XXXXXXX(the last 7 letters of the S/N number), click connected. Beep and blue LED on indicate the connection success.
- Pull out the USB cable before switching from Bluetooth Dongle to Bluetooth Mode.

Troubleshooting
When the scanner is not working, please:
- Check for loose cable connections. Make sure only supplied cables are used and all cable connections are secure.
- Ensure the barcode is not defaced. Wrinkled, soiled or torn barcodes might be unreadable. Try scanning the known readable barcode to verify the reading function of the scanner.
- Find out the barcode type and ensure the barcode type is enabled.
- Ensure the cradle is programmed for the correct host interface.
- Ensure the scanner is paired to the cradle.
- If the problem still persists, please contact your dealer or Star Micronics.
