Intended use

This digital weekly clock timer can be used to programme the switch-on and switch-off times of suitable electrical devices and lamps. The display allows an overview of various settings. The weekly clock timer has a random switching. The product is splash-proof according to protection class IP44 and suitable for outdoor use. The maximum power/current consumption is 1800 W / 8 A.
For safety and approval purposes, do not rebuild and/or modify this product. Using the product for purposes other than those described above may damage the product. In addition, improper use can cause hazards such as a short circuit, fire or electric shock. Read the operating instructions carefully and store them in a safe place. If you pass the product on to a third party, please hand over these operating instructions as well. This product complies with statutory, national and European regulations. Safety instructions

Read the operating instructions carefully and observe in particular the safety instructions. If you do not follow the safety instructions and information on proper handling in these operating instructions, we will assume no liability for any resulting personal injury or damage to property. Such cases will invalidate the warranty/guarantee.
a) Persons / product

  • The product is not a toy. Keep out of the reach of children and pets.

  •  Do not leave packaging material lying around carelessly. It may become a dangerous toy for children.

  • Protect the product from extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, strong jolts, high humidity, moisture, flammable gases, vapours and solvents.

  •  Do not place the product under any mechanical stress.

  •  If it is no longer possible to operate the product safely, take it out of operation and protect it from any accidental use. Safe operation can no longer be guaranteed if the product:
    – is visibly damaged,
    – is no longer working properly,
    – has been stored for extended periods in poor ambient conditions or
    – has been subjected to any serious transport-related stresses.

  • Please handle the product carefully. Jolts, impacts or a fall even from a low height may damage the product.

  •  Always observe the safety instructions and operating instructions of any other devices which are connected to the product.

  • The product is splash-proof according to protection class IP44 and suitable for outdoor use.
    The timer must be plugged vertically into an IP44 outdoor wall outlet to ensure IP44 splash protection.

  • Although the product is suitable for outdoor use, it must be moved to a warmer area in the case of extremely low temperatures. Make sure that the maximum permissible temperature of -10 °C is not exceeded.

  • Do not overload the weekly clock timer. The maximum power/current consumption is 1800 W / 8 A.

  • Do not plug in multiple timers or sockets in a row.

  • The product is de-energised only when the plug is unplugged.

  • Never cover the product during use.

  • For safety reasons, disconnect the product from the mains socket during storms.

  • The product must be easily accessible at all times.

  •  Never use the product immediately after it has been brought from a cold room into a warm one. The condensation that forms might destroy the device. Allow the product to reach room temperature before connecting it and putting it into use. This may take several hours.

  • Never pour liquids over electrical devices or place objects filled with liquid next to the device.
    If liquid or a foreign object enters the interior of the device nevertheless, first power down the respective mains socket (e.g. switch off the circuit breaker) and then pull the mains plug from the mains socket. Do not operate the product any more afterwards, but take it to a specialist workshop.

  •  Always comply with the accident prevention regulations of the Federation of Commercial Professional Associations for electrical installations and facilities when using the product in commercial facilities.

  •  Never plug in or unplug or operate the product with damp or wet hands. There is a risk of fatal electric shock!

  • Consult a technician if you are not sure how to use or connect the product, or if you have concerns about safety.

  • Maintenance, modifications and repairs must only be carried out by a technician or a specialist repair centre.

  • If you have any questions that are not answered in these operating instructions, please contact our technical customer service or other professionals.

b) (Rechargeable) batteries

  • The rechargeable battery is permanently built into the product and cannot be replaced.
  • Never damage the rechargeable battery. Damaging the casing of rechargeable batteries may cause an explosion or a fire!
  • Never short-circuit the contacts/connections of the rechargeable battery. Do not throw the rechargeable battery or the product into fire. There is a danger of fire and explosion!
  • Charge the rechargeable battery regularly, even if you are not using the product. Due to the rechargeable battery technology being used, you do not need to discharge the rechargeable battery first.

Operation

  1. Take the product out of the packaging and check for any transport damage.
  2.  The built-in rechargeable battery takes two hours to fully charge. Connect the weekly clock timer to a suitable socket with protective contact for charging.
  3.  If the display (1) of the device does not function properly, you can reset the device using the RESET button (6). To do this, press the RESET button with a pointed object (e.g. paper clip end) and hold down for approx. 3 seconds.
  4. Then enter the data to set the following programming functions: Time → Timer → Random function→ Countdown function

The programmes you programmed, countdown mode, and random mode start only in AUTO status. When in the time display, press the ON/OFF button to toggle between “ON”, “AUTO” and “OFF”. In the “ON” status, your devices are permanently switched on. In the “OFF” status, your devices are permanently switched off. Programmes are only run in “AUTO” status.
Countdown mode, random mode and the set programmes cannot be activated at the same time.
Make sure that the product is not overloaded. Observe the technical data. The product is equipped with a permanently installed fuse that is not interchangeable. If the fuse trips, decommission the product. The product can then no longer be used.
a) Setting the time formats
Two different time formats can be displayed. To toggle between time formats, press and hold the CLOCK button (2) until the display changes.
12-hour display 11:59 to 12:00 with AM or PM 24-hour display 00:00 to 23:59

b) Setting the weekday

  1. Press and hold the SET button (4) until the day of the week flashes on the display. The days are displayed in the following order: Mo Tu We Th Fr Sa Su.
  2. To scroll through the screen in the order shown, press the “Λ+” button (5). The “V-” button (3) allows to select the weekdays in reverse order. To scroll through the weekdays faster, press and hold the “Λ+” or “V-“” button. Release the corresponding button as soon as the desired day of the week is displayed.
  3. Confirm your setting by pressing the SET button or wait until the selected day of the week stops flashing.

c) Setting the time of day
After setting the day of the week, the hour indicator lights up on your display. Now set the current time of day.

  1. To increase the number of hours, press the “Λ+” button. Pressing the “V-” button allows you reducing the number of hours. To scroll through the hour display, press and hold the “Λ+” or “V-” button. Release the corresponding button as soon as the desired number of hours is displayed.
  2. Confirm your entry again by pressing the SET button. Then you can set the minutes. Repeat steps 1 and 2 of the time setting.

d) Setting the summer time

  1. Press the CLOCK button and the “V-” button simultaneously to switch to summer time. An hour is added to the current time. The display will show “S” permanently.
  2. You can undo this setting by simultaneously pressing the CLOCK- and “S” buttons.
    To set the day of the week and time, the time must be shown on the display. If you are in programming mode, press the CLOCK button to return to the time display.

e) Programming mode
The programming mode can be started by pressing the “Λ+” button. “1ON” appears on the display. “1” indicates the programme group. “ON” means that the device is switched on at the set time. “OFF” means that the device is switched off at the set time.

  1. The programme group can be selected using the “Λ+” and “V-” buttons as described in c) “Setting the time of day”. The groups are displayed as follows: 1ON, 1OFF … 20ON, 20OFF and d ON/OFF (Countdown).
    When you have selected the desired programme group, press the SET button. You can now select the desired weekdays or weekday combinations for this programme. To do this, press the “Λ+” button. The display shows the days of the week or weekday combinations in the following order:

    SA SU
    MO TU WE

    MO TU WE TH FR
    MO TU WE TH FR SA

  2. Press “V-” button to display the combinations in reverse order.

  3.  Confirm your setting by pressing the SET button.

  4.  After the weekday setting, you can now set the associated hours. Please observe steps 1 to 2 in c) “Setting the time of day”.

  5. To set other programme groups or to change your set programme, repeat steps 1 to 4 in this section.
    Example:
    A device should be activated on Monday between 10:00 and 10:10.
    Set the programme 1ON to Mo, 10:00. Your device will be switched on at this time. To switch off the device at 10:10, set the programme 1OFF to Mo, 10:10. Your device is switched off from this time point.

To reset a programme, enter the programming mode. Select the appropriate programme and press the ON/OFF button (9).
To return to the time display, press the CLOCK button. Alternatively, the display automatically returns to the time display after 15 seconds.

f) Countdown

  1.  The countdown starts from the current real-time display.
  2.  If you are in the real-time display, press the “V-” button to use the countdown mode. The display will show “d ON” (or “d OFF”). “d” indicates the activated countdown mode. If “d ON” is set, your device will be switched on until the counter expires. If “d OFF” is set, your device will be switched off until the countdown expires.
  3.  Press the SET button to start the settings. You can set the number of hours, minutes and seconds. To set the desired number, proceed as described in b) “Setting the weekday”. The number of seconds is also set equivalent to the number of hours.
  4.  Press the C.D. button (8) to start the set countdown. Press the C.D. button again to end the countdown mode.

Press the “V-” button to display the countdown details.
To change your settings, repeat steps 1 to 3 in this section.

g) Random mode
The random mode switches your devices on and off at irregular intervals.

  1. Start the random mode by pressing the RND button (7). Your devices will be switched off for 26 minutes to 42 minutes. The switch-on phases last for 10 minutes to 26 minutes.
  2.  To disable the random mode, press the RND button again.

Care and cleaning

  • Never use aggressive detergents, rubbing alcohol or other chemical solutions, as these may damage the housing or cause the product to malfunction.
  • Disconnect the timer from the mains before cleaning.
  • Do not immerse the product in water or other liquids.
  • Never open/disassemble the product as it has no parts to be serviced.
  • A dry, soft and clean cloth is sufficient for cleaning. Do not press too hard on the housing, as this can lead to scratch marks.
  • Dust can be easily removed using a soft and clean long-haired brush.

Disposal

This symbol must appear on any electrical and electronic equipment placed on the EU market.
This symbol indicates that this device should not be disposed of as unsorted municipal waste at the end of its service life.
Owners of WEEE (Waste from Electrical and Electronic Equipment) shall dispose of it separately from unsorted municipal waste. Spent batteries and accumulators, which are not enclosed by the WEEE, as well as lamps that can be removed from the WEEE in a non-destructive manner, must be removed by end users from the WEEE in a non-destructive manner before it is handed over to a collection point.
Distributors of electrical and electronic equipment are legally obliged to provide free take-back of waste.
