PROPOSED TOOLS FOR INSTALLATION:
- Large utility knife to cut between the stones
- Grout float
- Russian pliers or Rotary tool or Wet tile saw with diamond blade
HOW TO INSTALL 2X SUNWINGS STONE MOSAICS:
- Please ensure that the wall where you are installing the SpeedTiles is CLEAN. SMOOTH and NON-POROUS.
- STICKING TIP: Use a 500 ml to 750 ml bottle filled with water and add 1 to 2 tea spoon(s) of mild dishwashing liquid.
- Then find the highest countertop point and draw a level line from that point. This line will serve as a guide to install the first row of tiles.
- Place the tile (pre-cut if needed) with the stone side facing the countertop and remove the Sunwings protection paper. Spray a SMALL amount of soapy water mix on the adhesive and spread it with your hand over the whole surface. Adding soapy water will allow you to perfectly adjust the tile on the wall by delaying the bonding time.
- Once the tiles are in place, apply the grout of your choice following the manufacturer’s instructions.
BEFORE INSTALLING! It is highly recommended to inspect the tiles one by
one.
IMPORTANT! If you are using Sunwings made of natural stone in a place
where they are likely to get dirty, we suggest to protect the surface with an
appropriate sealant.
