Getting Started

The widescreen web camera supports plug & play. Read the following steps and use the web camera with your video calling apps.

  1. After connecting the camera to the computer’s USB port, you may launch any video calling app that accepts a USB video stream, such as Skype. Select “TK-CA002 Camera” as your camera in video settings.
  2. To use the camera’s built-in microphone, select “TK-CA002 Camera” as the audio input device in the audio settings.

VERY IMPORTANT

  • If the computer does not recognize TK-CA002 automatically when it is plugged in, try plugging it into a different USB port, or unplug and plug it back in.
  • If this does not help, restart the computer.
  • Then the camera will be recognized in most instances.

Lens Care

  1. Use a blower to remove dust and lint from the lens surfaces. To remove smudges and fingerprints, apply a small amount of ethanol or lens cleaner to a soft, clean cotton cloth or lens-cleaning tissue and clean from the centre outwards using a circular motion, taking care not to leave smears or touch the glass with your fingers.
  2. Never use organic solvents such as paint thinner or benzene to clean the lens.
  3. Keep the webcam dry. Rusting of the internal mechanism can cause irreparable damage.
  4. Leaving the webcam in extremely hot locations could damage or warp parts made from reinforced plastic.
