Single Serve Coffee Maker 4in1 Espresso Machines

  1. About the cups height:
    KOTLIE 4-in-1 coffee maker mainly makes espresso, compatible with brewed American coffee, at the same time, in order to facilitate the carrying does not take up space, we have taken the ultimate small size, so in the size of the coffee cups we meet the  requirements of espresso, but also to meet the requirements of the American single-cup coffee. We design the limit height of the cup is not higher than 10cm (take off the drip tray), 350ML of the following large caliber cups, cup height of 9.5cm can be  completely applicable.

  2. About leakage:
    Mainly leakage of coffee powder and water
    —Reasons for the quality of the capsules
    When you use Nespresso, Dolce Gusto, Caffitaly, Lavazza A Modo MIO, Lavazza BLUE and K-Cup capsules, please buy capsules of major brands and make sure that the aluminum film on the surface of the capsule is not dented or torn, otherwise there is a  risk that the capsule may be cracked, the aluminum film may not be able to be pierced, the aluminum film may fall off, and so on, leading to leakage or jamming of the machine. The risk of leakage or stuck machine. Secondly, the size of capsules of the same  size may vary slightly depending on the brand, so please choose capsules of well-known brands, especially K-CUP capsules, which are available in a variety of sizes, and use KEURIG’s K-CUP large capsules!
    —Reasons for irregular use of coffee powder
    When using coffee powder, pay attention to use espresso powder as much as possible, too thick will accelerate the water flow and little coffee oils, too fine will clog the powder bowl and the top filter, increasing the risk of leakage and jamming the machine.  Pay attention to the amount of powder to 13-15 grams to fill the filter cup is appropriate, level coffee powder, appropriate strength pressure powder, otherwise it will lead to the lid can not be completely sealed, there is insufficient or too much pressure to  cause leakage of powder, leakage or even stuck dead machine and other phenomena.
    —Multiple pod design reasons
    The pods have drips, which is normal. Many big brand coffee makers, such as Delonghi’s capsule coffee makers also have drips, we just need to wait for 5-10 seconds for the drip to end. Secondly, when you take out the pods, there is a lot of water and coffee mixture inside the pods, which is normal. Other coffee makers have a single capsule design with fixed built-in pods, and water and used capsules are recycled into an internal organizer. The advantage is to automatically clean up the pods and used capsules, the disadvantage is that it is not compatible with a variety of capsules; and we are external pod design, the advantage is compatible with a variety of capsules, replacement and removal is more convenient!
    —Tank Seal and Pressure Relief Backwater Reasons
    The water tank is not properly placed and will leak out; secondly, every time you finish making coffee, the machine will release a lot of steam inside and usually this steam will flow back into the water tank. If you find water leaking out from the bottom of the machine, please dismantle the machine to check if the internal piping is detached, if so, please turn off the power and install it on.

  3. About the noise:
    Vibrations from making coffee and machine operation noise
    Noise–Different from American style coffee, we use 1450W high power boiler and 19Bar pressure imported water pump to ensure the coffee is extracted perfectly under the condition of 93℃ constant temperature and 19Bar constant pressure, especially for ground coffee, nespresso, lavazza, E.S.E Dolce Gusto, Caffitaly, which are rich in Crema. whereas Americano has only 3.5Bar pressure and mostly relies on hot water for brewing, so the machine is relatively quiet. Of course, we have compared our machines to those of the big brands, and the sound of our machines is almost identical to theirs, and meets industry standards. Vibration-As mentioned above our machine has a powerful and imported high pressure water pump, which is a core component necessary for all high-end coffee machines in the industry. Because we consider the use of portability and space saving, we do extreme design, lighter and more compact. It is recommended not to use it on smooth places such as marble, you can put a piece  of cotton cloth underneath or buy a coffee machine base.

  4. About the odor:
    Almost all capsule coffee makers are made of the same BPAfree material, even if they are made of stainless steel, they will still have some odor within the first week. Of course, we also use such material, naturally there is also a very small odor, but it is very little harm to the body, completely safe. For new machines, we recommend:
    –The first time you use it, load the pods, don’t put the capsules, and wash the machine with more hot water, which can minimize the odor and also preheat the machine.
    –If there is a concern, extract with coffee powder, then throw away the coffee liquid for three times, it will greatly reduce the odor and full of coffee aroma –Thereafter, before each use, in order to ensure the quality of the coffee, it is recommended to put  hot water once as a rule, and then put the capsule to use. Take care to wash the pod residue after use to avoid clogging the pods.

  5. About coffee volume and temperature:
    — In pursuit of the ultimate size to fit into smaller spaces and portability in the home, we have taken a more compact and safer boiler design solution, so it’s perfect for brewing espresso from 40-90ML for a single cup. For Americano, especially when it comes to K-CUP, our double-cup support capacity is 6-8OZ, but you can brew twice Or continue to press the large cup button and release the button until you have the desired coffee volume (min:15S, max:90S) and then to get more than 12OZ (see Coffee  Volume Setting in Article 7).,It’s very convenient.
    — Why the same capsule has a different capacity for each brew. Theoretically, there is no identical capsule in the world, even if it is the same batch and model. As a matter of fact, the subtle differences in the appearance of the capsule, the coarseness and  weight of the built-in ground coffee, as well as the temperature and humidity of the air, real-time changes in the machine, etc., all affect the temperature and capacity of the coffee, but the overall deviation is not very large, and even with delonghi’s machine,  there is a very small deviation.
    — Regarding the temperature, our lab data, the single cup espresso outlet temperature is 85℃. For the double cup K-CUP, the outlet temperature is 76℃, which also meets the standard. The temperature difference between single and double cups of coffee  is determined by the size of the boiler capacity, and also has a relationship with the coffee powder inside the capsule. Theoretically the size of the capsule, the coarseness and weight of the built- in coffee powder, as well as the temperature and humidity of  the air, real- time changes in the machine, etc.
    all affect the temperature and capacity of the coffee. If you have to have high requirements for the temperature of the Americano, it is recommended to drain the residual water in the pipe once before each brewing, and to use single cup extraction for two or  even three times in order to get more coffee capacity to drink the temperature.

  6. Regarding the cleaning of the machine:
    — It is recommended to clean the capsule coffee machine once in three months. Fill the water tank with citric acid, press and hold the small cup button, while plugging in the power supply, this time the power button and the small cup light up, press the small cup button to start cleaning, 120 seconds a cycle, effectively clean the scale, reduce the internal piping due to the deposition of scale clogging. Then add water, repeat the above steps, clean once.

  7. About machine customization settings
    —Coffee Volume Setting

    2)The machine is in normal working condition. Keep pressing the small cup button, then release the button till you get the coffee you want(Min:15S,Max:90S)
    Big Cup volume setting
    1) Put coffee cup under the coffee outlet
    2)The machine is in normal working condition. Keep pressing the big cup button, the release the button till you get the coffee you want(Min:15SMax:90S)
    —Factory Default setting: Standby Mode
    Time:15 mins
    It means the machine will be turned off after 15 inactive mins, and all the indicators lights will be off, To press the switch button to cancel the stand- by mode again if the machine is in Standby mode
    —Standby mode setting
    Keep pressing both the small cup button and big cup button, meanwhile insert the plug to the socket .Switch button light will be on Press small cup button, Small cup button light off, Standby mode canceled. Press small cup button, small cup button light on, standby mode activated
    —Factory Default Setting
    Because the large cup small cup button has a memory function, automatically defaults to the capacity of the last coffee, if other people set their own capacity, and you don’t want this capacity, you can follow the operation below to return to the factory settings, the factory settings of 24 seconds for small cups, 50 seconds for large cups Press the big cup button, and mean-while insert the plug to the socket. The Indicator light of buttons will Flash twice. It means the machine Come back to factory default setting

  1. hat is the sound of the machine when making coffee?

  5. First time to make coffee, feel the plastic flavor?

  8. What is the liquid volume for large and small cups? I want to increase the amount of coffee liquid, what should I do?

  10. I’m a little confused about when to make my large and small cups, what should I do?
    A: Due to the memory function of the large and small cups, the volume of each preparation defaults to the last coffee liquid volume.   11. After powering on the unit, the small and large cups are blinking and then stop blinking, what happens then?

  12. Why is the temperature of the coffee liquid not high when I just extracted it?

  13. After turning on the machine, you can hear the machine running but no water comes out?
    Please first check whether there is water in the water tank, if there is water, it may be because there is scale blockage inside the pipe, at this time, please unplug the power supply, remove the water tank, take out the hose in the accessories, inject a small amount of water into the water tank inlet, discharge the air in the pipeline, so that the pipeline is unobstructed, see the manual page 16 diagrams.

  14. The coffee machine has not been used for a long time, there is water in the water tank, I can hear the machine running sound, but no water flow?
    As a result of a long time without use, resulting in the internal pump and boiler dry, can not work, this time to remove the water tank, take out the accessories in the hose, to the water tank inlet into a small amount of water, until the top of the water tank  black hose with water can be flowed out, see the manual page 16 illustration.

  15. I use LOR small capsules to extract coffee, but no coffee liquid comes out, only water?
    Check the surface of the capsule for breaks and dents. The next reason is the capsule size. Due to the capsule has aluminum film and shell depression, broken or wrong size will lead to the machine needle can not penetrate the capsule inside, the water flow can not enter the internal coffee powder. Try replacing the capsule with another one. pods fits thight (depends on the brands). Just like illy, lavazza, and Tim’s nespresso pods and they all fits different.

  16. What capsules does our 513K coffee maker support?
    We support branded capsules such as Nespresso Original, Dolce Gusto large capsules, Caffitaly, Lavazza A Modo MIO, Lavazza BLUE, and KEURIG’s K-Cup large capsules, but other capsule sizes may have poor compatibility and some pods need to be  purchased separately.

  17. Why is it that when I make two consecutive cups of coffee with Nespresso capsules, the cup sizes are not the same?
    This is a normal phenomenon, there is no identical two cups of coffee in the world, even with the same material. Our single cup is designed at about 40-60ML, double cup at 80-120ml, it is possible that the first cup of single cup is 45ML, and the second cup  may be 55ML, which depends on the flow rate, pressure and temperature inside the coffee machine in a certain period of time, the high-end coffee machine is more accurate in these controls, but there will still be a deviation of about 8%.

  18. with K-Cup capsule coffee extraction, out of the coffee flavor is very bad, and there is coffee residue?
    It is possible that the space between the filter and the bottom inside the K-Cup capsule is too small resulting in the standard K-Cup capsule filter space accounted for 1/3 of the capsule, so that the bottom of the pods pinprick directly pierced the filter to contact the capsule above the coffee powder, with the release of the pressure, there will be coffee residue along with the liquid out of the cup. It is recommended to replace the brand of capsule coffee.
    Secondly, you may not be using KEURIG’s K-Cup large capsules, it is possible that KEURIG’s K-Cup has rounded capsules.

  19. I use K-Cup capsules, and long press large cup 90 seconds, only about 3 ounces of liquid?

  20. Why can’t KCUP capsules be pushed into the machine after being loaded with pods?

  21. the machine is overheated when used, the pods can not be taken out?
    Some of the large capsules, it is inevitable that some of the surface of the aluminum film and the shell of the depression and the capsule inside the filter space is not enough, as well as some of the coffee powder particles are too fine (recommended for 4-8 scale), too much or not filled with filter cups, not compacted and pressed, etc.,
    the above may cause the machine to overheat resulting in the machine jammed, pods can not be taken out, we have to disconnect the power supply, wait for the machine to completely become cold before you can We have to turn off the power and wait for  the machine to cool down completely before we can take out the pods.

  22. When using ground coffee, there is very little coffee liquid and the machine leaks?
    First of all, you have to check whether the amount of coffee powder is appropriate, usually you need about 14 grams of coffee powder, and it should be compacted and flattened, not too tight and too loose. Second, you have to check whether the upper cover of the pods of coffee powder is blocked, if it is blocked, the hot water of the coffee machine can not go down to the powder bowl, it will overflow along the edge.

  23. the machine vibrates a lot, placed on the table on the move?

    Our machine supports illy’s 44mm E.S.E Bags, other sizes are not supported.

  26. How to clean the machine?
    Load the empty pods and put a cup underneath; put citric acid into the water tank; press the small cup and turn on the power at the same time; when the on/off button and the small cup light up, press the small cup button to start cleaning for 120 seconds.  It is recommended to clean it once in three months, at least two times each time.

  27. How many cups of coffee can be made when the machine works continuously?
