Product Usage Instructions

Battery Installation:
-
Open the battery cover on the underside of the mouse.

Insert two AA batteries, ensuring they match the polarity markings.

Close the battery cover.

Switch on the mouse by adjusting the power switch underneath. Slide it to the right to turn on the mouse. The blue LED power indicator at the top of the mouse will light up.

Note: Ensure the batteries are inserted with correct polarity (+ and – ends matching the markings).

DPI Switch:
To switch between the 5 DPI levels, press either the DPI + button or the DPI – button. -
Low Power Indicator:
The mouse has a low power indicator. When the battery power is low, the red indicator under the DPI button will flash. Replace the batteries with new AA alkaline dry cell batteries. -
Reconnection:

If the mouse needs to be reconnected, ensure the battery voltage is correct. Replace the batteries if needed.

Press and hold the Left click button and Scroll Wheel simultaneously to reconnect.

Unplug the Nano receiver from the USB port and plug it in again.

Attention:
- To maximize battery life, it is recommended to use the mouse on a white or light-colored surface. Avoid using it on special surfaces like smooth, dark, black, reflecting, and 3D mouse pads.
- If the mouse is not used for 10 minutes, it will enter auto-sleep mode. Press any key or move the mouse to reactivate it.
- Avoid using the mouse on glass or mirrored surfaces as it may cause temporary failure.
- Avoid using the mouse on metal surfaces as they can shield the radio frequency transmission and slow down cursor response time or cause temporary failure.

Note : The Scroll Wheel only works under the operating systems listed above. If you use the mouse under a different operatingsystem, the mouse may either not work or lose its enhanced features.
Instructions
Battery Installation
The WM289 optical mouse uses two AA batteries (not included).
- Open the battery cover. Insert the batteries into the compartment, ensuring they correspond with the polarity markings.
- Close the battery cover. Switch on the WM289 by adjusting the power switch underneath the mouse. Switch it to the left, the LED indicator will turn off, switch it to the right, the LED indicator will turn on. The blue LED power indicator at the top of the mouse will be light up.
Note : Make sure that the polarity of the batteries is correct. The positive (+) and negative (-) ends of each battery must match the positive (+) and negative (-) markings in the battery housing.
DPI switch:
To switch to either one of the 5 DPI levels, press the “DPI +” button or the
“DPI -” button.
Low Power Indicator:
The mouse is equipped with a low power indicator. When the battery power gets
low during the period of use, the red indicator under the DPI button will
flash. Please replace the battery.
Note : We recommend you to use AA alkaline dry cell batteries.
Reconnection:
There is a connection code for this mouse. High temperatures, electro-magnetic
fields or vibration may influence the code signal and the mouse may need to be
reconnected.
- Ensure the battery voltage is correct; if the voltage is low, replace the batteries.
- Press the Left click button + Scroll Wheel to reconnect.
- Unplug the Nano receiver and plug it into the USB port again.
Attention:
- To maximize battery life, it’s recommended to use the mouse on a white or light colour surface. As the mouse might not work smoothly on some special surfaces, such as smooth, dark or black, reflecting and 3D mouse pads surfaces.
- If not used, the mouse will drop into auto-sleep mode within 10 minutes. Press any key or move the mouse to re-activate the mouse.
- Do not use the mouse on a glass or mirrored surface, as these surfaces will cause the mouse to fail temporarily.
- Avoid using the mouse on a metal surface. Metals, such as iron, aluminium or copper, shield the radio frequency transmission and may slow down the mouse cursor response time or cause the mouse to fail temporarily.
- If your PC has a metal case that contains aluminium or magnesium, use the mouse by the side of the PC. The display panel may interfere with the radio frequency if you use the mouse directly in front of the PC.

to the original purchaser of this TECKNET product that the product shall be
free of defects in design, assembly, material, or workmanship. What the period
of coverage is. Unichain warrants the TECKNET product for 12 Months.
What will we do to correct problems?
Unichain will repair or replace, at its option, any defective product free of
charge (except for shipping charges for the product).
What is not covered by this warranty?
All above warranties are null and void if the TECKNET product is not provided
to Unichain for inspection upon Unichain’s request at the sole expense of the
purchaser, or if Unichain determines that the TECKNET product has been
improperly installed, altered in any way, or tampered with. The TECKNET
Product Warranty does not protect against acts of God such as flood,
earthquake, lightning, war, vandalism, theft, normal-use wear and tear,
erosion, depletion, obsolescence, abuse, damage due to low voltage
disturbances (e.g. brownouts or sags), non-authorized program, or system
equipment modification or alteration.
