Instructions
Replacement for Brita® Laica® and many other brands.
Place the filter into a bowl of clean cold
tap water, push gently down until submerged and bubbles of air are released.
Leave for 10 minutes. Fit the filter into your filter jug as per the
manufacturers instructions. Replace hopper and fill with cold water, allow to
filter through and discard. Repeat this step twice more.
Your filter is now ready to use.
It is advised that all filtered water is stored in the refrigerator and
discarded after 48 hours if not consumed.
Tested and Certified by NSF International against NSF/ANSI Standard 42 in model
ECF-7016XX-07BZ/ECF-7017XX-07BZ/ECF-7019XX-07BZ for the reduction of the
claims specified on the Performance Data Sheet, and to NSF/ANSI 372 (≤0.25%
lead).

The system has been tested and certified by the NSF International according to NSF/ANSI Standard 42 and NSF/ANSI Standards 372. The concentration of the indicated substances in water entering the system was reduced to a concentration less than or equal to the permissible limit for the water leaving the system, as specified by NSF/ANSI Standard 42. While testing was performed under standard laboratory conditions, actual performance may vary.

System to be used with municipal or well water sources treated and tested on
regular basis to ensure bacteriological safe quality. Do not use with water
that is microbiologically unsafe or of unknown quality without adequate
disinfection before or after the system.
Testing was performed under standard laboratory conditions, actual performance
may vary.
NOTE
All customers should try the filter WITHOUT fitting the VALVE INSERT on first
installation.
The VALVE INSERT is only required on a small number of jugs and fitting it when
not required may restrict or stop the flow.

How to fit the VALVE INSERT?
- Remove the old filter.
- Locate the flow restrictor.
- Insert the VALVE INSERT into the flow restrictor.
- Insert the filter and proceed as normal.
Note: Position the VALVE INSERT such that it aligns with the pitcher’s water outlet groove. Refer to the picture above.
