Variability of Noise Reduction as a Function of Noise Spectra
The hearing protector is intended to protect the wearer from hazardous noise levels. The wearer should ensure that the earplugs are fitted, adjusted and maintained in accordance with this Instruction Manual. Any other uses are not intended and therefore not allowed. Always wear the earplugs when in a noisy environment, without interruption. Slightly pull up your ear and with your other hand insert the earplug into the ear, until the protector fits snugly. Do not place the earplug too deep in the ear. Improper fi t, improper use or failure to follow the instructions of this device will decrease noise reduction effectiveness, increase the risk of hearing damage and affect the lifespan of the reusable earplugs. Alpine Hearing Protection is not liable for any damage arising from misuse. Check the working order of the earplugs regularly and store them in the original, clean packaging. Clean the earplugs regularly with mild soap and lukewarm water. Dry off after cleaning. The reusable earplugs can be used approximately 100 times. Sudden or rapid removal of hearing protection may cause damage to the eardrum. When this device is worn as directed, the level of noise entering a person’s ear is approximated by the differences between the A-weighted environmental noise level and the lesser and greater NRRs. Caution: For predominantly low frequency noise environments in which the difference in the measured C-weighted and A-weighted noise levels (dBCdBA) exceeds 3 dB, the user is directed to the enclosed graph of the variability of noise reduction with noise spectra to determine the level of protection. This product may be adversely affected by certain chemical substances. Further information should be sought from the manufacturer. Hereby, Alpine Hearing Protection, declares that the hearing protector SleepDeep is in compliance with the PPE regulation (EU) 2016/425.
