For a situation that could be hazardous, which could cause serious bodily injury or death.

  • Attention
For a situation that could be hazardous, which could cause mild injury or material damage.

Symbols on the device
High-pressure jets can be dangerous if used incorrectly. Do not direct the jet at people, animals or live electrical equipment, or point it at the device itself.

Intended use

Use this pressure washer exclusively

  • for cleaning with low-pressure jets and detergent (such as for cleaning machines, vehicles, buildings, tools),
  • for cleaning with the high-pressure jet without detergent (such as for cleaning facades, terraces, gardening tools). We recommend using the turbo nozzle (optional) for more stubborn dirt.

Safety devices

Bypass valve with pressure switch
When the lever of the manual spray gun is released, a pressure switch disengages the pump and the high-pressure jet stops. When the lever is pressed, the pump engages again.

Start-up

Electrical connection
Danger

  • Risk of injury from electrical discharge. Connect the device to AC power only. The device may only be connected to an electrical connection that has been installed by an electrician in accordance with IEC 60364-1.
  • The power supply must match the voltage indicated on the machine’s nameplate. Minimum fuse protection of the power outlet (see technical data).
  • The maximum permissible mains impedance at the electrical connection point (see technical data) must not be exceeded. In case of confusion about the existing mains impedance at your connection point, contact your power supply company. It is crucial for the device to be connected with a plug to the mains. Establishing a non-separable connection to the power grid is prohibited. The plug is used to disconnect from the mains. Before each start-up, check the power cord and mains plug for damage. If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced immediately by a qualified electrician from authorized customer service.
  • The plug and coupling of the extension cord used must be waterproof.
  • Use an extension cord with sufficient cross-section (see “Technical Data”) and wind from the front of the cord drum. Unsuitable extension cords can be dangerous. For outdoor use, use only extension cords that are expressly approved for this purpose, properly marked and with sufficient cross-section:
  • Connection values: see nameplate/technical data.
Water connection

Water inlet connection

  • Warning

    • Follow the water supplycompany’s regulations.
    • In accordance with current regulations, use of the machine is prohibited without a system separator in the drinking water network. A suitable system separator from KÄRCHER should be used or, alternatively, a system separator complying with EN 12729 type BA.
    • The water that has passed through a system separator will be classified as non-potable.
  • Attention
Always connect the system separator to the water supply, never directly to the device

  • Connection values, see technical data.
Connect the supply hose (recomm. width 5-10 m, min. diameter 1/2”) to the device’s water connection and to the water supply (such as to the tap).

  • Note
The water supply hose is not included in the scope of delivery.
    Open the water supply.

Management

  • Danger
    • Risk of explosion
    • Do not spray any flammable liquids. When using the device in areas with explosion risk (such as gas stations), the relevant safety regulations must be followed.
  • Attention
    • Clean motors only in areas with the respective oil separator (environmental protection).
    • Risk of clogging. Only place the nozzles in the accessory compartment with the nozzle outlet facing upward.

Working with high pressure
Note
The device is equipped with a pressure switch. The motor only starts when the gun trigger has been pulled.
